  1. It will still be treated as their "conference" though, and based on the games confirmed as well as the ones rumored, it's gonna be a mighty fine Nintendo Direct. They are having several sessions as well for the media. Personally, I'm most looking forward to the 1 1/2 hour conference on Pokémon X and Y.
  2. Resolutions higher than 1080p have been around for awhile. Its called 4K (basically, 4000p). There are tv's that display it called Ultra HD tv's but they are crazy expensive. The PS4 has the capabilities to display 4K pictures and video but not games. Just saying. I thought the same thing at first and I still think it about the Xbox 1. Xbox 1 has 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. I currently have 16 GB of DDR3 RAM in my Macbook Pro. This is pretty standard RAM for computers these days but 8 GB for a gaming console is not a lot, but this draws back to Microsoft's emphasis on cloud computing and processing for the Xbox 1. The PS4 on the other hand, has 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM, basically the best RAM you can get. The G stands for Graphics meaning that it is made to handle normal operations as well as graphics intensive ones.
  3. I doubt that it does. This pretty much sums it up though.
  4. First, thanks to the people who have said they liked my opinions. Second, I see how by 2015/2016, it's likely release timeframe, many of you would think KH3 would be on PS4 only, I mean, the PS3 will be done with right? Well like I have said, Sony plans to support PS3 through 2015 at minimum, other companies have already announced support through 2017. Also, Nomura has said he wants to unite the series. He may be somewhat of a troll, but he does realize how fragmenting the series has been bad, one of the primary reasons for the HD collection(s). Why release 2 (presumably) major collections on ps3 only to have the game they lead up ONLY available on another system that the consumer will have to purchase in order to play the game. This defeats the entire purpose of the uniting the series onto a single console. This is just one more reason I think it will be available on both.
  5. I think it will be on both PS3 and PS4. Especially if it is out by 2015. (my guess with HD 1.5 in 2013, presumably 2.5 in 2014, and KH3 in 2015 to keep Nomura's KH game a year plan) 2015 is the final year of official Sony support for PS3, though other companies have already announced support for current gen through 2016 or 17. Seeing as KH3 is the conclusion of the Xehanort saga, it would make sense to release it on PS3 to conclude the saga. Yet, at the same time, there is sure to be a preview of the next KH saga, and the PS4 would be an excellent platform to kickstart this new saga. Personally, I really hope it's on both, because I only got a PS3 last year due to the price, and I won't have the money for a PS4 for awhile. yay college...
  6. As far as hardware specs go, it makes sense when comparing PS4 to XBox One. Xbox has an in-house made processor (same mistake sony made with the PS3), while sony has a very powerful, but more standard x86 processor. XB1 has 8 GB of DDR3 RAM (my macbook pro has 16 GB of this) and PS4 has 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM, the most powerful RAM there is, that contains extra power specifically for graphics. Not to mention, XB1 has fees for using a game on more than one system, AKA extra used game charges, PS4 doesn't have this. Also requires Kinect to work. I was not impressed by the XBox One. PS4 impressed me. I'll make a new judgement when more comes out at E3 as well as in the fall when the systems finally release, but from an investor standpoint, the capabilities of the system when compared to PS4 are not on the same level.
  7. can you provide a link to this interview. I don't remember it. I'm not saying you're making it up or anything, I would just love to read it!! Same here!!! I still need to get like 6 and there are at least 6 or 7 more this year I want to get... Send me a message with your 3DS friend code btw, mine is in my signature.
  8. luckily for you the 3ds has a ridiculous lineup of games. and this year has a ton more coming
  9. Personally, I think KH3 will be released on PS3 AND PS4! It will serve as the conclusion of the Xehanort saga (and the end of KH on PS3) yet also as the bridge to a new saga (and the beginning of KH on PS4) Here's why: - Nomura said he wants to release a KH game every year. --- 2013: KH HD 1.5 --- 2014: (presumably) KH HD 2.5 --- 2015: ???? --> My guess is KH3 Now my reasoning for the timeline: -- Some people think KH X [chi] will be released in 2015 and KH3 in 2016. THAT"S SILLY!! KH X [chi] is already out in beta in Japan and should be out in beta in other countries around the respective releases of KH HD 1.5. -- Some people think that BBS Vol. 2 will be released in 2015 and KH3 in 2016. Possible, yet Nomura already said they had no intentions of releasing bbs vol. 2 and also that KH3 should come next. -- 2015 is the last "official" Sony supported year for the PS3 (as of right now). It would not surprise me if they allowed the system to go out with a bang with a game like KH3. Of course, this is my own personal speculation. It could be right, it's probably wrong! Haha, it just seems reasonable to me.
  10. KH3D is gorgeous in 3D. The depth feature is amazing. Fire Emblem Awakening isnt bad. The grid for each level looks cool. I wasnt too impressed with kid icarus. Too much movement for the 3d too really work consistently so I usually play with it off. Paper mario sticker star is neat. good use of depth. Super mario 3d land is very nice too. I think my top game would be KH3D for use of 3D effect.
  11. If I remember correctly: in the Nintendo Direct, it was announced as a part of the eShop portion, meaning there will not be limited copies
  12. I mean sony just stopped PS2 production last year and the PS3 was hitting 6 years! haha but yeah DS is done.
  13. Thats why Lightning Returns was announced with a trailer in English right?
  14. Had to buy Fire Emblem Awakening as a digital copy. I wasnt sure when they would get more physical ones and I wanted the free DLC, so I went ahead and bought it to be safe.
  15. I will go see this the day it comes out, no hesitation
  16. It includes the full info from the cutscenes, the reports, and the hidden (unlockable) reports in the game. No new info, just presented in a slightly new format.
  17. The more people ask about it, the more likely Square will realize we all want it. And who know, publishers are starting to listen more to the cries of their fans.
  18. Versus will probably be a launch title for PS4. The issue is the engines they worked with during this console generation. The original one for Versus was taking a long time, and then they moved to updated ones. Now, if you've seen the demonstration by square of their new one for Next-gen, it is supposed to cut game production time and costs by half. I'm assuming they have been converting it over to that for a PS4 launch. Also, remember that last year, several people from square who are close to the project (I forget their names) said that it was still coming out, and being localized, etc. It's just one of those games that took a lot longer than it should have. It is like the Avatar of video games. James Cameron wrote Avatar the year after titanic. Then went through 13 years of production before it happened. Makes 7 years for Versus seem short.
  19. I could see them releasing it on Wii U eventually or at least the second collection. But I highly doubt that it will ever be on Xbox. it never has been. Why start now? It is well established on Nintendo and Sony systems.
  20. People were saying the stuff about the secret message pointing to an HD collection about 2 days after the game released and someone beat it and put up the message. Someone translated it and voila, "never-before-seen detail" = hd collection
  21. I could see some aging happen. Not a lot, but with better technology they can have aged faces and maybe be a bit taller. New outfits. that kinda stuff. I mean the only difference so far between KH2 and 3d was riku cut his hair. Honestly it depends on where KH3 will pick up the story. If it is immediately after 3D, they may not change much. if there is some more time, there might be a bigger difference
  22. Magby = Magama + Baby
