The Pokemon Company has revealed to MCV that the next twelve months will be among the biggest in Pokemon history. The Pokemon Company is planning to launch a number of new Pokemon related titles, a new TV series, events, a film and new toys throughout 2013. the Pokemon Company will then release the long-awaited Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the Nintendo 3DS, which is the first ever worldwide release of a major Pokemon game.

 

 

“Undoubtedly 2013 is a key year for us to grow and usher in a new era for Pokémon with Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and the introduction of new characters as the launch platform.”

 

 

 

“We believe these games will appeal to all generations both veterans and newcomers to Pokémon.”

Well they've been doing that almost every year, I guess they are just going to improve on what they do such as gameplay, story, character development and etc.

 

Or go into a new genre in their Pokémon games (please be an mmorpg for the Wii U or/and the PC please be an mmorpg for the Wii U or/and the PC please be an mmorpg for the Wii U or/and the PC)

i dont think an mmorpg for the wii u or for the pc would sell very well

This sounds too familiar; dont you think they are getting a little overhyped just to have people prepare their wallets? lol it works anyways.

There's one thing that I really want to happen and that is remake of Pokemon Yellow. Probably impossible this year because they want to bring new era of pokemons but I wish one day this should happen.

You have to remember who Pokemon is aimed at. Kids.

 

Regardless of how many older people play the games it is a series that primarily appeals to the younger audience. I don't think (while I would love to see one) an MMO is a route they can take because of how many parents want their kids playing an online game with people who could be well older than them.

 

If Game Freak and Nintendo found a way where those who were under a certain age could enjoy the game while keeping the older crowd happy (whether it be with parental controls or whatever) then that would be awesome but an MMO just doesn't seem any bit realistic no matter how much a lot of people want it.
