I just want people to know that this isn't an "event" like E3 or D23. Look what Square did with Tomb Raider 3. They didn't let anyone know, and they didn't release any footage.

I hope people realize that IF this event in May happens, that it won't be livestreamed, nothing official will be shared, and the people probably won't get to talk about it for like a week or so. And if it's real, I'm calling a late Sept./early Oct. KH3 release.

Fun action scenes and character interactions, but ultimately felt meh about it. This is so obviously a Part 1 of 2 sort of deal, that a lot of things "kinda" went nowhere. Obviously I don't want to spoil anything here, but it's similar to how the Deathly Hallow movies were. The first one is only significant because the second movie justifies it.

Yes, it is true that Sora never met a lot of summons in KH1 and KH2, but that is not how Summon Links will work in KH3. Nomura said back at D23 in February (with the Ariel reveal) that the Summon Links will be people Sora has met on his journey already on his journey. In other words, Sora is not going to find a random summon gem/charm on the ground and it's Pocahontas. He needs to have formed bond with them, thus the word Summon Link. The ONLY way around this would be if Sora meets this character in KH3 (like meeting Pocahontas in Twilight Town forest or something) and then her world is in Union X. But that seems pretty cheap for Nomura to tease us in this way.

I'm surprised there wasn't a specific thread for this, but it's about the new world for Union Cross and summon for KH3. At first it seemed tricky, but it's actually quite the small list. The two things we know are: -KH3 summons are characters Sora has already formed a bond with. -The new Union X world is a Disney world that has yet to be in the series (and won't be in KH3). To the best of my recollection, these are the only Disney characters, that Sora is friends with, and haven't had their world shown: -Pongo, Perdita, and Dalmatians (101 Dalmatians) -Merlin (The Sword and the Stone) -Bambi (Bambi) -Dumbo (Dumbo) -Chicken Little (Chicken Little) Based on this list, my bet is Merlin as the summon. He's not MY 1st pick for a summon, but his world seems to be the only one that fits the best with the overall feeling of Union X (old and fairy tale-ish). Who do you all think it is? Is there someone I forgot?

Prediction: There will be a trailer shown at D23, but we won't get to see it until March 28th, as a sort of "birthday" present. That way, the attendees still get "exclusive" stuff.

No, I meant what I said. Back when the game was called Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, Nomura said that season 2 (a.k.a. Union Cross) would introduce three worlds: Castle of Dreams, Enchanted Dominion, and a Disney World that has yet to debut in the series. I doubt they'll discuss KH3 at this event that's suppose to focus on the mobile game. I would guess that D23 will reveal the season (Personal bet: Fall), E3 the month (September), and then the actual date sometime in the summer (September 24th).

I'm calling it now: This is where the "brand new Disney world that has yet to appear in the series" will be announced. This event is really random and awesome. Not to be the party pooper here either, but "critically acclaimed"? lol says who?

I'd totally be up for DLC Episodes with other characters, in fact I think that would be very appropriate. The mainline KH games have many important characters, but the games are ultimately about SORA's STORY, or at least his perspective. The mainline FF, while having a designated "leader" (Lightning, Tidus, etc.), those games have always been about the journey of the groups. That's where the FFXV DLC screwed up. As long as KH3 has a complete Story for SORA, then DLC episodes are fine. I believe Riku & Mickey are going to save Aqua from the Realm of Darkness, and I assume Sora would not be a part of that trip, otherwise why split up in the first place? As long as Sora sees that Riku & Mickey have saved Aqua, he doesn't need to know about how it was necessarily accomplished. Basically, I would want DLC episodes that ADD to the story, not take away from it (which is what the FFXV Episode DLC did).

I think it will be out September. KH unfortunately can't compete during the holiday rush, but no game certainly wants to release around it, so September seems right. Take this time to broaden your horizons. Read a new book. Start a new TV series. Make new friends. Live life!

Just think: a month from now, the KH community will be united with the single thought "WHY HAVEN'T THEY RELEASED THE D23 TRAILER YET? THAT'S IT, I'M DONE WITH THE SERIES!"

