  1. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment in his tent with Maxis - Raiden backed up a step defensively at the menacing change in Maxis' appearance, but he recognised early that there was an illusive trick involved due to the search magic. Keeping himself steady, with his sword's hilt open and ready for grasping, he readied for seemingly anything, paying attention to both the illusion and reality as they interwove in his vision. However, which was the illusion, and which was reality? It was heavily difficult to differentiate with his unfamiliarity with the trickiness of such magicks. More difficult yet was finding out what was truth and what was falsehood from what was stated. It seemed that two differing personalities inhabited the same man from the manner of speech and his voice, and even after the false image was broken he felt shaken by this crazed suit of armour's "other side," if it even existed. Perspiration beaded and driveled down his face at the thought. "That was something," he murmured, gripping his head to steady himself. Sad to say, he always found himself susceptible to the illusory, though he grew accustomed to the tricks of illusion through occasional mind duels with Nihil. Counters were learned, and preparations formulated for such a case against any master of the unseen or misleading. Maxis stood before him, giddy as ever and full of vigor. Raiden questioned internally, probably from being on edge, if Maxis' response was real or fake. Also, there was the unfamiliar name of Vaude to which Maxis pointed out, though he hesitated to question exactly what was going on with that. "Nothing like that is going on with you?" voiced Raiden in half-baked suspicion. "I feel as if wrongness hangs about you like a corpse shroud, though you would know yourself more so than I could. If you need an ear to listen, I'm here. If not, let's get down to business with Shiva's killer, as we both hope to avenge her." Raiden's visage looked pained as he took on a more serious approach to things, eyes glittering dangerously. He seemed earnest to pursue the subject. - Rufus Contralto, above the Mystran encampment - The crazed djinni looked at her with a grave curiosity when Rabiyu spoke about her own memories, but he did not continue that subject for fear of worrying her. She seemed resolute as it was, and if he brought to the table something regarding herself she seemed like she would either break into tears or rebound him as if he fell onto a tight drum. Perhaps neither option was exactly so, but he moved on. "This is . . . certainly a rarity," he uttered in dumbfoundedness, hovering back and forth with a pacing motion at crazy speeds. Some time in, he stopped. "I shall tell you what, good mistress, how about this? In a fortnight -- which is two weeks -- you keep your wish for emergency reasons, or until this war is ended. If you have no need for the wish by that time, 'twould make me pleased to accept your wishing for my memories! If you do have need, utilise it! I'd be elephantine-ly proud to have a real master or mistress use my powers for a good cause rather than a selfish one!" He smiled at her with sincerity, his bushy hair swaying in as the breeze shifted to the other direction.
  2. I would aim for either a real-time strategy game or a 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate) strategy game, one which hopefully would contest with some of the greatest out there. Sadly my programming and coding skills are pitiful to make it a video game, but the thirty pages of planning I put into it isn't just for show and could be a good board game with a bit of arts and crafts! This is a fun question. Good on you for proposing it!
  3. No worries, mate; I scanned the Maxis post thoroughly and did not see any rules broken, so you are good there. If anything, I was speculating just how far the fourth wall has been broken, and how Raiden would react upon the name of Vaude. =P No changes have to be made, though I thank you for being sensitive to the prospect. Few roleplayers I come across wonder if they broke rules after posting. So, quick and strange question for you all: what movie would you be able to recite or quote a good portion of? I myself can quote a vast portion of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, though Emperor's New Groove and The Princess Bride I can rehearse from start to finish for whatever reason.
  4. - Rufus Contralto, above the Mystran encampment - The strange djinni looked at his elven mistress with great surprise following his swift turnaround, his mouth hanging just a little and his eyes wandering over her face. Finding her serious, he turned his frizzy head away. "I don't recall your mentioning any of this before, but . . . I admit having a wish granted for myself would be an immense boon for me. To remember would be enough -- to remember the tastes and textures of foodstuffs, to remember my past confederates in times long gone, to remember that girl. Aye, 'twould be grand, but surely a wish better suiting yourself lies on the horizon! You may be missing something yet not know it. Information privy only to the Fates until its revelation can be known prematurely. Lives can be restored! Are you so willing to refrain from wishing for yourself that you would gift it to someone who does not feel need but merely want?" Rufus ceased speaking, glancing back towards Rabiyu. The selflessness of the girl was frightfully strong to think about his wellbeing above her own, though he could not help but think highly of her for doing so. The world needed more of this trait. Heck, he needed more of this trait. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment within his tent with Maxis - The Mystran ruler looked between the three Maxises with a mix of apparent discomfort and relief. It seems that the crazed suits of armour agreed that he did not smell like the killer of the queen, for whatever reason. Instead, they just wanted to jibe him. Quelling an angry snarl at being poked at and having his collection perused, he answered the original's question. "Poorly, to say the least," he admitted with a sigh, attempting to mostly ignore the posturing of oppression from the three suits of armour. "The sensation of loss compounds itself within one over the years of knowing someone, and I knew her more than most present." He paused to obtain a solid visual scan of Maxis before continuing. "You seem to be wearing a new look, one I doubt is merely for show. Is it due to Shiva or something before her? This energy of yours . . . it's borderline untamed, yet controlled just enough."
