Well I as I'm sure almost everyone else thought on this site is that it would've already been released in japan and we would have had a release date for other countries kinda similar to how 1.5 was bit that's not the case. What I hope is that they announce like a worldwide release or a week or two apart between the japan and rest of the world release. Well we shall see at E3 hopefully

No, it's typical Square crap. Doesn't really surprise me in the slightest. It gives me time to get a PS3, anyway.

I honestly don't know when to expect a release date to be announced, so I'll just stick with saying it will come out soon (release date - I mean).

Square Enix know when they want to release it, they plan these things in advance.

They might know, but they have no excuse to continue hiding it from us like they are. They should have given us more than just "2014" a long time ago.

What more do you want at that point? They still had to do the Re:coded cutscenes which were finished in March or April. They'll announce a release date around E3. Square Enix don't release things as soon as they possibly can, get used to it. They have higher priority's than a Kingdom Hearts HD collection's release date.

I'm not saying they should release it now, I'm saying that they should tell us WHEN the game is coming. Even a "Fall" or "Winter" would be better, and definitely possible from them.

No point doing that when they'll announce the actual release date a month or two later. Square Enix always have a campaign strategy. They release information and content when it suits them best.

It's only been a few months. They'll have a new trailer, demo and release date announcement at E3. And in the lead up to it's release they'll give us new screenshots and trailers. That's how they do it. It's only a HD collection.

Exactly, it's only a HD collection. That means it shouldn't take this long to make the freaking game. Nintendo had Wind Waker HD done 6 months after announcing it.

The Japanese versions of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix were finished in time for Jump Festa. 

 

Since then they've been working on the Re:coded cutscenes and now that they're done they'll announce it at E3.

Yes I am. I thought they would do it like they did with 1.5 but I guess they had other plans and waited ALL the way to E3 to say anything.

I am disappointed, but only because I'm comparing the release of information to what they did for 1.5 (which had already been out in Japan by this point last year), even though they are two separate beasts entirely.

They said they'll release the game in 2014, that's all I need to know.Its not like Versus XIII where we didn't got any information about the game for many years. We just need to be patient.

Not really. All I hope is that the English release isn't too far off the Japanese one at this rate. I'll be disappointed if the game comes out in December or something though.
