Well, I think there's a difference between being mean spirited and having an opinion. You should be able to voice your ideas, but not in a way that could be mean to others. Being mean spirited just sort of hurts everyone in the end, y'know?

People should be more open to that. People are open to other things why not this too.

I would recommend FE Awakening, and that's pretty much it. I haven't played Bravely, but it seems to be really good, you should keep that one in mind too.

If I may offer my own two cents, I was essentially restricted from nothing while growing up so I may have a view for this. I feel like sheltering your children is a good thing to do to a degree. Overprotection however is a thing and also has dire consequences. It's all about balance. These are however just my own views and I mean no disrespect to others.