  5. Congrats on getting an internship, bud! One of the hardest and most annoying truths to this world nowadays is that one needs an internship to get into a dream field quickly, and I am very glad to see you managed where I failed! If any among you are still in college and do not know it yet, I advise you to get even an internship without pay so that you will get experience under your belt. It is far better than sifting through hundreds of jobs over hundreds of hours and imprinting your resume/CV into memory like ink on parchment.
  6. I think I can speak for the both of us when I say Mystics and I are very happy to see that you and others have enjoyed this RP as much as you have over the years. Keeping this RP active over the course of two revolutions of the Earth around the sun has been a great pastime for the both of us, and it is a shame the roleplay will be over sometime within this year or so, but being with awesome roleplayers such as yourselves really brought out the gift of writing in all of us, I feel. I have seen such improvement not only in myself, but also in everyone else. =) Kuni, while things were slow at first your dedication shown through the veil, and I think you have improved the most of all, coming in stronger and stronger as time goes on -- a tsunami after such mild waves. Don't sell yourself short due to the past, and stand tall knowing that I consider you, as well as others, to be among the best roleplayers with whom I have ever had the pleasure to roleplay. As for your side note, the maps should be up on the roleplay thread itself on Page 1, Post 1, though please tell me if you are not able to see it. It might have something to do with being in a different country, sort of like international laws not permitting Youtube videos to be seen outside certain jurisdictions. If Typhon has googly eyes, Henry needs a beaglepuss.
  7. - Rufus Contralto, Mystran encampment - Rufus continued to drift lazily in the air, absent-mindedly glancing at the revolving world around him, until his mistress Rabiyu graced him with her presence. With a mighty yawn more akin to a squawk, he unfolded and righted himself to face her. "Good morning, milady!" he spoke jubilantly, arms thrown in the air in a series of idle stretches. "I rested just fine -- as fine as a thespian in a mad, mad world ever could, anyway -- but it happens that I cannot sleep in the typical manner, harrumph harrumph. Instead, I just wanted to take in the scenery and get away from the hustle and bustle. What better viewpoint than a hundred feet in the air with a fully open view?" His manic smile dropped to a puzzled expression as he realised something. "What the halibut? You're floating! Levitating! Drifting! How did this happen?! Pray don't tell me that you are a djinni too!" Regardless of what Rabiyu said regarding the matter, he stuck his head high and stared up towards the sun, one hand balled onto his hips, the other dramatically braced against his forehead. "What a world, what a world this is where unfortunate old souls like ourselves are turned into incorporeal individuals, cast upon the aether like cheese on a freshly made pizza! For shame! Fie on the universe for making you like me, unable to eat again!" He turned around, his entire mien shifting to curiosity. "Actually, how many wishes can you yield? I can wish you back! Djinn can wish on other djinn too, I think. It just has backlashes . . . I think." Of course, this had yet to be tested by Rufus, having never met a known fellow djinni before, but that was not going to stop him from making his assumption verbally legitimate. - Lord Raiden, Mystran Encampment in his tent with Maxis - Raiden felt the prickles in the back of his neck when an unnerving force appeared behind him, and a voice familiar but not known came out of his shadow. He turned around, expecting Nihil, but was surprised by the suit of armour, one he quickly remembered. "Maxis," he rumbled, arm slipping behind him to cast a search magic. Something was different about him than when they met all those years ago, and the illuminating nature of the magic revealed that the armour was peeling off intense darkness . . . and something else unknown to him. He kept his expression taciturn even as he inwardly cringed. This man could make a dangerous enemy, and he could guess to what this visit was pertaining. "It took Shiva to tell me that, yes. While I had my suspicions, I had great doubts. The boy doesn't look anything like me, though his nature reminds of my younger self." He frowned, pulled both arms behind him, and locked his hands together. "Might I ask what you are doing here, Maxis, or would you like me to guess?"

