Could you imagine if ALL KH cutscenes were in CGI?

Featured Replies

Square is fully capable of doing so. I mean--some of the FF games turned out like that.

It may be a lot of work and it will be a lot of data. xD But yeah, one can hope.

I just can't wait for a kh with as good of quality as the newest final fantasies.

tutti frutti. I can see it possible, more so with what seems like more and more games having more CGI. Though I'm sure that there would need to be a lot of space that would be needed in order to accomplish something like that for any game should the developers decide to do something like that.

That would cost a ridiculous amount of money. Even Final Fantasy, a franchise that tends to bring in over three times as much revenue as Kingdom Hearts, has only a handful of CGI cutscenes.

You wouldn't be paying 50 dollars for a game like that. You'd be paying a couple hundred.

I mean, the Kingdom Hearts franchise has HOURS of cutscenes in total. Several movies worth.

Also, if they want to be authentic, they need a different cutscene for every different drive form and keyblade

if they did that, i wouldplay the game 24/7, beat it, and start a new game just to see the cutscenes again

Hmm, that would be cool, but i dont really play games for graphics stuff.

I'd prefer a cool character building system liek the crystarium instead of that :P

i think they should make a KH movie but not live action that would kill it, it needs to be like Advent Children. and preferably 6 hours long

The Crystarium is leveling up that you hold down a button for. Seriously, there's nothing special about it.

Might I direct your attention to Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and 358/2 Days, both of which have far more developed and involved leveling systems.

Wow, that would be great! But...could that actually happen?

I was about to say the exact same thing xD Square Enix doesn't even make their CGI openings/endings. They hire another company to do it, which I can't remember the name of but it's in one of the interviews. Hiring another company to make something usually costs more than doing it in house.

Now if they could make KH the quality of FF without losing the colorful, cartoonish style that is unique to the series, that would be cool.

No........

I like the style of the gameplay scenes

the openings and endings are special to me.

Visual Works did the opening for KH3D.

Prehaps the final battle in KHIII should be CGI.

Um actually they do make their own CG, Square Enix owns Visual Works (which is the part of the company that specializes in cg and nothing else). That's why Eidos could say Square helped them with the Deus Ex: Human Revolution CG and the new Tomb Raider Turning Point trailer, because Square themselves develop the CG.

yes just yes

Um... Eidos said Square Enix helped with Deus Ex and such is because Square Enix OWNS them.

I know that (I mean that IS the reason Square's homepage is flooded with Eidos games), I was just using it to clarify that Square does their own in house CG :).

One can dream.

I never said SE didn't make their own cutscenes, but I stand corrected on Visual Works. In fact, it looks like SE owns a lot of things I wasn't aware of. I need to do better to pay attention to the business side of things despite how boring the info can be

Its just a thought because MAN if all of the KH cutscenes were in CGI,I would pay like 50 dollars for KH 1,50 dollars for Re:CoM,and,50 dollars for KH II.AND the epicness scale would skyrocket to infinity lol. BBS is included but I dunno if I would pay 50 dollars since it would be on such a small screen. And then for days and Re:coded, since the DS Lite system does not support CGI or at least that's what I'm guessing, they aren't included.BUT man if KH 1,Re:CoM,KH 2,and BBS has ONLY CGI cutscenes... just WOW!

Are you kidding me? I payed 60 Euros for Kingdom Hearts I & II when they were out in the first place on top of Chain of Memories on the GBA which was 50. I got Birth by Sleep for 45 but that was the special edition so that translates to nearly 400 American dollars and you'd pay less than half that for superior versions! Guess we know how much Kingdom Hearts is worth to you :P

Fixed: My bad, I didnt mean cutscenes, I meant when you were talking about CG, sorry I kinda often use those terms in tandem:P.

I didn't really like the days panel system. It restricted my magic D:

Don't get me wrong, i love kh2/bbs/all that stuff, but the crystarium in FF13-2 was really useful.

It's not holding a button, it's choosing your character.

The big crystals made stat boosts depending on the class you're leveling, and each crystal costs the same amount per class in 13-2

You get to plan out where you want your character to excel.

I also liked the 13 crystarium because you just choose where you want your character headed.

The stat matrix on coded was just really annoying for me, i dont like that type of leveling.

This is purely my opinion, I still love all the kh games, though!
