General consensus? It's not very good but not as bad as Days.

You people disgust me

lol u mad bro

8/10

It was fun, and helped progress the plot, even if it didn't reveal anything.

Unfortunately you had to go through the same worlds from KH and CoM three times, so it got a bit dull. But it had some very interesting mechanics, and changing the way each world worked was definitely effective at keeping it too repetitive.

Coded is better than all the games besides KH1, 2, BBS and CoM

8/10

0.0 So you're saying it's only better than Days and DDD? Days is personally my favorite game ever!

As a game it's really not bad. It has the most bat-shit crazy (in a good way) game style in the series and I found it really fun. As for story...it doesn't really have one? I think this is where fans hit it hard because for all intensive purposes Re:Coded is "useless" story wise. What little it has is almost completely self contained but I don't find it so much "bad" as it was extremely "simple". As was intended. Re:Coded was never really meant to be a story heavy game but it could have been better, at least from a self contained stand point, but I think it originally being on a cell phone really hurt it because of the time constraints.

I completely agree with you.

Yes

Coded fixed a lot of problems with Days, and DDD is just overall rushed

Basically, my way of determining how much I liked something is by how much I'd be willing to go back and play it... and I would play Re:Coded again before I'd play Days or DDD

I'd actually say it's tied with CoM

It was ok, but kinda unnecessary to the story.

Agreed

Imo it was the worst kh game by far, but its still a kh game, which means it wasn't a bad game. The gameplay and graphics were pretty good, but it kinda lacked on the story side of things, I feel like we could have more or less figured out the story on our own, except maybe the secret ending about taking the mark of mastery. I'll give it a 7/10.

My rating would be 7.

It has terrific gameplay(superior to Days)and the matrix grid was a great thing to implement, the specific gameplay worlds were a good idea too, but the story was just sucked...most of the time didn't make sense...but my favorite battle is the one with Riku haha...

A game doesn't really need story to strive, its more of a bonus...the gameplay was swell.

I give it about an 8/10. I had fun playing it.

6/10 Because is fun at the beginning but bored when you finish it

Eh, I'd give it a 6.5

I love all Kingdom Hearts games, but the story was lacking and it bothered me. :/

7 or 8 because I really loved the first KH and this was kind of similar, or at least world wise. I liked it even though it was kinda easy

Simple. Re:Coded is good and high quality

I give it a 6/10. Its one of two KH game I wouldn't replay (the other being CoM, as I am terrible with the card system). The story was entertaining, but it wasn't spectacular (or important). The game play was good, as were most of the gimmicks (I didn't like the side scrolling at all, though). The debugging sequences were repetitive (they felt far more repetitive to me than Day's missions, but that's just IMO). The overclock system was pretty cool, but while I would love to have it back, I can live without it. The command system was great, but it was also great in DDD and (I assume, having never played it) BbS. The Avatar Kingdom (I think that is what its called) was pretty boring, except maybe the secret boss in it.

Overall, I don't think it was a bad game, but it wasn't great either.

4/10 No more.... If you ask me second time I'll reduce my review to 3/10 I didn't like this game at all. The only good thing bout it was that introtuced us to 3D nothing more. If it weren't for that my rating would be 1/10 BAD BAD BAD

PS: I sound like a wretched Critic AH I <3 ME

Better than Days...

Dis iz not a insult Days thread itz a thread about Re:Coded! D:<

I like Re:Coded but it's not my absolute favorite in the series (I like every game so this is kinda pointless xD). I loved playing in the datascapes and hearing the music (Pretty Pretty Abilities ^^). I actually didn't mind the story much.....but I was too distracted by the prize blox and data Riku to notice xD Overall, I liked it....now I have the sudden urge to play it again O.o

Dis iz not a insult Days thread itz a thread about Re:Coded! D:<

Sorry?

Dis iz not a insult Days thread itz a thread about Re:Coded! D:<

Diz did not insult Days threads because it was a thread about Re:Coded?

I give RE: Coded a 6

The story overall was boring and recycled many of the Disney worlds from the first Kingdom Hearts. The only important thing about Coded is learning about "those who are in hurting", the contents of Mickey's letter, and the secret ending that teases to Dream Drop Distance. But the gameplay is what made Re: Coded worth playing cB

Graphics: 9/10 (for a DS game)

Sound: 9/10

Gameplay: 9/10

Story: 3/10

Lasting appeal: 7/10

Overall: 8/10

I really liked re:Coded because it was very engaging. It resembles KH1 as far as gameplay goes, and even adds RPG battle style and side-scrolling worlds into the mix. I liked all the creativity it had. Now it does lack in the story department, but if you're looking at re:coded for its gameplay I'd rate it pretty high. Out of all the Kingdom Hearts games that I've played (which have been all of them), I'd say re:Coded is my 4th favorite, above Dream Drop Distance, COM, and Days.

I'd give this game an 8/10. It was enjoyable and a good time waster.
