So, is there any characters in a video game who's death made you feel a bit sad or emotional?For me yeah. The first game that made me feel kinda sad for a video game character was MGS1. Seeing Sniper Wolf die was a bit sad especially with "Enclosure" playing in the background. I kinda felt sorry for her after hearing her backstory and how she turned out to be not so bad after all.

Zack has the honor of being the only video game character whose death made me cry.  No, not just sad; cry.  I was honestly somewhat sullen for a day after, and it cemented my return to the FFVII fandom, which eventually led to my joining the KH fandom.  So yeah.

Every single Pikmin I've sent to their deaths.

 

No, really. That game upsets me on so many levels.

And in addition to those, Latov from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates and Goofy (though not a real death) in KH2. Can't think of many right now for some reason.

Same here. It was actually the only GAME scene to ever make me cry. It was really well executed.

that and when you do the ditching Yoshi thing to avoid falling into an endless chasm of death ;~;

 

Aside from that I would say Nina from Harvest Moon A Wonderful life.. you don't even see her die. Just one day you see her husband build a house near her grave ;~;

 

And of course Sora from KH1... I know he came back to life and all but I still felt emotional

Oh, I forgot Curly Brace in Cave Story.

 

The death of John Marston in Read Dead Redemption. The scene and circumstances of his death I believe is one of the most well thought out and well done of his generation of gaming.

 

Ugh too many. However, only Zack's, Xion's and Tidus's made me cry.

Goofy's fake death in KH2 was well done, but one that made me the saddest was Alkaid from .hack G.U.. Although she technically didn't die, she just became a lost one, that still got to me.

I always felt bad for Grog from Ocarina of Time.

 

You know, that punk dude who says that people disgust him, and later sends you on part of the biggoron sword sidequest, only to die in the lost woods before you can bring him medicine?  Yeah.

I'm so mad at me right now, I should know that you're not supposed to read a topic like this if you don't want to get spoiled of some popular games ...REALLY, how stupid can I be?! D : ARGH

 

But anyway, Xion's death made me so said and as well as Axel's. Another sad one was Vossler's death in FFXII, it was so irritating when he always stepped in the traps but when he was gone.. I missed him doing so.
