Teen Titans was one of my favourite TV shows from when I was younger. It had the potential for the action, drama, and suspense of a show in the DC Animated Universe (like Batman TAS, Superman TAS, and Justice League), but also had a strong sense of humour behind it to. In short, it appealed to everyone, and it was all around a great show, despite being cancelled after leaving a HUGE cliffhanger at the end. Earlier this year, Cartoon Network brought the series back... sort of, through animated shorts called New Teen Titans. It was more of the characters we love, but with animation that was generally not too well recieved.

 

Well, it appears that after so much time of fans asking for a season six, we'll finally be getting it... sort of. It's a new animated series called "Teen Titans Go!", and it will feature the core 5 members of the group, and their respective 5 voices, returning to TV in new animated adventures.... focusing completely on comedy.

 

First, if that picture in the link is any hint of the animation style, I wouldn't call myself a fan. Second, what made Teen Titans so great was the solid story telling, characters, drama, suspense, and action it had, not just the humour. At this point I'd say I'm very nervous about how this will end up... but hey, one of my favourite shows is coming back, with the same voices, and members of the team behind the original Teen Titans.

 

How bad can it be?

I've seen a little bit of it before, and I really enjoyed it (Though my mom didn't like it so I couldn't watch it on a regular basis ). If it's anything like you make it sound, I'm a little concerned...lol. But it really was a great show from what I saw of it, and if it came back to what it was, I'd really enjoy it, supposing I took the time to watch it regularly

this new take on the super hero series focuses on the funny business that happens between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. They may be super heroes who save the world every day … but somebody still has to do the laundry!

Oh god! Come on! They have the comics which went past the where the tv show ended. How bloody hard would it be to animate those into a new season rather than with this. I mean, yes, Teen Titans' comedy features were one of its selling features. But the others were the characters, the story, the setting everything about teen titans was great. And yet these guys are going to make a show using only one of the selling points. And there's another thing. Teen Titans ran into a lot of trouble for having a cartoonish art style. So what do they do? Make it even more cartoonish!

Well, I liked the video, but I hope that's not going to be the art style for the whole show. I liked the older one. Then again, I grew up with the older one, so why wouldn't I like it more? Anyways, I'm glad to see Teen Titans are coming back. Looks like Cartoon Network is finally starting to have some good ideas. First they bring Toonami back, now this? About time.

I loved the original show! And to be honest, at first I wasn't too excited about the art style but I'll give it a chance. I don't mind that its mainly comedy. I do wish they just continued the original show but this is good enough (for now)

I just wish they brought Tera back as a Titan. She was awesome, and I loved the pairing of her and Beast Boy.

Does anyone get a straight answer anymore?

I hope it will be more serious instead of "Just" focusing on Comedy too and that a few cliffhangers will be answered at last, for example: Both Slade and Red X's real identities.

When we say we want good TV back, we mean the way it was, not some completely awesome "comedic" version. I wanna see some ass kicking, not knee slapping.

I'm happy for you Teen Titans fans. I really am. But, I do not enjoy Teen Titans and will not be sharing the experience. Good day to you all.

Man, Teen Titans used to be my favorite show. I enjoyed the animations, the action, story, comedy, and drama. It was one of the greatest shows of its time, and the movie was pretty cool to.

I agree. Tera was a great character, and the beast boy pairing was one of the things that made those episodes awesome. Betrayal, Action, Suspense, all rolled up into one great heap of awesomeness.

man, this is a real smack in the face to everyone that watched the actual cartoon.

Yeah ill give it a go but I wish they would have stuck with the normal Teen Titans format. Also funny thing that this be posted at this time for me because recently I saw a couple episodes on Boomerang and then I got interested and wanted to see the series from beginning to end! Which is what I am doing right now! The latest episode I've seen is Crash.

Yeah when I was younger (if thats even a word which I don't think it is) my mom wouldn't let me watch it for some reason even though it had a Y7 rating. tutti frutti. I am all for comedy, but I would rather that they just continued the series from where it left off. I would think that if those in charge of the original series wanted to bring it back in some major way that they would want to pick up where they left off. I'm still curious on what happened to Terra, and whether or not she really lost her memories when she was brought back, if Slade was invovled, or just something that she chose to deny. Too bad the ones in charge are always focused on change, instead of just getting the feed back from the audience on what they think about when bringing back a series.

There is still a possibility that there will still be some drama and suspense, humor will just be the leading force. More then likely they will switch back to normal after they run out of ideas after a season or so.

i found it a good show, even the movie trouble in tokyo was good, i hope it's as good as i remember

Oh, Teen Titans...that was so long ago! I don't even remember it now, but I know it was good. But even based on just that picture, yeah I don't think the new one will be any good.
