    "Christmas food" in NZ isn't very elegant. We pretty much only have Christmas tarts/Xmas Pudding/Christmas Cake, all of which I'm indifferent towards. Everything else is just regular food, which is delicious of course.

    We get to eat stuff we don't usually get to eat throughout the year on christmas and thanksgiving!

    Yup. At least in my house, Christmas dinner is a lot like Thanksgiving, except we have ham instead of turkey.
