June 14, 201312 yr Kingdom Hearts series creator Tetsuya Nomura certainly loves dreaming big. When hearing news of Disney’s acquisition of Marvel and LucasArts, Nomura told IGN that the first thing he did was to give the entertainment giant a ring. “Whenever I hear of the news, I always say, ‘woah…they’ve done it again. The first thing I do when I find out this news is contact Disney and see if it’s something I can use [in Kingdom Hearts].” The idea certainly doesn’t seem as farfetched as one would believe. Several of Disney’s live action films have appeared in previous Kingdom Hearts games like Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course, Disney is a mammoth of a company and naturally not every branch has a different attitude. “Disney’s companies are all very different. Sometimes the answer is ‘absolutely no,’ and sometimes the answer is, ‘…hmm, we don’t know…’” Of course there will be plenty of objections to this ever happening. EA claimed exclusive rights to create Star Wars games not too long ago, and I doubt Square Enix using the IP would make them happy. In regards to Pixar’s films, which Nomura has also inquired about, Disney has used them extensively to advertise Disney Infinity, and I doubt that Kingdom Hearts has the name recognition pull in the amount of money that franchise is going to make. I don’t see this ever happening unfortunately. The idea of Chewbacca, The Hulk and Mike Wazowski in Kingdom Hearts III game is just a little too cool to fathom. Nomura is always on the lookout for new Disney IP to add to his series, but it seems like the classics from Disney Animation Studio are forever going to be the bread and butter. What hasn’t he found yet that could serve Kingdom Hearts well? From what I read, it's not 100% confirmed.

June 14, 201312 yr Author I hope that doesn't happen. I mean people are complaining about the Xbox One so forgot his name should troll us with this it will calm down people about Xbox One. But, I would love marvel at least in it.

And right before the battle, Luke (or another character) gives you a Lightsaber Keyblade for an epic showdown. Come on guys, have trust. If Nomura can pull off the combination of Final Fantasy and Disney, then this is possible too. It seems like a lot of people are not optimists I'm not really an optimist but people should really think about the consequences in a good way and have trust..

Besides, Star Wars could have the art style of the Clone Wars, and I'm pretty sure they'd know how to make Marvel fit in. Just have some trust in them.

The game was built around Final Fantasy and Disney though so the hole concept of the game takes aspects of the two things. That's why it would be weird to put in the others. Plus Xemnas has his "ethereal blades". If star wars were to be added to the mix it would just confuse everyone and they would think he is a Jedi or something.

Well, all I can say is that we should just wait. If this does happen, then we'll see how it all works out. For now, we can only speculate.
June 14, 201312 yr The star wars world imo would be cool and could make sense. The avengers would be too crazy and wouldnt fit in at all with kingdom hearts.

We can assume Nomura's a god or whatever but that doesn't mean he'll have the money to just buy the rights to whatever he wants, especially since everyone knows SE has been suffering financially. Disney limits the rights to the amount of material SE can use for this game and the face time their characters can have, and rights cost money. That's why we haven't see a new Tarzan world since KH1 (not including memory copies or HD masters) and why there was so little scenes of Mickey in KH1. These new divisions would be the same. If I had the money I could go out and acquire a company doesn't mean I personally produced their previous products, it wouldn't make them "Caity" products, and I see no difference to Disney acquiring them. The past films and comics are not Disney products just cause they bought the right to them.

I mean Kingdom Hearts was suppose to be a perfect crossover of both Final Fantasy and Disney however nowadays it's mainly Disney characters while the last FF character added was in BBS. This majority of Disney has caused worlds such as Atlantica to exist. Adding Star wars and Marvel might be just what Kingdom Hearts needs to get back on its feet screw the Disney feel
June 14, 201312 yr It sounds cool to have the Star Wars characters in KH, and I LOVE the movies, but for some reason it doesn't sound right. I mean the Star Wars franchise isn't genuine Disney, it was bought a few months ago by Disney. Despite my feelings on this, I can't tell you how cool it would be to have Sora fight Darth Vader.
