I really hope that this means that there will be another Mega Evolution for all of the Mega Evolutions that have been revealed so far.

Just imagine that Ash's Charizard would become into 'that'.....I better pre-ordering the game quickly...

Hmm... if only mah  3DS could still read Game cards... and have a working R Button...

I like the Y version better.

Charizard is weak against fairy's now <_<  I'll probably still go with Y

So both are Mega Charizards but different designs in each game?

He looks soooooo cool. Talk about Chartastic xD

I'm not into Pokemon anymore, but that looks awesome. Besides DAT BLUE STACHE.

It sucks knowing that a Maril could completely destroy it haha

Chairzard is not nor has he ever been a dragon type. Unless he was revealed to be in X, which I don't know.

Yes as Meg Charizard X it was reveled he was Fire/Dragon

I'ma bring logic here.

Fairy type does half damage to Fire types, Fairy type does double the damage to Dragon types.

Water type does half damage to Dragon types, Water type does double the damage to Fire types.

So in the end, Charizard suffers ordinary damage from both of Marill's types.

Yeah I figured that little after I posted, wasn't thinking about Charizard's other type for some weirdo reason.

damn pokemon and it's annoying dual types

Well, at long last. However, what does that mean for Ground types? being part Flying, Charizard had immunity to a dangerous type, what with Earthquake and whatnot. So, now he can be affected by Ground types, unless his ability is Levitate, which I doubt.

And now charizard is FINALLY fire/dragon

Better than having a 4x weakness to rock like regular Charizard and Charizard Y have xD

Is Rock type really that big a threat though? I've never played past Gen 3, but I've heard Rock types get a huge buff after Gen 4. Before that, I never had a problem with that type. I mean, Brock is the first Gym leader, so he's easy. Besides that, there's never really any instances where Rock is a major threat to me.

He has Tough claws which means he's screwed against earth types

Yeah, it is. Physical attackers usually have at least one rock move such as rock slide or stone edge which would easily kill any Charizard, even one with max defense. Also there are stealth rocks which take out half of Charizard's health just by switching in (entry hazards).. Mega Charizard Y could still be viable if it has a speed boost as well as special attack, or else it will quickly be killed against most teams...

I see Charizard Y having more usage due to Drought+leads. It has to either be first or come in before SR so it can turn into mega. Now X can be more usable as if the same story applies, it can switch in a little more. (It's still hurt x2 by it)

Glad no one brought in Ho-oh as an example. Ubers is way too fast of a meta game, it has dat bulk, spamable Sacred Fire, Regenerator, and other stuff that make it usable despite of SR. (Still not recommended to switch often on it, even with recovery moves/ability)
