Just my opinion. I think it really captures the spirit of the old FFs. It kind of reminds me of V. 

I love the soundtrack, the humour, the fun side stuff. It completely destroys everything that XIII worked to build, and the story telling is a lot more loose... but still, best FF in a long time, in my opinion

 

This is true. I really enjoyed playing XIII-2 when other FF games during past twelve years has been kinda "This is good, but not great either"  

I truly enjoyed fresh sounding soundtrack, much more brighter atmosphere compared to XIII and I didn't encounter weird bugs with battle system. They had improved the map design greatly and you could actually do something else than just go and do progress for mainstory. Game is still kinda linear,  but at least now it has multiple routes to take and it's overall larger. The time travelling was well thought and it didn't confuse me like KH's time travelling. Thank god that they took off the weird weapon level up system. 

 

Only things I didn't enjoy were that most of bosses could be taken down in first try and that huge difficulty spike comes in last minutes of the game. Also it really doesn't feel worth going to same place on different time if just one firetrucking wall breaks in hundred years. 

I don't think it's the BEST, but I definitely enjoyed it. I thought the story was pretty good and the gameplay was great. Plus, I loved the addition of Noel into the story. The music playing in his future was amazing. It actually brought a tear to my eye as they told he and Caius' backstory.

Agree. I enjoyed it so much more personally than FF12 and the original FF13 game. Lets hope that Lightning Returns is just as good if not better, though I'm tired of the FF13 world and people. I want to see a new world and new characters and new hero and badguy. FF13 has been taking front and centre since 2010. Then again FF 7 has been taking front and centre since it was made.

Imo, FFX. Maybe it's just because it's the first FF I played, but I honestly think it's better than FF13-2. The story was great, characters were fantastic, gameplay was fun and there was a lot to do. Yeah lol I still enjoyed the song, though.

I think FF13 is a good series in own way, but I prefer FF12, which is sorta underrated for a FF game lol

I love XIII-2 too,it's actually one of my favorite FF games of all time. To be honest I didn't enjoy X that much and I hated 12 to no end. I liked the original XIII and I was sad that XIII-2 completely abandoned XIII in everything except the characters.But it was a great underrated game for 2012.

What do you mean? They dropped Orphan and Barthandelus after XIII. And Caius was killed by Noel. That was his whole plan. I doubt he's returning

What's wrong with Tidus, Yuna, Auron, Wakka and Rikku? Turn-based battle system is cool. You did grinding? I just blew the enemies away, I was too powerful at the end of the game.

Tidus is obnoxious, Yuna is awkward, Auron is awesome, Wakka is obnoxious and Rikku is obnoxious. Does that answer your question? I agree, but not everyone likes that. I specifically said POST-game. The post game revolves around grinding your characters up to their maximum power level. There's nothing else.

Trust me, I used to love it. It's just that it gets old semi-fast. However, I plan to buy the HD remake, so I'm giving it another chance.

 

I'd also like to add that Tidus is a terrible protagonist. He's annoying, obnoxious and his design is terrible. You can see his nickers for goodness sake!

There is a secret ending in XIII-2 where ot was revealed that he actually ressurected once again and he was talking to Yeul about a new world without Etro,that means he might come back for LRFFXIII without Etro's Heart that made him immortal before.That's why omitting Caius from LRFFXIII would be stupid
