I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

I graduated in 2007, close enough😂 still in my emo phase

Brilliant argument Phoenix Wright. Well done indeed. Case closed.

Yeah dude, blast all the emo oldie goldies

Linkin Park, AFI, Attack Attack, Avenged Sevenfold FEAR FACTORY.

ok that last one isn't emo at all lol

Linkin Park and AFI still go hard today.

Miss Murder and Somewhere I Belong still hit hard for me till this day

Decemberunderground and Meteora are both great albums in general.

I was on the Metalcore side of things; Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Bullet for Mt Valentine kinda stuff.

Plus a shit ton of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson lol

I didn't get into heavier stuff personally until around sophomore year, when I got more into black metal and melodeath and stuff like that.

Damn, y'all actually listened to full albums instead of just picking individual songs regardless of artist because "ooh, I like this one"?

I have a massive collection of them back down in Arizona.

firetruck yeah dude lol

I can pick the songs after I know what they sound like

I couldn't bring them with me when I moved up here, unfortunately.

I rarely listen to full albums, it's most likely why I can barely remember artist names as I just listen to one of their songs and move on

i listen to full albums of my favorite artists when they release and sometimes go back to older albums of other artists if I start to enjoy their individual songs that i find in the wild

That shit is the best

i also find it fun to listen to a full album and try to pick out like, "oh yeah this one would definitely be the fan favorite i think" or in cases of bigger artists, try to figure out which one will end up on the radio and/or try to figure out which one was made specifically with radio play in mind

like sometimes you'll go through an album and you hit a song that just feels entirely different and you already know that's the one they want to push for radio

lmao

I’ve become pretty good at that, picking out the songs that were definitely made with radio play or media incorporation in mind.

I usually listen to a full album once or twice but usually end up listening to a couple of songs from that album consistently

Same

I’ll go back to listen to an album to listen through it again, and just end up looping specific songs over and over

i like listening to the full album when they end up flowing into each other seamlessly but otherwise if my library is on random, there are some songs i do skip from them bc they aren't as strong alone lol

albums that have a separate Intro track that flows directly into the first song are my drug

hypes me up way too much

I love when songs link into each other

Makes a project feel so much more cohesive

the best ones are the ones that you wouldn't have even known flowed into another song or had another song flow into it without a full album listen

like damn how'd u do dat
