Well time for a newbie like me to throw gasoline on this roast.

I'm a conservative person that DOESNT want war or sanctions on Iran like many Hawkish Republicains.

I think that feminism jumped the Shark in 2014 with its SJW agenda, shaming tactics, bogus or biased research and findings, as well as the more radicals causing controversy after controversy. In addition to some believing that Misandry doesn't exist.

I find certain athiesis to be hypocrites by become just as dogmatic and provoking as the same religions or religious people they claim to debunk or challenge.

(pop music category)

Despite disliking a few songs by him, I don't think Jason Derülo is a talentless hack.

I like Ariana Grande. She is much better singer then here Disney counterparts ( Miley, Selena , Demi). I have yet to here a genuinely bad song by here. It's NOT creepy to find her *ahem* attraticve. " She look like she 14!" She actually 21.

Katey Perry got my dislike for the release of terrible song this year and last year. "Roar" and "Dark Horse" are worse version of two earlier songs "ET" and "Fireworks". " This Is How We Do". Is by far her worst song with the lack of effort and stupid messages. He somewhat plastic personality with here general tastelessness in here songs ( even in the ones I like) finally got to me.

After remaining natural on the GamerGate movement, the research I did on it and presented it to my colleagues at college turned me to support their cause.

I personally get a disgusted look in my face every time I see threads on "I think KH 3 will be released x time" without a good reason. Eh scratch that, just in general when I see a thread created on it. Its not like it hasn't been asked dozens of times. >_>

I think we spend far too much time thinking about how we're different and not enough time thinking about how we're all the same.

Although, the differences we do find in each other isn't something to be ashamed of, but to be proud of. It makes us unique in our own right. We shouldn't exclude each other for what we aren't, we should include everyone for what we are, humans. Each human is different, but we're alike because we're different. If that makes any sense.

Unfortunately, it seems the world generally uses those differences to shame and divide each other. I completely agree with what you're saying, but I think we would be better off it the stuff that was the same was the focus. Then again, that could just open up a whole new can of problems. :/

In spite of how much I didn't care for Frozen, I still find that I enjoy "Let it Go," no matter how many times I hear it. Fair is fair: a good song is a good song, be it overplayed or not.

An extremely unpopular opinion coming right up xD

I think that the Harry Potter movies would be so much better with FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood's OST, especially from Order of the Phoenix to The Deathly Hallows.

THERE, I SAID IT

What's really depressing is all the hypocritical social justice warriors who claim they're being attacked, and then go around doxxing people and then harassing them and their workplace until they lose their jobs because someone dare criticize them (go check what happened to Plebcomics). And they celebrate it. That's their brand of justice: revenge. They don't want equality, they want to get even. I know that's not what all of Tumblr is like -- actually a lot of Tumblr is pissed at how the social justice warriors' antics gives the whole site a bad name -- but I still refuse to be a part of a community where I need to walk on eggshells so I don't set off someone unrelated and derail the entire post. They make mountains out of molehills and think turning themselves into defensive victims is empowerment. I know they can go through some pretty awful shit, but they think it's them against the world, because they make it that way.

And yes, Melody Hensley is pretty much the internet's poster girl for bullshit triggers. I'd have more sympathy for people going through online harassment, if they didn't compare that harassment to shooting/getting shot on a battle field. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/trigger

I didnt know who that was. So I looked it up.

She's a total lolcow. I mean, I feel sorry for her in a way because I don't support harassment, but good grief, with this mindset of hers, I can understand why she was systematically targeted. I'll bet it wasn't because she's an atheist or feminist. It was because her personality makes her too easy to mock, and the feminism and atheism are popular targets to begin with. Really, anyone who can earnestly compare her online bullying to the horrors of war probably isn't someone well-equipped with good shiz. (I have no idea what "good shiz" is but it sounds insightful.)

I dont like final fantasy in general. i honestly think the entire series is overhyped and why, i have no clue.

ff9 was the only one that remotely interested me, all because the main character wasnt a douchebag, the female lead wasnt completely useless, and i liked the monkey tails/weird animal races.

i only know about ff7 because, of course, everyone does. i never found it interesting, i played a little bit here and there, i did like advent children but...i dont find it in any way unique or cool or anything.

like idk theyre all really predictable and cliche and there is loterally no "wow" factor for me, everyone is too melodramatic and emo and if theyre not, then theyre the typical hyperactive annoying generic loli character who wont sitstill for two seconds.

ive heard a little bit about other games in the series but the only good things about the series is the music and the character design. but pretty looks arent enough to make a game, when their personalities are all more one dimensional than my chest.

So, i dont like final fantasy in general. ive been thinking about playing the MMO one because ife seen nice screenshots of it on tumblr. also, I DO love the side games (Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles series, its like my favourite) but everything final fantasy 1-however many firetrucking numbers they have now, just looks really boring to me. :/ i dont get why theyre all praised as much as they are, beause, story wise...theyre mostly shit.

music and character design? A+, though.

Frozen is actually decent for a watch or two, but the marketing hasdestroyed it, and three annoying songs versus two good ones wrecks the re-watch value, but in its basic story, it's watchable. The fans, however, take it too far.

What about the gameplay? That's one thing that makes a FF game good.

I've only actually finished FF-10, FF13, and LR:FF13.

FF-10 is the best IMO, you should try it out. The characters are much better.

FF13 I really like despite its criticism. I don't know, I just like the characters, gameplay and such.