Welcome to the website! I adore your profile pic, having a love for all of the Eevee-lutions myself, especially Espeon, the sister Pokemon to Umbreon. Please enjoy your time here, meet new friends, and have a good time with everyone!
  9. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment - When Mariel came back into the tent, Raiden let loose a small smile in her direction. It seemed that she was done with her rounds, and the others seemed to be in agreement with the situation, excepting Henry, who had a curious assurance in a very unique skill-set. "You are able to read magical auras?" Raiden asked inquisitively, raising an eyebrow with the comment. "Someday you must tell me how you were able to perform that, though I will allow this should the others have room for another passenger on their . . . winged friend." He said the last bit with care, not sure if their winged friend was a person or animal. "I wish you all the quickest and best results, though I feel I must remind to exercise caution with the third-party killer on the loose. Keep your wits about you, and don't let down your guard. Losing any of you would be as disastrous as losing my dominant arm. You are dismissed then, with my blessing." With that, he headed to the nearest writing surface, a rough wooden plank on legs that mainly served as a bench, and requested some writing supplies from a nearby individual who seemed knowledgeable of where things were. Some missive paper, a bowl of wax, and a quill with its respective ink well were more than enough, along with a cup of weak berry tea, though Raiden took it all appreciatively. Shifting the bird to his right arm, he proceeded to scribe a letter. "Jynn, It seems you now know the truth, one I once speculated to be a possibility but was, too, revealed to me late. However, hold no grudges towards your mother for the secrets she carried. They were a burden few could carry besides herself, and her love for you was genuine. Your proposed meeting is accepted, and this time with added protection. Strong, trusted individuals should accompany us to guarantee our well-being, and I will pour every effort I can to find the killer of your mother, my estranged beloved. I will consult the human king with this meeting. Additional information will be written upon the calling card I will send with you. I trust you know how to use their method of two-way communication. Your trust is not misplaced. We will begin reparations, and we will find him. I believe Shiva would rest easy knowing that she has entrusted the kingdom to her son. --Your father" After giving a once-over to his letter, he breathed out a heavy sigh and pulled out his final set of blank calling cards, wrapping one within the paper. A wax stamp and a press of his signet ring was all that was left before he rolled the paper up and bundled it within the owl's letter pouch. "You have done well, little messenger," he cooed to the owl, scratching its neck on the way to the tent flaps. The bird leaned into the gesture affectionately. "I know not your name, but you have performed a great service to this family and this people. Fly true to your new master and see to the end of this carnage."
  10. The lotus is a great flower and is especially a good choice for Aura. As for a court painter, make sure Rabiyu keeps Aura clear from living paint and magical paintbrushes. The Overworld doesn't need any painted trolls a la The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'll see if I can get a bit of artwork laid out in the near future. =) It's nothing too tasteful, as I'm untrained and an amateur still feeling around the waters of artistry, but hopefully it is all right to showcase. This is a tough one for me, as there are a great many characters with whom I can empathise and sympathise. Foremost I love Ren's character, who is funnily enough another member of the three transgressors. I like Helios as well, who almost tied for first place, for his wide range of emotions and tough choices. Third place goes to Shiva who had a very rough leadership and always had her heart wrestle the crown on her head. Fourth place goes to, for the brief moments he even showed up, Swanson, the lovable half-wit who toted an axe even greater than Armads in Fire Emblem. The rest all tie for fifth place, great in their own bountiful ways, and yet I cannot seem to pick them out of the crowd well enough to call them my favourites of this RP. Ah, that makes sense. I was wondering what branch he ventured into, and I thank you for clarifying!

If that's the name, I definitely want to join this honorary club! I'll buy jackets for everyone involved, as long as the budget doesn't exceed a hundred US dollars.
  12. A fellow writer, eh? I can be the persistent nagger! What's your book about? I'd love to hear about it, whether here or via PM.
  13. Henry and Jack seem like they were good ol' brawling buddies, pairing up and taking down dozens of men at a time. I keep forgetting, but was Henry a member of the Black Knights, or was he an undesignated knight back in the days of yore? Very nice artwork, Elrandir! I keep getting desirous to pick up the pencil and charcoal again just looking at all of the good artwork on this site, especially from those here in this roleplay. I especially love the eye sheen and the decorative flower. I could never do that with manga artwork, but then again I am abysmal with manga artwork and lean more towards fractal line art. I hope she will display her artwork to some of her affiliates in the roleplay in the postbellum reformation.

I've been dead outside and full of life inside for the past five minutes now. If only I can join your guys' club. . . . Actually, what is your club name?
