Hello guys. I've sent this first part of the story to some members here, and they liked it a lot. So, I thought it'd be better to share it with everyone. Hope you like it

 

 

 

A Frightful Prevision

 

At a night, of May 29th of the year 2049, to be exact, something strange happened. But, before discovering what occurred, it’s better to know what had been happening in some time before that day. In the next lines, you will be able to read and put your imagination to work -- or at least give it a try -- in order to understand everything that this story has to tell.

 

-> March 11th <-

 

Today was an excellent day. Why? Because I got a promotion, and the rumors of some kind of “threat” coming to earth have been almost completely destroyed.. But, there are still some people who believe that we may be in risk of facing the last days of our lives -- of the humanity.

 

There were already many people who predicted a lot of things like that, but in the end, we are still here and alive, after all. Yet again, it’s still too early to say that this prediction is completely impossible to happen... Even I, who was instructed to calm the people, and tell them not to panic, still have doubts if this is really only a false rumor, or if it’ll really happen... But I pray that it doesn’t happen.

 

However, you might be interested in knowing what that prevision has to say.. But I think it’s still to early for me to tell it.. After all, what IS supposed to happen is only in some months, so I’ll tell about it in the near future. At least I managed to accomplish my duty; the people seems to be more calm now. We just need to carry on with our normal lives, that’s it. No need to worry.

It has already passed some days since I last wrote in this diary. I can’t believe I am really enjoying this -- although it was an idea of my own daughter. But, returning to the main subject, there are more and more people supporting that prediction.. My duty has become very hard, even though people do respect me. When I’m not around, many of them begin to talk about it. I have been busy during this time I was off.. Me and the other politics -- we need to make sure that the people are not attracted by that idea -- but what if, we ourselves are?

 

I am not saying I believe in it, but I can’t tell the contrary as well.. Something just tells me this is not really wrong at all. But, who knows? It might be only my imagination. Maybe I’m just getting old. With almost fifty years, it’s hard to face what I face everyday. Well, let’s stop talking about my personal life... My main goal with this is to find out more about the rumors...

 

So, as I’ve said before, many people continue to fight for these ideas... And look, we haven’t fought since 1927... And, with our own people.. Where will this world end? Can’t people have different opinions without respecting the others? Maybe this is really the end of this race -- which was once a pure and good race, in which people treated the others well, and not only worried about their interests, the money -- its name? Humanity.

 

But, if we think properly, this wouldn’t be a bad end at all.. You might be calling me a crazy or something like that, but see: We’ve killed thousands of animals, and don’t come with the argument: “we need to eat”, because in those thousands, many were only killed because men have their own interests.. They want to make new things, and don’t care with what or who they have to cross down to achieve their goals. With time, the humans have been more and more selfish.

 

I remember.. In thirty years ago, we weren’t so bad as we are today. We had water, but what have we done with it? We spent it without caring about the consequences.. And who is going to pay for that? We. It can be sooner or later, but we will end paying for what we’ve done. Nowadays, it’s very rare to find the old and good water. With the new technology, and since we don’t have the food we used to, we have to eat some strange things made by these scientists.. But I can’t badmouth them, can I? Because, if it weren’t for them, we might have met our end sooner.. In 2040, 91.56% of the entire rain forests of the world were completely destroyed, and with it, many species of animals, our natural resources... But I ask: Is this really good enough? We have to get rid of the forests to get more technology? Really?

 

My answer to this question is this : No, we shouldn’t have done that. But who am I to say this to the entire humanity? I would end up being killed by the owners of the factories and others.. But, while our great technology doesn’t build a Time Machine, we have to hang on. Do you know how we live today? Thanks to the Factories and their gases that have destroyed our Ozone Layer, we were forced to build new houses.. Ones with Oxygen. Why? Because it’s very rare to find some nowadays. The rays of the sun have turned the temperature to 58.5Cº, which makes it almost impossible to hold on that temperature for more than twenty minutes.

