I don't get it! Why Disney Channel don't announce news about KH? *Spoilers?*

Posted

Aw! C'mon Disney Channel! Is obviously you have to put news about KH! KH is part of the Disney Family too! (I guess.....) Anyway..... Why? I mean..... sometimes Disney Channel puts News about other games about Disney like Epic Mickey and about new Disney Game Movies...... but Why not KH? Perhaps because KH is not a pure game of Disney or something?

What do you think?

The last time disney channel announced/advertised for a KH game was what? 2006? 6 years ago when KH2 came out, and they managed to sneak in a little Hannah Montana into that advertisement too T_T

Idk why they don't advertise anymore, you'd think they would since the game does have a lot of disney in it.

Because the people would die from the awsomeness of kh.

last thing i remember seeing of KH on Disney was when they were showing off KH CoM and they said after you beat the game you get something special. That made me so excited to play it and beat it. Even more when i found out you get to play as Riku :D

kh2 was on disney 365! with Jesse Mccartney. I remember as if it were yesterday

have some video?i would like to see it :D

Seeing how Disney Channel now these days are just cheap sitcoms that had no thought creating it what so ever, if it doesn't have a 'upcoming' star in the thing, no show! Hell, the only times I've saw a KH game been advertised was back during ABC Kids!

I once thought the same thing. But Square Enix does most of the work, anyway.

Kingdom Hearts is developed by Square Enix not Disney.

Disney don't have to air commercials relating to Kingdom Hearts.

KH is a tiny insignificant speck on the scale of Disney products.

Also, Disney isn't overly fond of the franchise in the first place (The story of Epic Mickey goes that they were trying to make Mickey relevant to older children again... what does that make KH? Sliced ham?)

(Honestly, there are some racist undertones here, as KH is a Japanese game while Epic Mickey is an American one. I only say this, because Disney doesn't exactly have a history of racial sensitivity)

As much as I would hate a KH for the wii, I almost want one so it can just outshine Epic Mickey.

Well, for now, we can compare DDD to Epic Mickey 2 for the 3DS

1. Disney channel has almost nothing to do with Disney other than being owned by the Disney Corporation.

2. Kingdom Hearts games just advertise for Disney, the only work Disney actually puts into KH games are licencing the use of their characters, stories, and settings, and some promoting in the west.

Even though they own the franchise 100% and only licensing it to Square. I do find it weird that Disney themselves do little to nothing with the series, but it's most likely for the better. (imagine a cheap KH sitcom....yeah)

EDIT: They do promote the f**king shit out of it in their Downtown Disney store. They had 100 copies of Re:coded last time I visited the stores.

Kingdom Hearts:

99,9% work of Square Enix.

0,01% work of Disney.

Thats why the game says "Disney. Developed by Square Enix". lol

Mickey Mouse has almost nothing to do with Disney besides being owned by the Disney Corporation

I thought they advertised something for Days, but I don't know for sure. All I really remember is when they advertised KH2, and before that KH and CoM with the "secret lab" commercials. Anyway, Disney probably thinks people that like Disney channel are too young to know KH, and that the ones that grew up with it don't watch it anymore.

Anyway, I'd really hoped they'd advertise DDD! I mean, it's the ten year anniversary game, the story takes place after KH2, it ties into the long awaited KH3, etc. But no dice. Stupid, Disney channel... What really gets me is that they advertise things like Wreck it Ralph (which is about video games) that doesn't even come out until November, but they don't advertise KH when it's already out. I mean, WTH?

And though this isn't Disney channel, does anyone remember when Disney advertised KH1 before the House of Mouse Movie? http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGxmI7Eo0X0

Anyway, to get back on track, the fact is Disney doesn't target people the same way anymore. When I was a kid, we got things like So Weird and KH. Now people have things like Hannah Montana. Yeah... Enough said.

Still, it's sad that you're least likely to see an advertisement for a Disney game on a Disney channel.

They'd better advertise KH3, though, (but I won't get my hopes up).

Nothing to do with KH, but I love that Lilo and Stitch preview.

talking about Hannah Montana, Remember That April Fool? "Sora Florida Meets Hannah Montana" YES! AN APRIL FOOL'S DAY JOKE HEEH

I see KH advertised more on ABC Family than anything, MTV once or twice too. Disney apparently doesn't take pride in such a wonderful franchise. One in the "Disney Secret Lab" and "Disney 411" doesn't cut it. There have been quite a few more games since then, and Disney still doesn't air ads for it. You would think they would be bragging about the success in the series. Then again, I'm sure Walt would cry if he saw what the company has become today.
