I think i speak for all kh13 members that kingdom hearts and ff are wayyyyy better than zelda games.Okayyyy zelda came first and all but kh and ff has better combat,quality,and story i mean seriously in all zelda games you have to save hyrule and zelda over and over.But ff and kh have varying stories and more emotional moments.Sooo my people what side do you pledge your alliegance to? square enix army or the zelda clan??? o.O

While I love KH, Zelda and FF I wouldnt really compare them just because they are two different worlds, thats like comparing comics to manga I love both but I dont compare them just because I know they are going to be different.... comics are going to have somethings that mangas dont have and vice versa. I love both equally and I really wouldnt like to start the fan wars that this kind of topic bring O.o

first of: Without Ocarina of Time...we wouldn't have much off open world games or action RPG games or we would've stayed with the same flat undetailed world map of old FF Games.......even my favorite series Kingdom Hearts might not have existed without the revolution Ocarina of Time has done to the Action RPG genre......also..Fenrir Cloud...I bet you haven't played Zelda games much......wind waker and Skyward Sword didn't occur in Hyrule........dude.....Sales and Critcal acclaim from all critics proves that Zelda is one of the best franchises...Ocarina of Time has the highest rating on Metacritic...higher than any game to date and considered one of the best games in history

 

also....every zelda game has a different Story and a different incarnation of link and Zelda.......some occurs in Hyrule and some others don't...Ganondorf doesn't appear in every Zelda Game....some games in the series doesn't have Ganondorf

I notice that the Truth in the title is in quotation marks. Does that mean that you're saying Truth ironically, or that you're quoting someone directly?

 

Regardless, I think it's comparing apples to oranges when you consider how very different the two genres are. Kingdom Hearts is an action based beat-em-up platformer which focuses on speed and combat. Zelda is more about dungeon crawling and puzzle solving, getting the right tool for the job. Storyline wise, Kingdom Hearts has more defined characters and plot arcs, but Zelda focuses more on the old-school view of RPGs where what Link is thinking is vicarious of what the player is thinking, subtley getting them involved in the game more and making it more personal.

 

Now, if you want a tangible argument, discuss Kingdom Hearts vs. Mario.

I like them both equally, even thought KH is my favorite series. i just think its stupid to compare 2 different games, and say one is better than the other just because there different in gameplay and story. there not ment to be the same game.

what truth????? your topic is an opinion not an absolute truth........Zelda and KH are completely different Franchises....this is like compraing Call of Duty to Sonic the Hedgehog..........I like KH more but there are people who love Zelda more than KH and vice versa........if you're trying to piss people off.....then this isn't the place to do so...yeah KH13 is a kingdom hearts forum but that doesn't mean the people who love kingdom hearts don't like other games

No we wouldn't still have the 'boring old maps' of Final Fantasy. (I liked them better anyways).

 

Stop acting like Ocarina of Time changed more than it did. I guarantee we still would have Final Fantasy VII if Ocarina of Time never existed. Ocarina of Time influenced a different genre of games than Final Fantasy VII.