 

Ahhh.. If only I could go back to 2012 or 2014, when our world was so amazingly good to live.. But I can’t blame it, because it was our fault -- we were the ones who didn’t listen to what was right in front of us -- The terrible future we were creating. Those amazing campaigns for the reforestation.. Nowadays, it doesn’t exist anymore. The Humanity is too busy to think about protecting the less than 10% we still have.

 

Oh.. It’s late. 11:59p.m. I need to go sleep now. Might come back and write more in this diary in a week or so. Who knows? Maybe more and more people will continue to support that prevision. Bye for now.

 

->April 12th <-

 

I guess I haven’t had much time to write here. More than one week, eh? But don’t worry, I have a good reason for that. Nowadays, our population is around 5,000,000,000 of people. Why am I informing this, you ask? Because between this incredibly big number, 1,000,000,000 of people have just began to support the prevision! My duty has become more and more difficult with time. So, I have to spend most of the time doing it. I’m getting tired of it.

 

Besides that, do you know what’s the worst? The day of the prevision is coming. It’s in a bit more than one month. As time passes, I’m getting more and more frightened. I know nothing will happen, but still... What if this time, the prevision is right? Well, you might be curious to know what the prevision says. However, I’m afraid I don’t have a proper definition , since it’s strange, because there are subgroups. Some say that it foresees the end of the World, others say that it’s the end of our Planet, that the world is going to be rebuilt, that some other species are going to invade the Earth... That’s why it’s so hard to block its advance, since it has many currents.

 

Although the politicians don’t seem to believe in that, I’ve been told that they’re making some new vehicles, which are capable of flying without oil, and that can use its lasers to destroy anything. What they do not know is that, even I am building a new escape route, for myself and my family. But I can’t talk about it now. However, I am praying that I don’t need to eventually use it in the future.

 

Wait! What? My friends -- the other politics responsible for maintaining the peace between the people -- have just warned me that the leader of the prevision has been spotted! I’m sorry, but I need to go right now. If we kill him, we may have a chance to stop the rumors right from the source! I’ll try to report the results of the battle as soon as possible. I’ve decided not to tell more about it for you guys, at least not now, let’s leave it for later. So, as I was speaking, I got more and more fascinated with Religion, and decided to make it a big part of my life. I’ll just explain one of the many principles that my Religion follows.

 

One of the main principles of my Olthism, is that everyone who follows it has to believe in a transcendent, something way bigger than us... And, in the book I made, which name is Yukli, I’ve described how this “Transcendent” is, at least in my way of seeing. I will more about it in the following paragraphs.

 

Just by thinking in the word “Transcendent”, you can think about something that is better, or at least, more important that us. And that’s right, according to the dictionary. But, what if the Transcendent IS someone or something bigger than us, but not necessarily considers himself/itself that? What if he sees us as his sons and daughters, and not pawns he can just play with?

 

To that question, my answer is : Yes, in my way of thinking, he does not see us as things he has to play, but as his creation, something he created, and admire, with some exceptions, like these who destroy nature, bring more pollution to this world, and all of that stuff. So, according to that, I wrote a principle, and it is the 1st one that is written in my book.

 

“You may believe in a God, a transcendent, but you do not have to think that you’re nothing compared to him, because we’re his sons and daughters. So, which dad would consider himself way better than his sons? No one. Fathers only expect their sons and daughters to be better and better. They have expectations for them.” This was written by me, but in the book, it’s written in a better and simpler way. But, my point is, we need to live up to his expectations, because if not, why were we created? Just to destroy nature and make technology? No. We have to aim in something greater, that at the same time, is good for everyone, is good for the Earth, our beloved planet.

 

If you’re atheist or something like that, sorry for that part. You won’t hear more about it for some time now. So, now you know a lot about me, and I think it’s time to begin to talk about the Present. I’ll organize this diary according to the Dates that something incredibly important happened.

