So, after snooping around a lot on the interwebz, I've been seeing a lot of criticism about the new KH3 Beta trailer. Such as:

• "The graphics look bad!"
• "The characters' faces have no emotion!"
• "The gameplay isn't anything new!"
• "These new summons are stupid!" 
• "Donald and Goofy's AI looks just as bad as it was in KH1+2!"
• "The HUD looks weird!"

And the like. But, I don't think we should worry about this. Why not, you may ask? Because, look at the beta trailers for the other games in the past!

Consider the beta, as opposed to the final game:

• The camera seems even worse than the final game.
• The human characters' faces look ugly at best, and downright horrifying at worst.
• The graphical FX look poor, compared to the final game. Look at that lightning spell, for instance.
• It seems buggy. (Donald casts a blizzard spell directly into the wall, for heaven's sake!)
• Donald and Goofy's outfits are different from the final, and their faces are just as emotionless, if not more so, than they are in the KH3 Beta trailer. And they turned out fine in the final KH1 game.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep:

• Just about none of the situations in the trailer happen in the final game. 
• The HUD is kinda different.
• That area of Radiant Garden isn't even in the final game!

• Obviously, Sora and Riku's outfits are different.
• Again, half of the situations in the trailer don't happen in the final game.
• The HUD is the same basic idea, but lacks polish and is a lot uglier. 
• The characters' "Flowmotion" movements/attacks are a lot quicker, but seem a lot more impractical and more difficult to control.

 

So, if there's anything that I'm trying to say here, it's that the final game of Kingdom Hearts III is going to be a lot more polished than what we've been seeing in the two trailers we have so far. So, don't worry about the game being buggy or having emotionless faces on the characters. Let's just wait for it, and see what they come up with!

I know, but I answer for future reference when people come to complain (since naturally a topic saying to not be worried, results in people ignoring it all together and listing their worries ).  I think the only thing wrong with the trailer is that I most likely will not see any of the features in the actual game (as you said, Beta trailers never really hold the truth about any games final product )

I gotcha. But, I doubt that it'll be *completely* different from the final game, so I don't think I would worry about that either. Like, with the other beta trailers, they all showed things gameplay-wise that were, for the most part, in the final game, except with a bit more polish by the time of release.

Head up display xDI thought Donald and Goofy were useless but never really hated them like some, I just didn't give them any of my items and then when I started KHFM recently it was like, okay Imma die at like the first boss if I ain't got more potions and shit flowing

I love them both, its just Donald that bothers me a lot with his unreliable cures. Goofy is the best when it comes to attacking, especially in Re:CoM.

I think, it's their 3 heads in the bottom corner, the way they move and all annoys people

 

I've actually been saved a few times with Donald's cures, but give most my mega-potions (if I'm dishing them out) to Goofy since his health is larger than both Sora's and Donalds so he has a larger range to actually use it before he dies... I still haven't got to play Re:COM, Uni steals all my time and it's very depressing ):

I gotcha. But, I doubt that it'll be *completely* different from the final game, so I don't think I would worry about that either. I've seen a few people on youtube and facebook saying it. One moron even compared it to PS2 era graphics. And like I said, I don't necessarily agree with these points. I was just pointing out why people shouldn't worry about them.

He probably is, at this point. But that will probably change after XV gets released

Those damned comments were bring me down from my KH3 high that i had to get off the forums!

 

I don't know how may times i've had to explain to someone through forums, tumblr, facebook and even on the phone that you never take a trailer to be the final product, especially when its just a trailer in the alpha stages. UGH.

 

I've also seen some one say that "It doesn't feel like Kingdom Hearts anymore" and that "It's too dark" so they aren't going to play it anymore.

i just. The game is probably going to feel more like kingdom hearts then all the games before because with the graphics they're using, it feel realistic and cartoony at the same damn time. UGH people.

 

Also, the reason why it looks "Too dark" is because the lighting was darker in the trailer to bring our the light for the damn train and ship.

He probably is, at this point. But that will probably change after XV gets released

Or Square just can force him to start development on XV-2 since they hinted sequels for Noctis Uchiha's Adventures

Huh... Now this is just my assumption, but I doubt they'd start on XV-2 right away when they know the demand for KH3 is so high. But then again, you never know with them...

I guess if someone wants to complain, they will always find something to complain about. There's nothing wrong with being critical and I mean nothing. These comments ain't criticism though. They just search for flaws ... IN A BETA TRAILER. And c'mon, if you're a fan and love the game, I don't see a reason to desperately search for flaws in THE BETA TRAILER of the game you love. 

 

I should calm down, but comments like that piss me off. I just can't stand stupid people. But seriously I won't let the last two hours of my birthday get ruined!

 

However, I never saw all these beta trailers from previous KH games, but I saw some screenshots from the part where Terra and Ven were at the great maw in Radiant Garden and I always thought: where da hell?! ... now I know where it came from, aha. Well that's a newcomer for you.
