3. They need a replacement for Sora.

he isnt one...BUT.... he can be one easly, thats why xemnas was looking for him.

it has never been said that Aqua is the ONLY one that can get to Ventus, its just that she's the only one that knows HOW to find him

Look, not sure if you're serious, but I am sure that Xemnas during KH2 WAS searching for Ventus and even if Aqua is the only one who can find him, does he know that? Or, even if he did, he'd probably still try to find Ventus anyway; it'd be worth a shot.

It is implied that Xemnas knew that Ventus' body was at Castle Oblivion through communicating with Aqua's armour.

I never denied that he was looking for Ventus' body.

While possible, I think it unlikely that Ventus will be used as a member of the organization. We already have one (if not more) characters we are trying to save out of the organization.

I think Ventus will be on the side of light. 

Don't know why they are looking for darkness if they are short Xehanort will just create more of himself?

 

If they were looking for Ven they would free him from Sora first when they captured him?

I guess it could makes sense, since he does meet every requirement to be a nobody. How would they wake him up, though? Sleep seems to be a little different than just becoming a heartless/nobody, plus I think that after this long of a time searching fruitlessly through that awful place I'd just go and recruit someone else as a darkness. Castle Oblivion is some nasty business. How many years have they been trying to figure the place out with minimal success?

Ventus is sleeping at castle oblivion. What about Vanitas. I'm sure when Aqua wakes Ven up Vanitas will return and join Organization XIII.

It is not that easy, really. Ventus' body was a perfect opportunity for a vessel because his body did not contain a heart, and so was open to having one of MX's heart fragments placed inside it.

We do know that during Chain of Memories Xemnas was searching for the room Ven was in. It may have been echoes of Terra's desire to make sure Ven and Aqua were safe, but it could also have been Xemnas's desire to find another vessel for Xehanort. Xehanort did say that Sora and another on their list belonged to him. We know where Aqua is and she is the least likely to be a vessel. Terra being a vessel is such an obvious choice, one that may not even be true since Xehanort has his original body and Xemnas is not considered to be Terra. Nomura said that the lights would be surprising, perhaps the same can be said for the thirteen darknesses. If that is the case then there is no reason that Ven couldn't be one of the vessels.

That's just a matter of semantics. Aqua is the only one who can reach him because anyone else would get hopelessly lost. Whoever searches for Ven will make no progress without Aqua to guide them. The rooms are constantly changing in response to the visitors memories. Sora loosing his may have been an organization trick, but the configuration of the rooms was not. 

As for Ven being a SoD, it's possible he may become one, but he's not right now. The end of 3D clearly showed that he is still asleep in CO. In order for him to be turned Xehanort would have to follow Aqua and get to Ven before Sora returns his heart.

  As of the end of DDD, Ven's body was still in CO as we saw with our own eyes.. When we saw the new org gathered in TWTNW all 13 darknesses were present once they included Sora. They gathered to implant/ welcome Sora as the 13th . So when MX said another on his list it was Terra- who he already said became his vessel . Since Ven's body was still in CO it cannot be him . But now that Sora didn't become the 13th it's possible for Ven to be a replacement as the new 13th - but doubtful since only Aqua is said to be able to find him . It's why Xemnas and crew never did . They need Aqua's memories to navigate CO to find the right room since it's based off her memories. So the chances of this are slim unless nomuralogic finds a way around this and he's the one who said only Aqua can find him. As for Xehanort he can still have Terra's body and appear like the old man if his heart won control of the body and the 'heart shapes the vessel '. We do know MX won control enough to carry out his plans in both his ( AX) heartless and nobody. Nomura stated Terra's circumstances were a deliberate mystery ..His body/soul was part of Xemnas but the Xemnas we saw in DDD was from the past so that's moot

Well A Fagmetary Passage can be discounted since BbSV2 isn't happening. As for Ven being nearly awake, it's because his heart has almost copletely recovered from the damage caused by his final battle with Vanitas.

fragmentary passage- noncanon since it's a concept trailer for a game that never happended. However,  DDD - the most current canon game shows him still in CO and his heart still in Sora