 

Unknown Date

 

I’m sorry for the Date, but it’s just that I can’t remember this. Actually, I am not even sure if this really happened or not, but it’s so important for me, that I think I need to share it with you. I had a dream -- well not sure if it was a dream or a vision, but anyway -- and, in it, I had a conversation with someone. The screen was entirely black, and then I began to ask some questions.

 

“Who are you?”, I asked. “I’m the one who created everything.”, the creature replied. “Created... everything?”, I asked one more question, feeling strange inside, like I already knew this creature. “Yes, the Earth, the world.. Even the humankind.”, he replied. “So... You are the Transcendent ?”, I asked. “Some call me that, some call me God, and some people don’t even believe I exist...”, he replied. “But I don’t understand... Why are you talking to me?”, I asked. “Because you were the one courageous enough to create new theories about me, and everything else in this world... You also instructed people to believe me, and see, your Religion keeps getting more and more followers.”, he replied. “Okay... Thanks for the compliments, but surely, you have some purpose if you’re really talking to me now, don’t you?”, I asked. “Yes, I need to tell.....”.

 

Oh sorry! It’s too late, I have to sleep. One of the other principles of my religion is that we have to sleep at least 7 hours per day. See you as soon as I write here again, and sorry one more time!

February 27th

 

Hello again. It’s been a while since I last wrote here. Some things have happened since that day. But, first, I think you’d be more interested in hearing the rest of my dream -- which I’m not really sure if it was a dream or a vision -- now, wouldn’t you? Then, let me continue from where I left.

 

Like I said in my last text, I was talking to what I believe it was our God, our transcendent, and then I asked what was the reason for why he was talking to me directly. And, just by hearing his answer, I felt really strange.

 

“Yes, I need to tell you about something that the other humans -- the ones who are selfish, self-centered and don’t care for anything except for themselves -- they are slowly creating the end of their specie, the Humankind. You saw the world twenty years ago, and you see it today. Being as intelligent as you are, I think you know what I’m talking about.”, he replied. “The humans... They’re destroying the nature... or better, they’re destroying your creation, the World!”, I said. “Indeed, my friend. And the last day of most of the Humanity is drawing near... Soon, a lot of people won’t be on Earth...”, he said. “Yeah... But I still did not get it, where do you want to go by talking about this now?”, I asked. “Of all people, I’ve chosen you to tell this... And so, here it goes : I need a person, brave enough to tell about this to the other humans. It’s essential that they all know that. When talking about that, I want you to say “It’s a Frightful Prevision, that may very soon become real.”, he said. “I don’t have words to thank you for choosing me... But as you, yourself said, there are many humans who don’t care about anything... So, what should I do with them? They surely won’t listen to what I have to say”, I said, a little worried. “Yes, yes... Those who ignore what you have to say will feel the wrath of the Heavens.”, he said, with a very confident tone. “Fine, but a lot of people have already created false previsions, and most of them ended up being killed by these selfish people... Will I have this same fate?”, I asked. “No... In fact, I was about to talk about this now. To confront the Money, I’ll give you many powers that no human has ever dreamed of. With time, I’ll make new contacts with you. Be sure to hang out safely from now on.”, he said, before disappearing. However, one moment before that happened, I saw two beautiful and big green eyes, and that made me wonder if God’s eyes were green.

 

So, now you know everything about my conversation with this magnificent and great being. Then, as I was requested, I began to spread rumors of that Frightful Prevision around my own Religion, and those who follow it, began to be afraid. But, I told them to be brave, because if they cooperate with our world, no harm will happen to them. Now, the seeds of the Salvation of the Humanity were set. I just had to wait for the reaction of the enemy.

 

Before going, I have two things to say. First, I want to tell that I am really curious to know what powers will I gain, and second, I want to ask you guys, who are currently reading this : Think a bit about our planet. Don’t be so selfish, and our future will be brighter and safer. Thank you, and hope to see you again!
