It's like comparing Disney's Naruto dub to the uncut Viz one. Disney's was absolutely horrible, while Viz's is fantastic. Same voices, but the dialogue was dumbed down for the Disney version.

Personally I never thought Egoraptor's stuff was funny except for a select few of his animations (mainly Sequelitis). To me he seems much better at improv than in scripted stuff, so I much prefer him doing Game Grumps rather than his animations.
