Is there a reason for why you play games?

 

it's something I've found nice and it made my childhood happy!

btw, this poll isn't the same thing as the one posted recently. That asked what games mean for you, while this one is asking if there is a reason for why you play them. Just to clean up some possible questions that might show up!

simply b/c it's fun, entertaining and my parents so I just followed their example What good parenting!

Should have been an option for "all of the above" because for me it's all of them.

story, suspense and all of the emotions that kingdom hearts provides haha

To me video games is just the best way to kill time and I like them for challenge as well.

The primary reason I play games is to enjoy their storylines, but also because they're just fun to play. I also play them to relieve stress.

I find it funny that no one chose fourth option

 

But, really, nowadays it's hard to find friends with the same interest in games. For my friends, it's either Call of Duty or Halo. They make fun of the fact that I still play KH http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Its very entertaining.

Some are for a social reason or aspect.

Some are because they just involve me and get me interested.

And most are just awesome and addictive.

I just love them. i don't think it has to be a reason to play

I like to play them, good way to pass the time, good thing do to when you are board, great stress reliever. really just because they are great

I hallucinate that my life is much better and i live through games to avoid bitter taste of reality

it can be a fun way to relax when you are tired or when you have a long trip and you want to spend your free time ,also the chalenge

They're a fun passtime.

I'd nice to pass time And I rly like getting into stories. That's why I read books, watch anime/movies/series, write and play rpgs (mainly)

Video games help me deal with the daily horrors and unpredictabilities of life.A passion, stress reliever, challenge, each define my reason for playing video games.I see them as a gateway to another world to immerse myself in and to have fun while doing so.

Every reasons, except the social one. Play games is my love, it's the thing that I most do in my life!! It makes me feel better when I'm sad, relax, leave everything aside, and sometimes just for fun. But I never play to pass time, I need time to play. With the games, I learned english!! KH is the best game I've ever seen. It puts together everything I like: swords, magic, anime and a good story. Some people play games to pass time, but for me, games are more like something that is normal in my life, something that I need to live. I will never stop playing, I think I wouldn't get used to that.

I play games for the stories most of the time. That's why I play Force Unleashed, and that's why I love KH.

I also like getting to fight.

Also just for fun.