  15. Nice choices; I did the same. Faye will take you far, as well as my beloved Kliff. That abominable level made me go slow and steady with my approach, but if you have any shields they are good to have for the front-line units. You'll find some good loot in the hideout in the catacombs, if I remember right. If all else fails, experimentation and level-grinding helps. I got fed up with that chapter and took thirty minutes to level up before that.
  16. Those are tough ones. Do you have a mage in Alm's path? As for Celica, level-grind your mages a bit. Magic is worth a lot in this game, from my playthrough.
  17. - Nallan Asad - A creeping grin swept over Nallan's face as she stared at Sea during her tale, and she folded her arms in satisfaction of being right. The cult did have something to do with these three apprentices, and they revealed more than she likely could have found anywhere else. Withdrawing her smile and lowering her arms to her side, she stepped up to the plate again. "If it is this cult you all are after, you are in luck. I too am seeking it out, and am willing to lend my sword arm and skills to stopping these "Nobodies," as you call them. If they are desirous to raise an ancient menace, I will have no lack of enjoyment disturbing their rituals of revivification, whether or not they are able to do so. Will you accept me? Also, how do we find them?"
  18. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment - Raiden had to marvel how this spread of individuals were able to obtain all of this knowledge, but he could not argue with results, nor with their logic. Such incriminating hearsay and audible evidence made Yevgeni seem like a viable suspect, and he pursed his lips and stroked his chin in suspicion. However, would the man he once knew as Yevgeni have been able to mastermind all of this and not be weighted by the knowledge of creating and afterwards living with such traitorous actions? People change, and millennia would be a greater cause for change than centuries, decades, and years. "I can only peg Yevgeni as a suspicious individual, if that is the case," he admitted aloud to the crowd, eyeing every one of them with an unreadable expression on his face. "You have done well, all of you, and now we have a painted picture of the situation at hand, though I will not attempt to confirm my suspicions with the prince unless it is necessary. Voicing this will only put Yevgeni or Prince Jynn in harm's way before our suspicions are confirmed. I am certain the death of the queen has brought upon them both some unrest. "Henry," he next said, glancing in his direction, "if you have the ability to draw the assassin out, please do so and let me know of where he will meet with you, if you can. I wish to be present to deliver him justice." He bowed toward the group in the Mystran fashion, and smiled. "Thank you all again. Your insight has brought some light to the situation, and I would like to extend an invitation to Hisie and you too, Henry, alongside King Alderon should he agree with meeting the prince. Once I have accumulated my chosen few, we will send my return letter"--he indicated the owl perched on his arm--"and make our way to a moot with the prince and his chosen few. "Sifrei, I have a task for you, given your skills and familiarity with the situation. Should the grounds be unoccupied, find the shattered weapon in the clearing near Lake Kresnik, close to the shoreline and after the forest between it and our encampment. If occupied, report back to me the descriptions -- or names, if you can -- of those out there, but do not endanger yourself by conversing with them. "Does this work with everyone here?" he continued in finality, glancing over the others. - Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres encampment - Jari was thankful for Aqua's assistance in helping Elia to her feet, though he paused before he too spoke off colour. That armour bodyguard did indeed seem like he was insane, especially considering what the clone had said to him beforehand. He felt a little guilty now, having spoken to Maxis like that, but he spoke from the heart, and that was not worthy of feeling guilty over . . . right? Elia seemed like she was doing better, however, and quipped about that same day he thought back on where Aqua left in favour of that blond pretty boy, the one who was going to become regent of the land. Again he said nothing, holding back the desire to interject on either's behalf, and concentrating solely on maintaining Elia's weight distribution, along with his own seventy pounds of lean muscle, bone, and gristle.
  19. - Nallan Asad - Most of this was way over Nallan's head, though the symbol on Malcolm's necklace seemed remarkably familiar for whatever reason. Maybe it was a simple sense of déjà vu, or maybe it was more, but she did not question it as much as the information regarding Heartless Xehanort. She politely waited for a good moment to intermingle, and when she found it she upped her voice. "I have heard word about this beast before, its name whispered to children after they do something bad to keep them in line," Nallan cut in. All of these topics piqued her curiosity almost as much as the cult, and perhaps there was something uniting the two topics. She hoped this would be so. "It has been a long time since I have studied the topic, but the beast was defeated long ago, right?"
  20. That's an awesome idea. I once was on a forum that did a similar theme, with a reward of a special title to be bestowed upon the winner. The competition was fierce, and I foresee that if people here are interested this has great potential. In short, I would be interested!
