Posted January 2, 201411 yr I'm just interested, I mean it's certainly a possibility. It's about time we had a new intro song and not Simple and Clean/Sanctuary for the billionth time. Hopefully she will return with a new song, but what if she didn't?
January 2, 201411 yr What is wrong with Simple and Clean / Sanctuary ? I mean they are both pretty good songs . I would count on the slow version of Sanctuary this time .

It's not that there's anything wrong with them, it's just we've heard them both a million times. It's time for something fresh and new!

I mean in the whole series ,different versions of Simple and Clean /Sanctuary were used . I don't think it's a good idea to change that at the last game of the Xehanort Saga....
January 2, 201411 yr What is wrong with Simple and Clean / Sanctuary ? I mean they are both pretty good songs . I would count on the slow version of Sanctuary this time . Cause KH3 is a new main title. It need a brand new song.
January 2, 201411 yr This song, probably. It perfectly fits with the story I hope not No no just no ....
January 2, 201411 yr The girl who sung for TWEWY. She's bilingual too so she can do the Japanese and English versions of the song.. She's really good trust me.
January 2, 201411 yr for what it's worth immediantly comes to mind (buffalo springfield or ozzy version)
January 2, 201411 yr I wouldn't really care or know about the lyrics since I'm not writing it, but honestly as long as they get someone who sounds like Utada (and no doubt there's bound to be a few) to sing the third song I would be happy enough. I think after KH3 it would be fine to replace her with someone else who has a different sound if she doesn't want to record the music anymore, but since her voice has been in the MX Saga this whole time I think either her or someone similar sounding should round it off in KH3. What is wrong with Simple and Clean / Sanctuary ? I mean they are both pretty good songs . I would count on the slow version of Sanctuary this time . Each numbered game has come with a new intro. Simple and Clean and Sanctuary are great, but overused by this point.

It would not be good to just "cut off" the tradition of putting those songs in the beginning . I mean there is no need of changing those kind of things at the very last game of the Dark Seeker Saga . And I know they are overused but I do think that they can be used one more time .

I mean there is no need of changing those kind of things at the very last game of the Dark Seeker Saga . And I know they are overused but I do think that they can be used one more time . It wouldn't be cutting them off. It would be putting another new fresh song at the start to go with the brand new long awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 Game. KH1 introduced Simple and Clean and KH2 introduced Sanctuary, it's a tradition to have a new song with a numbered title, and then recycled those songs with the handhelds cause it's cheaper. Reusing one of the songs honestly would just come off as lazy. KH3 is meant to be new and innovative and not just a rehash of the others cause people are used to it. Change is to be appreciated, not feared to lax in habit. I do like the songs and I've liked them even as they've been reused, but they do introduce a new Utada number per numbered title, if she's not willing to work for them they'll have no choice but to go with someone else.
January 2, 201411 yr I remember in a tweet somewhere Utada's father confirmed that she would be involved in the next Kingdom Hearts game. So its either a new song or Simple and Clean/ Sanctuary. Edited January 2, 201411 yr by Master Juan
January 2, 201411 yr I don't know about this... It's been used so many times and people love them, so I see no reason to change it right now, in the last game of this Saga... Changing it in the next one would be great, but in the end, after being used a "billion" times? I think they're going to keep them at least for KHIII.

January 2, 201411 yr some justin bieber song, obviously. NO WAY, REBECCA BLACK OR NO SONG AT ALL! I remember in a tweet somewhere Utada's father confirmed that she would be involved in the next Kingdom Hearts game. So its either a new song or Simple and Clean/ Sanctuary. Pretty sure that was confirmed to mean something about the HD Remixes, not KH3. The girl who sung for TWEWY. She's bilingual too so she can do the Japanese and English versions of the song.. She's really good trust me. I was hoping someone would say this.
January 2, 201411 yr I don't know ... I think fresh changes should be done in the next Saga . Not in the last game of the Xehanort Saga... But would you say that with Sanctuary? Like they never should have bothered introducing a new great song and the whole saga should just be Simple and Clean remixed/rehashed/rapped/slowed down/orchestrated. It's not completely changing things. It's following the pattern they have with numbered games to give us a great new song that hypes you up for the game. Now if they got a band like Korn to do it, I would say yeah, that's too far. But more than likely if Utada won't do it we'll have another soft voiced lovely Japanese woman singing a mutually agreed upon number for the opening sequence.

January 2, 201411 yr I remember in a tweet somewhere Utada's father confirmed that she would be involved in the next Kingdom Hearts game. So its either a new song or Simple and Clean/ Sanctuary. Sadly, he then RE-tweeted right after that saying he misunderstood the question directed to him stating "will Utada be involved in KH3?". Sucks... :[

I do not really remember the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 and ,thus, its introduction song so I can't really know .But still , Sanctuary and Simple and Clean had some other versions which covered the other games . And I think it wouldn't be right just to make a new song for every single game . It's exaggerating and expensive , I would say .
January 2, 201411 yr I don't know ... I think fresh changes should be done in the next Saga . Not in the last game of the Xehanort Saga... The next saga is 5-6 years from now. (Considering development time for KH4.) The last time we got a new song was back in 200-freaking6. That would be 13-14 years all together that we would be without a new song. No thank you....

And I think it wouldn't be right just to make a new song for every single game . It's exaggerating and expensive , I would say . It's not making a new song for every single game. They release new songs for the numbered titles: KH1 (Simple and Clean) KH2 (Sanctuary) and then KH3 it'll be expected. They reuse those songs then on the handhelds cause it's cheap. I think in their KH budget they more than likely have the money for a new song for KH3, like they did with KH1 and KH2. It's what keeps the series fresh and sets the numbered titles apart from the handheld games. There was already news that Utada has been approched to record a new song for KH3 and she is currently undecided, but more than likely whatever her decision there will be a new song. It's what they do. It's what makes the numbered titles stand out. And it's about time we got a new song. You shouldn't let your nostalgia for the intro music of the past halt progression. If you want to hear it, you play the other games again.
