  1. I agree the prices are kind of ridiculous, but English players do have a bit of an advantage in that we can check the JP game's history to see what medals are eventually coming, so we can pick and choose what draw events we participate in more carefully. (I've been hoarding all my jewels in anticipation of the eventual BBS medals, for example.) I agree that we need the daily jewel missions, though.
  2. Done! I hope you get all the responses you need. (I've also seen the "toxic" label thrown around, and... no. Anyone who says the KH community is toxic has clearly never been in an actually toxic community. There are a lot of opinions in this fandom that I don't agree with, but rarely is anyone a jerk about it. We're definitely one of the more open and friendly groups out there. ^^ )
  3. Like I said, fight topics are my jam
  4. this is my kind of topic Dolan vs Gooby - idk man, we saw how Dolan jumped Yao without so much as blinking. He's originally a sailor so he's probably been in a few bar fights. I'm gonna say Dolan. Ansem SOD or Xemnas - These guys are both ripped, so it's hard to say, but we've seen that Xemnas is very proficient in fighting in close-quarters while Ansem relies mostly on his Guardian and magic. So Xemnas. Sora (KH2) vs Riku (KH2) - We've seen that Riku's willing to play dirty, and Sora's not the brawler type, so Riku. Terra vs Apprentice Xehanort - Xehanort's too busy being creepy and mysterious to know how to brawl. Terra. Ventus vs Roxas - oooh. hm. If you wanna get technical, wielding a sword backhand the way Ven does requires more forward arm movements and thrusts, and he does a lot of quick backstepping and other footwork in his fighting style; Roxas' movements are heavier and rely more on slashes. Long story short, I'd say Ven would adjust more quickly to throwing and dodging punches, so he would have the upper hand. Xion vs Kairi - I'm gonna say Xion, just because she has more battle experience. Old Xehanort vs Old Eraqus - Hm. Well, we've seen that Xehanort can crush steel with his bare hands, and can hold someone as big as Terra at bay with only one hand, sooo I'mma say Xehanort. Mickey vs Stitch - As talented as Mickey is, Stitch's super strength is no joke. Stitch.
  5. ^THIS. I think all of the lost wielders are going to end up participating in the final battle, and I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see any of them until pretty late in the game. As for Terra specifically... it makes no sense to me for him to be a Seeker of Darkness (it utterly contradicts his character development shown in Blank Points, and I think DDD gave very strong hints that he isn't) and I don't think Terranort could possibly exist at this point as a being (old man!Xehanort was reborn in DDD, after all). I would think that his heart is somewhere else and we just need to find it. BUT WE SHALL SEE.
  6. Well, regarding KH3, I don't think Terranort is even a being anymore at this point, but I do think Terra is seriously going to take some names. And agreed, it could be that his dormant rage building up for all those years was what caused that sudden spike in ability and brutality. Another thing I'm hoping KH3 will answer!
  7. I'd think they'd remake them, because otherwise they'd stick out like a sore thumb compared to the new graphics.
  8. ^This! I'm really fond of games that allow you to mix and match abilities rather than giving you a cut-and-dry list of moves (although I like those, too) and since KH3 is an RPG, it might focus more on the optional aspects of gameplay by letting you choose different styles according to your preferences (in addition to the already-present choices of spells, party members, accessories, etc). Even the attraction flow in DDD was optional for the most part, as were the D-Link system and Shotlocks in BBS, so KH3 could be similar.
  9. He also has some plants and an empty birdcage! I wonder what the story is behind some of this stuff.
  10. Ohhh I see now; it seems like it's a bit of both, your union ranking affects the prizes that your individual and party rankings earn. I think? lol. i.e. I would assume the top ten players in Vulpes this week would have earned better moogle medals than the top ten players in Anguis, for example. It's hard to tell until they stop suspending the rankings, though.
  11. The moogle medals aren't for your union ranking, I believe, but for your party ranking within your union. If I'm understanding the reward system correctly, there's no reward for union ranking besides bragging rights. And way to go, Leopardos! 8O I don't mind being fourth, I like chilling down there with the bears
  12. No problem! I usually keep it on hand. Since we didn't actually see Vanitas disappear into Ven (he just died and faded away like Ven did) or ever get any hint of confirmation of it, I hold out on the possibility that they didn't rejoin, partly for the reasons mentioned above. As for the Armored Ventus Nightmare, that was created because Ven's armor was submerged in Sora's darkness; we see clearly that Ven's heart escapes the darkness before that happens, which should mean it had no real tie to what happened to the armor. As for the quote, Nomura doesn't say that they were trying to pull out Sora's darkness, but rather have him fall to darkness via a loss of identity, as "In the story it also talks about how abandoning the self leads to losing the heart." Considering the mind games Xemnas and the others play with Sora all throughout 3D, it's clear they're trying to cripple his confidence in himself as well as stir Ven's consciousness in an attempt to break his self-perception, essentially, and trick him into falling into darkness. As for time travel... I won't get into that long debate, but 3D heavily implied that there won't be anymore of it, that all the Seekers of Darkness are actually their present-day selves (who were influenced into appearing in KH3 because of the time travel shenanigans in DDD), meaning all of them are actually alive at the present time. But that's yet another question KH3 will have to answer.
