@Otti#8624 I think it has something to do with Lingering Will being around still. Those were all emotions and thoughts that belonged to Terra so that combined with the possibility that Terra's entire heart was stuck with the Guardian probably had some kind of effect on it.

my theory is that when Terranort destoryed the Lingering will he actually released terras heart from it and it hid itself inside of the guardian

or maybe he released terras ability to resist which is why the guardian had the strength to retaliate

I think it's just that Lingering Will was half of a whole and after being destroyed it returned to him entirely which is why he was able to build up enough resistance to fight back as the Guardian.