LR:FF13 was really really good in terms of gameplay. It was extremely fun. The story is alright or okay.

Fairly Oddparents is one of the worst shows I have ever seen.

I like Dynasty Warriors.

The main reason I got into Kingdom Hearts is the gameplay, specifically 2's.

Super Smash Bros Brawl and Wii U are far superior to Melee.

I prefer the newer Sonic games over the older ones (sans Sonic Boom).

22 Jump Street is a funny movie.

I love anime.

Have you heard much about the pre-VII FF games? VII is pretty much when the series was completely changed and became the emo-or-whiny protagonist/fanservice-filled series it's become these days (Although VII was still good and didn't resort to that too often, unlike everything that followed aside from IX). The older games, especially the SNES games, are really different from that. Heck, V even has a protagonist that rivals Zidane in terms of how happy and energetic he was. In terms of useless female protagonists, two of VI's three (Or more depending on point of view, I've always considered there to be three leads) leading protagonists are cool, powerful women. IV had great protagonists, too.

Okay to go with Draco's post, what kind of game stories do you like? Or if you can't answer that, name some JRPG games you like.

Each FF is different, so maybe me and some others can help you try some FF game out if you want?

Once, there was a guy who was wearing a kingdom hearts' shirt and I said I liked it. Then this girl behind was like "You like him." When has liking someone's shirt be a form of physical attraction?

Take this from someone who has played multiple FF games and enjoyed them: I do not know where you're forming some of those observations. Like, this isn't even a counter to your opinion; I legitimately don't know what you mean. The way you worded it implies you haven't really played most of them for an extended period of time. Well, here's an insider's perspective on the whole thing.

I'll answer the "Why is this thing so popular?" question with the response I give to any story accused of being too popular for its own good: because enough people liked it. It's circular reasoning, but that's really what it is. There are a lot of things I don't get that are really popular. Instead of questioning whether it deserves its popularity, I just say, oh so it's a popular thing, how nice it brings joy to so many people. Really, anything that gets popular will have people accusing it of being overhyped. Why do so many people like Kingdom Hearts? I dunno. That's really how it works, unfortunately. Story-wise mostly shit? Fair enough. Enough people just happen to disagree. I love the stories. Does that mean I have shitty taste?

I understand if something doesn't interest you. Lots of otherwise good games don't interest me for one reason or another. But each Final Fantasy is a different game, so unless you don't like turn-based RPGs or world-saving heroics, I don't get why the franchise as a whole wouldn't interest you. They're all individual games that happen to share the same name and similar gameplay conventions. There's a reason so much in-house fighting exists in the fanbase. No one likes each game the same. In fact, many others love one and hate another. They all bring something different to the plate, and the cool thing about having so many titles is that you get your pick.

Honestly, the criticism of emo and melodrama is a pet peeve of mine. imo it's not much more emo or melodramatic than Kingdom Hearts. I haven't played any FF past X-2, but the only protagonist I can consider a legitimate douche is Squall -- and his development pretty much revolves around not being a douche, so go figure. No, Cloud does not spend his time eternally whining about Aeris; there are more female leads who aren't useless than there are; and there are maybe five loli characters at the top of my head, FRANCHISE-WISE, and maybe two of them are anything resembling hyperactive. Are you talking about the later games? Some of those accusations might be there, but I wouldn't know.

The lack of "wow" factor could partially be a case of the games being dated. The games definitely did wow enough people to make it as popular as it is. I was wowed. So were many others. It pioneered a lot of conventions, but a lot of time has passed since then. Comparing, say, FFVII to other games that's come out in the past decade, and yeah, of course it hasn't done anything new to wow anyone -- it's been done to death by now. I can't say anything about the later games post-X-2, but I don't see what's so cliche about it. Maybe I'm just too used to it to notice, or care.

Again, this is not necessarily a counter to an opinion. I've played enough games in enough detail to truly not understand where you're forming some of those accusations. As another poster mentioned, at least give some of the older FFs a whirl -- the post-VII games is where the fanbase gets split. If you like IX, at least give VI a shot. Maybe it's cliche by today's standards, but cliche isn't inherently bad to me, and in a lot of ways it can still stand on its own feet even today. (Well, technically I can say that about a lot of FFs, but you're coming into the franchise already having an unfavorable [and in my eyes, unfounded] opinion.)

Meh, I still don't like the series in general. Honestly it just isn't for me.

Do not put any kind of strong booze on your coffee xD

EVERYTHING IS SPINNING RIGHT NOW

Lonely people shouldn't be judged so bad.

Lonely people shouldn't be judged so bad.

Most of the time the people that judge them harshly shouldn't even be considered a relevant part of their life.  Which is probably rarely the case, but that's what I think for what it's worth.

Once, there was a guy who was wearing a kingdom hearts' shirt and I said I liked it. Then this girl behind was like "You like him." When has liking someone's shirt be a form of physical attraction?

Usually whoever says that is just teasing you.

Haters of Frozen have become far, far more annoying than the fanboys/girls ever were to me. Though, I really wish both sides would just shut up. It was a cute children's movie that happened to get really popular. It wasn't the best movie ever, not even the best Disney movie. But it also wasn't objectively horrible. What is horrible are the people who don't stop talking about Frozen and the people who feel the need to comment that they hate the movie every time it's mentioned.

EDIT: And I don't care if it is overrated, "Let it Go" is a good song. So is "For the First Time in Forever", but I've never seen hate for that one.
