Is it so hard to use grammar and capital letters?

Featured Replies

i only use proper grammar when im in a professional or formal setting, but if its online on forums or tlking with friends i dont bother because its pointless in a casual convo http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png

It is required that you use grammar to the best of your ability in all forums except for Random and Forum Games.

I always use proper grammar and capitals.

It looks nicer.

I usually use the grammar and capital letters

That's good to hear.

That's good to hear.

I'm a sixth grader and I manage to do better than people who are older than me. That's just really sad now.

I always write with the correct grammar and captial letters but for the hell of it...

lolol whats yo problem dood? u mad bro?

I tend to use correct Grammar and spelling, mainly to show how sort of mature I am, even if it makes my senteces much longer.

So many people don't use grammar and/or capital letters. Seriously, it's not hard!

i dont use grammar and or capital letters because im lazy

That looks like crap!

I use grammar and capital letters because I'm supposed to and because my writing looks sexier.

Much better!

if everyone's writing got as sexy as yours .. I don't think i'd be able to handle this site

lol idk wat ur talkin bout brah grammer and capitAl lettrs sux we shud all use abbreviations and bad grammer all ze time.

But in all seriousness, yeah, it isn't THAT hard to use grammar and capital letters.

I don't know what that says. There's another thing: everyone expects everyone else to understand their gibberish.

I always try to type the best I can, but the occassional typo slips through. And if I don't know how to spell a word, there's a search bar at the top of the screen! I just start typing it in and the drop-down menu shows me the word!

There are no excuses!

I always type to the best of my ability. It's all about good practice. When you do something a certain amount of times, it becomes a habit. And I very much prefer having good spelling and grammer come easily (as it's needed in everyday life) then have to struggle with it.

And -Ventus- (I think that's your name), I actually agree with most of what you said. Another mistake that bothers me is the most common mistake on fanfiction: "breathe" and "breath". Those are always misused. It should be, "She couldn't breathe with the water crushing her lungs", or "Take a deep breath and calm down."

At least with those, people aren't purposefully confusing them. That's something at least...

im sorry for my bad grammar XDXDXDXD

i alternate between typing like this

Or like this.

It depends if I'm in the mood or not.

If anything though, I'll forget a few apostrophes or commas.

I always try to use good grammar, even though for me it's not that needed, since in my everyday I use portuguese.

But I feel nice when I see that I have not done any mistakes. I prefer a good grammar like this "Your life is good" than "You're life is good" I don't get why people "like" to change your to you're.

And like Ansem said, when I'm not sure how to spell a world, I search :)

Of course, when you're in random, it's fine. But outside it, I don't think it's fine, and people may even think that you're a child or an idiot. Good grammar shows, in a way, that you're mature lol. Even when people use bad grammar, I can understand, but not everyone can. So some times, some people don't even understand it.

Also, when you want to be serious, you have to use good grammar, otherwise, people will think you're not acting seriously.

I'm all about the proper grammar and punctuation, brah.

I try my best to type to the best of my ability no matter where I am on the Internet - it's just easier to understand and more appealing to look at I guess. :P

I don't mind simple grammar mistakes, but when people butcher the English language I get upset.
