Okay, so i seem to notice that there are some fans that are worried about weather they will keep the old voices or make new voices for KH1 if the KH 1.5 HD ReMix comes to the west. I just thought I'd say that it could be possible since the Silent Hill HD Collection did it. I mean to be completely honest, I wouldn't really be surprised if they re-voiced the characters for KH1. Though I guess it would fit since they are using the Kh3D models...or would it? o

I would like for the voices to stay the same but if they re-voice them then oh well.

Not only Sora would sound not girly, but Kairi would sound different too.

The only one in the trio to have a stable voice actor is Riku.

I doubt that they will. There is no reason to do it and it would cost them more money.

Keep the voices that are still being used now, but fix some of the voices that changed (like Leon and Ansem).

I don't think they need to.  I kind of like Sora's KH1 voice for his KH1 incarnation, same with Riku, and it's kind of jarring to hear their KH2 voices in the later games when they're in their younger forms.  Besides, they're just updating the graphics and the controls and adding some trophies, not remaking it.  Some people might enjoy the updated voices and voice acting, but others like me don't feel they should bother.  Plus, it might make the wait even longer.

 

On a somewhat unrelated note, the Silent HIll community in general hates the new voices in the HD collection.  Check the comments of that video and you'll see what I mean.

Love and hate is the only distinction for nihilists.   That would be too much effort for a remastering. To replace old textures with new ones still cost almost the same but is as pointless as re-voicing.

What scene? I didn't refer to any scenes. And re-voicing a few old scenes in a new game doesn't cost them all that much. They're already paying the voice actors for voice a bunch of new scenes then. It's different when you call together the voice cast to re-voice an entire game.

The scene that happened in KH1 they played in DDD about Sora and Riku talking about the raft and going to other worlds. The voice of Sora is just so off.

The re-did his voice because it was a new scene. In the original Sora and Riku was on that tiny other island connected to the bridge. In KH3D they were on the beach. Besides, it would be weird to have only one scene with their younger voices and in the next they have their current voices. If it had been a flashback it would be understandable but it isn't a flashback.

Uh, it would make more sense to have the younger voices because Sora actually sounded younger in KH1. I know it's the same voice actor and the actor's voice has changed, but for that specific scene, they could've done some editing with his voice or just have no voice acting for that scene  -_-

Yes it would make more sense to have their younger voice in their younger forms, but they can't. Or maybe they could have done some editing as you said, I don't know. But, what wouldn't make sense would have them have their younger voices in only one scene because they said they exact same lines 10 years ago, and then go on with having their older voices.

If they re-voiced the scenes, developing the game would take much more time.

It is complete games they're remixing.

Looking forward to those original voices, also getting my nostalgia chair ready.

I doubt they have recorded any dialogue unless they needed too. I hope they have recorded for the Final Mix exclusive scenes though.

 

Since they are including the English voices and we've heard nothing at this stage of an English release I seriously doubt any re-recording unless they needed too.
