Well, he's my favourite character so, I'm going to say yes. But yeah, it's totally subjective.

Yes, yes, and yes. Except that his voice acting in the English keeps getting worse and worse per game IMO.

I liked Axel more in KH2/KH Re:com/KH Days when he was that really cool assassin of the organisation,he kiled Vexen and he did the dirty job for Xemnas but then he decided he wanted to change and left them,the chakrams where pretty cool too as a weapon

Yeah, Lea/Axel are the best. Each to their own, though.

I love his character and I am glad they didn't kill at the end of the KH2 prolouge like they originally planned to.

No, that's Roxas, Sora, or Ven in my book. Axel is right after them though.

Not sure about best but definitely one of the best. 

I actually liked Axel in 358/2 Days.

 

He became even better in DDD, but he's not my all times favourite.

He is my 3.th  on  my best KH charachter list . (Riku&Ven is the 1#) But he really cool, and complicated character. Like Reno
