Nope. Although the Final Fantasy name comes with a certain expectation of quality plot and storyline, some of the games are quite aged now. Although I'm sure each has it's merits, I've not bothered to play anything that hasn't had Cloud in at least a cameo role. They keep saying they won't remake 7 until they know the series is dead so as not to detract from sales... but it's seriously not a series. It's a bunch of unrelated titles given an unoriginal name and a number. Holding off on remaking 7 isn't going to make me buy games for systems I don't own any faster. I mean, seriously, Nomura had his staff remake Kingdom Hearts' Chain of Memories. They had to pull people off other projects for that. It's kind of ridiculous to think about, that Kingdom Hearts gets a reboot of a game barely anyone played (and the remake wasn't even ported outside Japan and the US - leaving Europe and Australia and anywhere else that wanted it out of luck) and yet we can't get a remake of a game whose compilation has a considerably large number of fans that aren't so into the other Final Fantasy titles.

No, I've played 1 through 4.

I've played IV, VII, IX, X, XII, and XIII. So no, I'm still missing the first few and VIII.

Nope.  I've played V through X(-2).  I've seen a playthrough of IV, though that doesn't count as playing it, and I tried III on the DS before giving up from level grinding overdose less than a third through the game.  Also, keep in mind there's more to FF than the core numbered series.  There's the Complication Compilation of FFVII, where I've played Crisis Core, there's the Tactics series, and even the Chocobo Mystery Dungeon series if you're bold enough to include them.  Even when you don't count these, the core number titles are still, well, numerous.  I don't know anyone who's played every single one, and I'm not inclined to from lack of interest.

I'm in the process of playing them all, though I haven't succeeded just yet.

 

Sadly, the only Final Fantasy games I've completed are IV, VI, VII, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, the three legend games for the GBC, Mystic Quest, and I'm at the very end of Final Fantasy X (currently stuck with Braska's Final Aeon).  I've also played bits of I, III, VIII, IX, X-2 and XII, but I haven't completed them yet.

My list goes like this:

FF VIII - Check

FF TA - Check

FF X- Check

FF XII - Check

FFXIII - Not like it but check

I've beaten III, IV, X, and X-2. I've played but not beaten I, II, VII:Crisis Core, XII, and XIII. I also beat Dissidia and Tactics if those count and I've seen FFVII: Advent Child but that's movie

Almost. I've played I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, VIII, X, and XII. Only need to play V, IX, XI, and the XIII games (Not going to play XIV) Sadly, of all those, I've only finished I, II, and IV... Nearly done with X, also. I still have a long way to go...

It wasn't really a series I was into until after I played KH2 (first KH game I played) and I saw the FF characters in it.  This lead me to look up the other series, but due to money I couldn't go out and just buy everyone that's been out so far.  I have Dissidia, X-2 and XIII.  Someday i'll prob download the versions they remade as PS3 ports for download on PSN.

This is the order I have played the ones I have played in... If that makes sense.

Maybe it would have been easier to say no.

 

And I only decided to try Final Fantasy because of Kingdom Hearts. Because I thought Cloud was the sickest bad ass. And because of Zack and Aqua.
