I don't know if any of you remember this but Sora has a mother who even called him down for dinner early in the game. What was she doing during the time he was off gallivanting in kingdom hearts games? Not to mention she had forgotten about him when he went to sleep and then suddenly remembered him like everyone else. Not only has her kid been missing, she forgets him and then remembers that she forgot about her missing son.

 

She'd probably go nuts. They need to address this! were they on milk cartons? did they try looking? did they even care?

It must have been something pretty disgusting to have Sora not care.

It's best not to think too much about it, only friends/friendship matters in this game.  _{*I did once, and it only got me angry*}

FREAKIN CINDRELLA IS ORPHAN (THAT BITCH STEPMOTHER ISN'T HER REAL MOTHER),ALL PRINCESSES OF HEARTS EXCEPT JASMINE AND AURORA ARE ORPHANS!!!So what prevents Nomura from orphanizing Sora and Riku??It'll emphasize the theme of friendship more because you'll value your friend as if he's your family because he'sshe's the only thing you have.

Video game/Movie parents aren't like real parents.  Where real parents would flip their lid, in movies/video games/shows the parents are, if anything mad/upset for about 30 seconds before they move on and accept that their child is destined for greatness and has a destiny and all to fulfill and allow them to go out, be reckless and almost killed.

Alice isn't an orphan (or, at least, you can safely assume she has parents), and neither is Belle (her dad is crazy ol' Maurice).

What Aang said is a bit convincing. I mean if Nomura would ever have the parental thing back then I assume that Kairi would've explained to Sora's mother about the situation

I'm gonna solve this right now. Why does Sora not think about his parents? The same reason he doesn't really mention Kairi in the first part of KH II.

They were safe at home. It was enough for him to know that.

As for KH I he was worried about his friends and didn't learn until later in the game what happened to the DI. I'm sure he realized after the explanation that defeating Ansem and restoring the worlds would save them too.