I use to work there and the Christmas season was definitely the busiest. What sucks is that, even when it reaches max capacity and they close ticket booths, they still HAVE to let anyone in that's staying at the resorts. At some point it stops being fun lol

This is NOT a "What worlds do you wish for?" thread. This is trying to use logic to the best of our ability to figure out what sort of worlds will be in KH3, but nothing specific necessarily. Nomura has said KH3 will have less Disney worlds than KH2 (meaning less than 12), but said nothing of KH1 (which had 9). To me that says KH3 will have either 9, 10, or 11 Disney worlds. I will assume 10 for this thread. The only confirmed Disney worlds are: 1. Hercules (1997) 2. Tangled (2010) 3. Big Hero 6 (2014) 4. Toy Story (1995) Leaving six worlds left to be revealed. This is how I see it playing out: 5. Frozen It's the highest grossing animated film of all time, really popular, and unique. It's a done deal at this point. 6. One more Pixar world Based off of various interviews at D23, both Nomura & Pixar are over the moon about Toy Story being in KH3. It would be weird to cut it off at just one, so I think we get at least one more, probably one of the earlier films. Luckily, the recent Monsters Inc. leak fits into this, but you know, until confirmed and all that. 7. At least one more returning world There's no way Olympus Coliseum is the only returner. Nomura has said in the past that he likes returning worlds because they are safe, stable, and balance out the surprise worlds. (Personal bet: either Aladdin 3 or Pirates 2). 8. One world based on an old animated film The oldest thing so far is Toy Story from 1995. There's still a fair amount of hidden gems from back in the day, and you need a classic film to balance all of these (relatively) new films. (Personal bet: Jungle Book, or possibly Robin Hood). 9. One world based off a "loser" film in the 2000's While I like them, pretty much all the animated films during the 2000's were flops. They were financial bombs, critically hated, or have little park presence. The kids who grew up with them are old enough to appreciate their inclusion, and you can't have too many of these movie types together in a future KH installment. (Personal bet: Treasure Planet) 10. Freebie world for either point 7, 8, or 9 Depending how the rest of the list shakes out, these are the points that I think could "double up" in order to keep the world balance. What do you think? Is this sound thinking? Or is there problem with the list? Share your thoughts!

-One trailer will be shown. -One world reveal (probably Frozen, Japan REALLY likes the movie). -San Fransokyo gameplay shown in the trailer. -New Attraction Flow revealed (Maybe a Tower of Terror based one?). -Release month shown (I'm guessing September or October). -No footage will be released for a while. MAYBE April at the earliest. And just to counter some points: -There definitely could be a demo at E3, but they're not going to talk about it at a Japanese event. -They might show summons, but I think Nomura wants to properly discuss the mechanics ALREADY revealed. -New Riku and Kairi clothing could be revealed, but that depends on the new story cutscenes. -Unless Monster's Inc. is the next world reveal (which I doubt), they will neither confirm or deny the validity of the leaked images. Don't hold your breath.

Just thought I'd add this: Yeah, the Sora HUD model in the Monster's Inc. shots is the same as the old HUD model in the Rock Troll Heartless screenshot, except that the hoods are different colors. The RTH screenshot has a grey hood, while the MI shots have red like all the others. Once again, more work required than a simple copy and paste.

By this time next year, I'll have finished KH3 and be thinking "That was AWESOME! I can't wait for the Episode Riku DLC in March!" lol

I WOULD be drained, but I have a life outside of KH. Really, what would a trailer at Jump Festa do for sales? Fans and gamers have already decided if they're gonna get it or not. You need to wait closer to release to market to mainstream.

Sigh, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but... I think it's real. I think it's a Monster's Inc. world that is currently being worked on, thus why some things don't look quite finished. There's just too many things that scream legit to me: -Goofy running around in the background -Scorch marks on the floor -Remaking the small Unversed in the engine -Designing AND making the Unversed "boss" -Recreating the lobby from the movie pretty darn accurately -The see through menu in the bottom left I just can't believe someone would go THIS much out of their way, for what? Making a community scratch their heads a little bit? I'm sure someone has an example of a fake leak as elaborate as this, but I don't care. Anyone who has this much time, effort, and talent all for a joke is just a pretty big loser
