    I used to have this huge complex or I guess desire to be remembered by the world through my merits in a positive light and I'm not gonna lie, I still kind of do. But I guess what's different now is, it's less about being remembered and more about leaving a lasting impact in other people's lives. If I can help one or some people and they end up living positive lives, in turn helping others, then that's firetrucking awesome!

    when you're severely depressed and want to die but can't vent on any social media because your girlfriend follows you on all your accounts and you have to pretend you feel ok so she doesn't worry and you have nowhere else to vent

    If she cares about you, then tell her about what is going on because she could help. People with depression that don't get help could lead themselves to something very bad. You can't lie to her and say you're okay when you aren't. IN a relationship, your other is your best friend you can rely on to be there. It's no one way street.

    I know she'd help me, she'd do anything she could and give me all her best efforts to help me, but she's so stressed and going through so much stuff and has depression herself, and I just don't want her to have to worry about me at the same time

    She'll only be more stressed if she finds out later on. If you're both depressed, look to close family members or friends for help and in each other. Maybe knowing you're also depressed could comfort her. Just remember (although it's probably annoying to hear), there are people who care for you and death should never be the answer. Depression is hard and often uncontrollable, and although you may feel like a burden to unload your problems on someone else, it's easier to go...