  21. ((In times of stagnancy like this due to waiting on a player, the normal etiquette is to wait two or three days and move on to another character to interact with within the vicinity, though it is ultimately the choice of the original poster (IAKH1000) whether this can happen or not. I would do so, though I run the risk of double posting, as I was the last to write. If either of you, Axel or IAKH, would like to free this up, I would be happy to instigate some new conversation within the character roster.))
  22. Why, thank you! I had to glance back at your character sheet to find out that he was a lot more flagrant in his clothing of choice than the typical individual. =P I had forgotten that his mask was destroyed, so I'm very glad that I portrayed him rightly. Thanks, mate!
  23. - Lord Raiden, Mystran Encampment - A connection within the ranks? The killer's appearance, clothing or otherwise? This strange connection with Yevgeni Malachite, a name very familiar, though a personage he had not met since being graced by Alexander's court? All plausible ideas and sound advice and clues, though he wondered about the depth of their observations. Whether Henry's speculations were superficial or carried great weight, he did not know, but he might as well try to reiterate what he saw. He concentrated more on the news that Rabiyu had mentioned, especially concerning the stray group of humans she had mentioned. He snapped out of his unfocused gaze towards the entrance and turned toward her. "You mentioned this fellow Yevgeni hiring a group of humans in the Flowering Hyssop, a name I know all too well, but that just cannot be. All of those aboard the airship were accumulated and given residence at my villa. Counts were taken of the crew numerous times, and they equalled out every time, with the exception of one member who seemingly went rogue in the streets of Mystras. What made you certain they were human? And Yevgeni . . . I recognise that name, though the one I remember and the one I am hearing about do not match, and the person who killed Queen Shiva was definitely not him. The man I saw had ashen skin, a greyish purple, and opulent clothing of white fabric and gold trim. Once his Feyslayer was broken, he summoned forth a double-bladed weapon of ornate gold with gaudy amethyst to fight with." Raiden shook his head uncertainly and turned away, stroking his chin in meditation as he paced the open grounds of the tent. No matter what, he could not fully understand the situation without additional information. "No, this was not Yevgeni. He might have had the weapon stolen from my vault, but someone may have usurped the dagger from him in turn. I need more information to declare him a potential suspect. He is smarter than this. Yevgeni would not sic a flamboyant and distinguishable assassin on powerful individuals unless he was certain that he would kill both of us. He would be much more secretive and taciturn if he ever were to benefit from this, or at least that is what I would have thought of him if he remained the same over the many years since we last conversed." ((I left out the mask part because I was not sure if he had the mask on. There was nothing referencing it, as far as I remember, during Shiva's death scene. Also, I am assuming that Nergal was clothed in his usual raiment. Correct me if this is not the case, Kuni, s'il vous plait.)) - Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres encampment - Jari breathed out a sharp gust of an exhale, expecting the worst from the suit of armour, but definitely not what he considered a compliment and, later on, an assent. The foxchild stood there in shock, his weapon still upright and his little chest huffing and puffing as much air as he could inspire for a few seconds before raising himself proper and sheathing his dagger. "You?" he remarked, glancing over in Aqua's direction. It was the young girl that ignored him entirely earlier, but she came to Elia's and Jari's defense, it seemed. He emitted a fragile smile at the thought. "Thank you for coming to our aid. If not for you, I might be a meat pie right now. Please help our friend up along with me. I'm feeling a little . . . dizzy at the moment." His voice no longer held its whimper, and his ears perked up again, though he definitely seemed a little woozy. This little bout of courage he had felt good. No, it felt great, and he greatly desired to follow it up with another bout of courage later along the road. He struggled to keep himself from falling over as he tried to help Elia to her feet. Even if he seemed like he was normally proportioned, he harboured very little weight, considering his origins, and helping Elia up was difficult.
  24. "I would appreciate that," Nallan commented back to Sea, her curiosity piqued about the mentioning of these Keyswords. Though I might be more interested in information of the cult I am sniffing out, she internally continued, eyeing the other five around her. If any one of them was able to provide her with intrigue about the cult of Nobodies she heard about, sticking around thus far was by far a win. For now, she had to be patient and wait for the officer and the rest to complete their conversation. She did not dare disrupt the line of conversation thus far, as it too might lead to better information. Once or twice she glanced toward Land especially, and his unique weapon. The Light Blast sounded quite powerful if used in the right situation, especially if it knocked the boy Sky out. Perhaps she could get a sword like that sometime, whether by right of purchase . . . or by right of pillage, if she felt desirous enough for it.
  25. I'd be up for it, should I have time for roleplaying again! I loved the show since its debut, and I cannot say that to many shows out there.
