I see so many fangasms and excitement for KHIII here but have you guys ever thought that KHIII won't be the godly game you're expecting it to be? There are several easy reasons why it could be bad so allow me to begin

 

• As Nomura said it was announced too early. We've seen video game companies release games that had great potential early just to try to please the fans but ultimately fail. coughSonic06cough It is very possible that Square could end up releasing the game early, thus ruining it's potential.
• Secondly, the story. Over 50% of those people who are excited for KHIII have not played any of the portable games. They won't understand the story at all which will lead to many persons' experience with KHIII to not be at it's full potential
• "Just recap the the plot via cutscenes at the beginning" 
  Yes. I agree. Let's have a 1 and a half hour to 2 and a half hours of opening movie to the game.

Well Weiss, while I respect your opinion, I don't think that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be horrifyingly bad.  Nomura himself knows that we, the fans have been waiting for this game for a long time now, and I doubt that he's going to disappoint us with Kingdom Hearts 3.  This insight is pretty interesting though, and you offer a side of Kingdom Hearts fans that thinks: "Hey, maybe this game won't live up to the hype."  But I am one of the hopefuls who thinks that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be excellent.  We have to be appreciative that we at least got this teaser trailer.  And besides, my concrete guess for Kingdom Hearts 3's release date, in my opinion, would be in early 2015.  Why you ask?  Because 1.5 is scheduled for this year, and with the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3, there will no doubt be a 2.5 next year to distract us while he puts the finishing touches to Kingdom Hearts 3, and on March 2015(My prediction anyway.)Kingdom Hearts 3 might be released in Japan, and in the States at around June 2015.  While I respect your opinion Weiss, I disagree that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be bad.  I know that most of you will just say that I'm defending KH like a crazy fanboy, but I'm placing my faith in Nomura.  We have to give the guy credit for making 7 Kingdom Hearts games so far right?  There's no reason to doubt him now.

i believe enough in Nomura to know he will please as many fans as possible and i also agree weiss' ideas do for the most part need to be addressed by square they are quite reallistic in general bar a few ridiculous ones.

You can't say if the game will be bad either yet. I think there'll be people who'll be dissappointed in it anyway but also those who'll love it, because different people like different things. Like, for some people it'll be dissappointment that you can't understand the story without playing other games than 1 and 2 but then again some people will just like that. And some people won't like it as much because it's made by Osaka team, but some people will like it more because of that.

So, people getting super hyped about something they've been looking forward to, only for it to not live up to the pedestal it's being put on because everyone's going to love and complain about different things based on what they personally want to see?  I'm sure that's never happened before in the history of ever, because everything has lived up to its hype.

I highly doubt it will be "the worst thing in the KH universe" this game, what with KHII Atlantica and the V Cast KH game setting the bar fairly low.

So I take that you agree at the rest of the post because you decided to answer only this.3DS lacks an analog stick and 2 triggers and has an extra screen. They could have put the KH2 gameplay but it wouldn't be the same.As I said, the story is good and all the games are considered very good games in their respective platforms. That is what matters to me. Good games sell. So, Square and every game company that wants to make money, should make good games.

Regardless, this is all just hypothesis of a pessimistic view (no offense), no one can truly say that this game will be good or bad until the release of the game (or unless future info says something that smells fishy), the trailer looked good by my standards but I still can't say if it's a good or bad game. (And seriously sonic 06, come on Cat Mario had tighter controls than that game. :lol: )

 

I plan on looking forward to the future titles of KH, I've enjoyed all of them (hell even Chain), the awesome story and nostalgia always seems to draw me back as well as the awesome gameplay, I end up playing all the titles or watch the cutscenes on KH13 so I'm not really behind as for the people that don't have all the games, if they're really entranced in the story they could always find the cutscenes here to fully understand the concept of KHIII.