  13. Ah, this quote, you mean? — Why did Xehanort and co. word things as if to try and wake Ventus who is inside Sora? Nomura: They did so in order to tempt Sora’s heart and have it fall to the darkness. In the story it also talks about how abandoning the self leads to losing the heart. When you see Vanitas (the dark half of Ventus who appeared in KHBBS) overlay Young Xehanort for a moment, that represents Ventus’ heart reacting inside Sora. I take it as inferring that Vanitas is with Xehanort, and Xehanort used him to stir Ven's heart in Sora (implying that Ven and Vanitas are in two different places) to speed up Sora's loss of identity (and thus fall into darkness), but the rough translation does make it hard to say for sure. Not to mention Riku didn't see Vanitas when he dove into Sora's heart and saw everyone else, and Namine didn't mention him when she told data!Sora and Mickey about those locked in Sora's heart (and. having a darkness-oriented psychopath inside you is definitely deserving of a heads-up, rofl).
  14. I'm one of a handful who don't believe Vanitas actually rejoined with Ven at the end of BBS (largely since we've seen that he's not inside Sora), so I think there's definitely room for him to return (I'm also a fan of the chessboard theory, and considering Xehanort was gathering vessels as early on as BBS, i.e. Braig, it's very possible he saw Vanitas as an opportunity and took it right away). Plus DDD seemed to imply that Xehanort does have Vanitas with him already (possibly outside of the time travel shenanigans). That aside, I do have a love-hate relationship with his bossfights so I wouldn't mind having him kick my butt one last time.
  15. ^this, except it's when people say "they've been working on it for ten years!!" that really gets me
  16. "should of" =/= "should have" "could care less" =/= "couldn't care less" those are my big ones. drives me nuts.
  17. The "after April 2017" thing is just the result of several news sites taking Square's report on the 2017 fiscal year and turning it into "OH KH3 AND FFVII REMAKE AREN'T RELEASING UNTIL AFTER THEN" despite that this was already pretty obvious. So yeah, I'm confident it's true we're not getting it before then, but this isn't pointing to a 2017 release, either.
  18. I wouldn't be worried. As has been said, Square will likely just shuffle into Sony's conference. I also doubt they'd drop the ball so badly as to completely leave out KH3 after the huge trailer they gave us last year (and I'm still convinced that at least some of the VAs who've been "working on KH3" were really working on trailers); and this is their last big chance to show off KH2.8 at a non-Japanese event, so it wouldn't make any sense for that to be left out, either.
  19. ....I'm not even much of an Isa fan tbh but that hurt
  20. I'm gonna have to go with Vanitas, both story-wise and superboss. He's one of those bosses that I can't just wail on with a pattern until he's dead; it probably sounds crazy but I swear the AI always seems to adapt to my fighting style to make my life difficult. I once maxed out my level to 99 on Proud and went to trash him in his final fight just for lulz -- yeah, no. He's tricky even then. He's always a challenge, in short, plus I just really love those fast, frenetic, down-and-dirty types of battles, which his always are. Plus the fact that the superboss' difficulty increases with your level is pretty cool. Annoying, but cool. And his final string of boss fights on level 1? It gets so personal.
  21. omg I opened this page in a new tab and left it and while I was looking at other tabs tHAT VIDEO STARTED PLAYING I WAS SO CONFUSED ABOUT WHERE THE LAUGHTER WAS COMING FROM MOSTLY STARTLED BUT ALSO CONFUSED A+ thanks for that scare
  22. MY PAIN IS AN 11, MY FRIEND okay but seriously, I love parallels so I must applaud your discovering this one (as well as your Zelda reference). And that's a good thought, her Keyblade may well be part of the puzzle needed to find/retrieve her; which is more interesting when you consider that Terra also lost his Keyblade, as it's currently with his armor in the Graveyard. Maybe this is a common necessity for saving both of them? (And consider that both Terra's and Ven's Keyblades were able to enter the Realm of Darkness to protect Aqua, so there might indeed be a power in their Keyblades that could help locate one another...) Either way, interesting thoughts!
