I thought I'd make a thread where we just post bible verses that we've been feeling applies to our life lately. Like, if you've been reading a particular book from the bible, and you feel like one verse really speaks to you, feel free to post it and maybe discuss it too! I feel this would be a good way to gain fellowship, even if it's just with people over the internet. 

 

EDIT: Feel free to also post lyrics from Christian songs or segments from Christian poems/articles, stuff like that. Anything that speaks to you, post it!

 

Also, feel free to post if you're not a Christian, but please post something that contributes to the discussion and isn't just a troll post. I don't want to see random out-of-context verses that you're posting to just make us look bad. Thanks!

 

Let's start with a simple one:

 

John 6:35 — Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

Well this is not a bible quote but it's a christian poem referring to those who have a hard time giving their problems to God and letting Him handle it without their own interference. :

 

Like children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God because he was my friend

Instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone, I tried to help with ways that were my own .

Alas I cried, How can you be so slow ?

He said, because dear child, you never did let go.

So true, my friend. I can admit that a lot of people on our side (myself included sometimes), have been guilty of judging like that.
