Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

The film is directed by Chris Buck ("Tarzan," "Surf's Up") and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, "Wreck-It Ralph"), and produced by Peter Del Vecho ("Winnie the Pooh," "The Princess and the Frog"). Featuring music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez ("The Book of Mormon," "Avenue Q") and Kristen Anderson-Lopez ("In Transit"), "Frozen" is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013

i literally just watched Frozen for the first time ever just now and i can honestly say this right after watching it i dont get what the big deal is sure it wasn't a bad movie but it wasnt the best either like i can respect the animation in the film and the story wasnt all that bad but i wouldnt say it was the best movie ever i'd probably give it a 7 out of 10 maybe 8

I praise this movie as the best Disney one I've ever watched, but I do dislike some of the main aspects of the film. Namely most of the characters, the boring ones (Anna), the irritating ones (Olaf, the trolls) and so on. I'm still not satisfied with the ending but hey, who am I to complain? The songs were... okay, except for Olafs and the trolls. The more I dwell on it, I think I mainly like the film because of Elsa and my fascination with the cold.

ALL OF MY YESSS

I will agree. While I do like Frozen (it's one of the better Disney movies in resent times), I don't think it's THAT good. I remember the advertisements for Frozen that claimed it was better than The Lion King. I'm sorry, but as a long time TLK fan, any movie that claims to be better, I have to take with a big grain of salt. Frozen was no exception. I when into the movie with harsh criticism, and came out loving it! But it still can't hold a flame (or a snowflake) To The Lion King. It's good, but not that good.

There's always going to be that one thing that everyone obsesses about. Eventually, the excitement will die down and no one will care about it like they do now.

What about Justin Bieber or One Direction?

They are still here.

I actually love Frozen and its my favourite Disney movie (as well as my favourite movie in 2013).  I just love how the plot was, how it went away from the expected tropes you would see in a Disney film and the music was REALLY good. Adele Dazeem Idina Menzel knocked it out of the park with "Let it Go", "First Time in Forever" was a really good song even if it seems like it can fit in the Tangled Universe (I mean, Rapunzel can sing this as she is out of the tower a couple of lyric changes), "In Summer" was pretty hilarious with the video, "Fixer Upper" was a decent sounding song and I loved the lyrics, "Do you want to build a Snowman" was probably the cutest and saddest song in the movie, "Frozen Heart" was so manly and the voices were great, and "Love is an Open Door" was also a nice song for a reason I can't say. Of course the reprises were nice too. "Let it Go" was the best one though.

Thought I get Frozen being overrated, I like the fact its all over the place since it shows there are still people into Disney movies outside of the internet (seriously, not many talk about Disney) but I can't say it isn't overrated.

Great film, but its gonna be overrated. If people talk about something a lot, it becomes overrated. Its just how it goes, no matter how good the product or being is.

It definitely wont decrease for years maybe until the next big Disney musical or princess movie comes out. And that's in 2018.

Even then it might not go away, the Lion King didn't go away still and its been more than a decade.

I'm lucky to have loved Frozen on my own merits.  I went into that movie with approximately zero expectations--all I knew was it was Disney and everyone said it was good, which was good enough for me.  I didn't experience any of the hype, any opinion I have of it has nothing to do with its (over)exposure.

When enough people like something, of course it'll be everywhere and then people annoyed with it will call it overrated.  As I've stated elsewhere, "overrated" has no meaning for me.  It's a buzzword people throw around when a lot of people like something they don't.

If you ask me, the movie is pretty amazing, but it is in NO way the greatest movie ever made. The only people that are saying that are the die-hard fans. Not to mention, 2013 was a pretty weak year for animated movies, and Disney has been hit-or-miss with the quality of their movies lately. So Frozen was just kind of a breath of fresh air; but unfortunately, it is getting to the point where the movie is over hyped. For example, after The Dark Knight came out, Batman fans went batshit crazy over it and hailed it as the best movie ever made. I didn't see that movie till a year later when it was over-hyped beyond belief, and as a result, I found the movie to be pretty underwheleming.

It is one of my favorite Disney Movies (Lion King remains one of the greatest Disney masterpieces ever) but Love is an Open Door got on my nerves. I was annoyed by the amount of songs (and I didn't really like Olaf's, as funny as it was) and while Anne was a bit...flat I understood why.

I woulda liked more Elsa, didn't get to see her ice powers enough and she was the main reason :/ sigh.

Let It Go remains the best Disney song I have heard since This is Real, that song from Camp Rock Demi Lovato sang.

It has it's merits, yes. It is a great movie.

But it just isn't the greatest movie of all time.

The greatest movie of all time is obviously anything with the words Scooby Doo in the title, pff.

What about Justin Bieber or One Direction?

Give it time. Sometimes, the process is slower than others.

Not the best movie of all time, but possibly the best Disney Animated Classic of the current Revival Era, though it's really a toss up between that and The Princess and the Frog. It looks like Disney is finally getting back on track.

I like the movie (which it really something seeing as how I expected to be greatly disappointed by how much changed from The Snow Queen) but it does get annoying when people won't shut up about it.

As for the lack of traditional animation, we all miss it, but Disney has sworn it off for the foreseeable future so we'll have to get used to the CGI.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have the dvd of it now and watched it 3 times so far xD

The songs kind of got stuck in my head afterwards lol

Its a good film :)
