That's because that is the original Japanese version, their graphics for the game were very poor compared to ours.

'' Your body will disappear''..? Never heard that in kh1 D:

Nice find. It's completely different!

Is it me, or are their lips fatter?

At first I thought it was funny seeing the little changes they made ofr the final version, but near the end it's almost like a completely different game!

You're wrong, what does the graphics have to do with this trailer?

Anyway, that beta trailer was made while Square-Enix was still developing the game. The cutscenes, some of the gameplay, and the looks were scrapped and changed. Like Disney Castle, that was origionally supposed to be in KH1, but that got removed from the game.

wtf sora ran at riku with the keyblade looks like he gonna kill him O-o

Honestly, though I do appreciate the find, I have to say that these characters are so much more ugly than those we know and love

*Shrugs Shoulders* He said below that everything looked different, I just thought it had to do with the graphics.

lol kairi is so ugly she looks like a dude...

Gosh, how long has Sora had to open the door! Its been like 10 years (since this trailer came out).

Oh, boy! Sora, Riku, and Kairi's eyes! Disney Castle?! Donald and Goofy's outfits! And that logo looks CREEPY! Not to mention the date: Winter 2001? As Xigbar would say, "As if!"

Vintage stuff like this is... pretty weird. Thank goodness for the changes they made... especially with the logo. I'll never get that out of my head! >_<

Am I the only one who thinks that the faces on the characters kinda look like Zidane's in FFIX?

I love this trailer, the story looked so much different to the original, yet very interesting. You all have to remember that this was a beta, the facial models on the characters would've probably turned out alot nicer in the final product were it to have turned out like this before the concept and story changed a fair bit.

I also find it interesting to note that when Sora's versing the darkside in that video he performs what looks like a reaction command, wonder if they got scrapped from the original?

All lot has changed. It even looked like you could play as Donald and Goofy.

It's not called Beta trailer. It's called Square Preview.

Sora's face looks like a dried up tortilla. Yuck! The only thing I liked was Riku on the Big Ben. Twas kick arse. Otherwise that was nightmarish.

What do graphics have to do with the trailer? That's all a trailer is. And the graphics are much worse, considering this was early in development. Particularly Riku. Though some stuff I honestly think looks a bit better.

Also, pay attention to the heartless in the fights, most of the time they're flying at Sora in their standing pose P

Yeah, I will admit, there is some stuff that actually was kinda cool in that. I liked how Olympus was given weird texture rather than the ground being one basic color. And it was cool how Riku was up on the Big Bend as well as the scene with Riku and Sora on the remains of Destiny Islands.

Their faces look brighter or shaped differently o.o

That doesn't matter, the game was in beta stages at this time, and that trailer demonstrated what it looked like back then, so it's deserving of the title.

I actually think that the whole "Sora is going to dissappear and stuff" concept sounds more interesting than the finished product. .w.

Plus, Riku looked pretty BA on top of that clock tower. /shot
