  1. I believe it was more than just that. It was an allegory to an experience we all feel every day, running from our past, our own memes. There is no escape from it, and until we can learn to confront our own painful memes we cannot progress lest we free run in an endless void of 360 no scopes and air horns.Clearly Nintendo just didn't get it, and that's why the magnum opus of our time was taken down.
  2. I don't find them scary either, but I love the adventure game format though. The first PSP version of Corpse Party really pulls off that style well while still being rather disturbing. It's probably the best horror / adventure game out there outside of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, and it really avoids the "edgy" tropes a lot of those pixel-artwork games tend to use.
  3. The day Nintendo stops making Super Mario games and merchandising is the same day when Disney retires Mickey Mouse as their mascot.
  4. If it's been purified, it can be traded to any copy of a Gen 3 game, so it's not impossible to get one in AS.
  5. It's not bad, but it's pretty much like every other Yoshi platformer out there after SMW2.

  8. The 4Kids-dubbed seasons are the only ones I can really stomach, both because of nostalgia and the writing is just much better for what it was (though I've only seen parts of DPP and XY and haven't even bothered with Best Wishes because of how infamous it is for being the worst season). The Indigo League season is still top tier, though really the anime only started to get "bad" about halfway in the Johto season.Best movie is Spell of the Unown just because of James's line about the personal ad. lol
  9. It was literally a reskinned Twilight fanfiction, so take that for what you will. There was a hilarious blog my sister sent me ages ago that someone did with the original book where they wrote down what they thought about each chapter after reading it and picking apart everything that was wrong with it, and that would probably be the only reason you should know anything about the plotline.EDIT: Just found it, and it's still as funny as I remembered.
  10. All I know is that this dress triggers me.(also it's white and gold)
  11. I liked the branching paths system, but honestly all of the 3D sonic games before Colors just kinda suck. The only reason Shadow stands out is because of how "edgy" he is, along with how the game comes off as way too tryhard to make a dark and gritty storyline in a series about anthropomorphic animals that collect rings.Sega just tried too hard to appeal to its 8th-graders-with-a-deviantart-account fanbase.
  12. I mean it's kinda true, if you wanna get technical with it. lol
  13. I already got Majora's Mask and MH4, so really the only things I'm looking forward to at the moment are Etrian Mystery Dungeon, Story of Seasons, and the Devil Survivor 2 3DS port. Would get Persona 5 if I has a PS3 or 4, though.(And maybe Youkai Watch if Level-5 does deliver and release it this year)
  14. I've barely even touched the guild quests stuff and I'm about 40 hours in. I just unlocked the 5-star Caravan quests so I've been struggling with those.
  15. I've been snowed in all week so MH4 is the only thing I've been doing. lol
  16. Yeah, I just let Ringabel run with black magic and Edea with physical attacks since Tiz and Agnes were pretty much the only way I got through that fight. That's one thing I didn't like about Bravely Default since there's some places where the fights are ridiculously easy, but then they suddenly ramp up because there's no real way to deal with dark and light magic at that point other than to use Reflect on yourselves, which unfortunately also means you can't use Cure spells without them being reflected at the enemy too. Right outside of Edea's hometown is pretty good at that point for farming jp and levels, though once you get to chapter 5 there's this one group of enemies outside of Florem that can give out an insane amount of JP to where the experience gap issue to level up and master jobs is pretty much gone (along with the actual level experience since the amount of exp needed to level up stops scaling around lv 80). Luckily the next boss you have is the final one for Chapter 4, and he's much easier to deal with than Victor / Victoria. Unfortunately you actually have to equip support abilities even if they're associated with a job class, and you only ever get 5 "slots" from what I've seen. I actually haven't beaten BD yet since I stopped on Chapter 5, so yeah it kinda sucks.
  17. Sorry, I should have specified that I had Agnes's sub-ability set as White Mage so she had access to the Cure, Esuna, and Raise spells so she could undo the damage Victoria can do. I don't remember what stat boosts I equipped for her, but I just remember setting Buff Up on her so as long as she stays alive she doesn't have as much trouble dying, and with poison being nullified she wouldn't go down for a couple of rounds at least, or at least long enough for her to spam Brave for 4 turns. For Tiz, I set one of his boosts with the P. Attack Up 20% one, and in the battle after Agnes would buff the party's attack up, and having Tiz use those Pirate moves that reduce the enemy's defense, if you let him go he can hit the 9999 damage limit per attack pretty easily. Really the only thing you need to focus on is negating the buffs Victor uses, and undoing the damage Victoria can do.
  18. Oooo girl, I know how you feel. I got stuck on them for a while too, but this is what I did from what I can remember, if you're still having trouble: What I ended up doing was giving Agnes the poison-nullifying accessory, and had her main Performer with access to White Magic (though I also grinded job levels for a bit beforehand). That way, because of that special ability where the Performer's stats increase by 5% every turn until they cap at 125%, she would be able to spam White Magic skills while also buffing the party up and neutralizing the status buffs Victor uses, and she would be able to act as a necromancer if everyone dies from poison.I also had Tiz main with Pirate and spammed the buff / debuff skills too since I believe they stack with Performer's moves, and proceeded to wreck with Berserk. I don't remember what class Edea was, but I left Ringabel as a Black Mage.It might help to level everyone up until they hit the 50s or so too. The area outside of Edea's hometown is the best place to (job) level grind until you get access to the next chapter.
  19. Nah, there's a couple of people I know who don't like MH either. lol You have to go into it expecting something like Dark Souls where you have to take into account how all of the weapon types work, their lag time, how the monster behaves and predicting what it's about to do, etc. I love it, though I know there's such a steep learning curve to it, and it's just a type of game not everyone would like.
  20. It ended up being about $260 including tax when I ordered from Gamestop online, but I had a couple of gift cards left so it ended up being about the MSRP anyway. My XL was pretty ghetto because of broken hinge and broken circle pad syndrome, and MH4 ended up being my favorite 3DS game to date, so I really consider the purchase justified. Plus the blue-and-silver color scheme on the 3ds's shell itself is very pretty.
  21. I'm glad I got the MH4 bundle no one cares about. lol
  22. I think digital games are fine if they have physical versions too so you have the choice of owning a copy or just a license to play it out of convenience. BTW Monster Hunter 4 is insanely good, but I'm sure there'll be enough copies to go around. MH3U copies are still floating around out there, and I doubt Capcom would have only made a first print or some bullshit like that.
  23. I like first person ones better than third person ones (e.g. Wizardry, the older MegaTen stuff, Etrian Odyssey, Legend of Grimrock), but dungeon crawlers are pretty rad no matter the perspective.
