I hate it when you're with people, and every single attempt at contributing to a conversation is ignored completely, even when it is relevant, clever, and well placed in the structure of the conversation.

I heard the king was dying, I heard the king was dead, and with him died the chronicles that no one ever read. The closet's fully empty now, it's occupied by none, I'll draw the drapes, now destiny is done.

Do any of you pay any attention to leitmotifs while you watch movies and stuff?
Dave repliedI loved how the composing of The Lord of the Rings found its way into The Hobbit, and brought all the meaning with it. Like, when Gandalf and Elrond are talking, and before you even see Sauruman appear, you hear the Isengard theme, and its just as imposing. Or the theme of the Ring itself, and how it keeps the same tune, but occasionally changes the instrument or pitch, depending on who it's talking to.
Zola repliedYES! Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit both had some extremely awesome stuff going on in the music! Erebor still gives me chills. And Gandalf's theme! Aaaah I just love it so much.

Last night I dreamt that I was in the final level of a videogame, and something was throwing boulders at me from above, so I had to keep running towards the end of the game, but I kept on missing an important item in my haste, and had to keep re-trying that final level until I got it. Stupid boulders.

I opened up my old soccer bag and couldn't figure out why it smelled like corn chips. But then I found a lovely pair of socks in the bottom that were never washed for some reason. I haven't used that bag to carry stuff for six years now.

It was awesome at work. The police were pulling out guns and hiding behind cars and stuff. Too bad the dude didn't get to eat his sandwich.
