I never said that YOU said she would be in a new game. I'm just reiterating facts that back up my statement: calm down, we don't know anything yet. It can't possibly be another sequel, so save it until we know more. 

 

Also, Lightning is the flagship character of FFXIII. She WILL appear in stuff. It's inevitable. Don't freak out every time her name is mentioned.

She's a FF character, so yeah, she's popular. She's the new Cloud now, deal with it.

The only similarity that the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation has in common is the mythos. They take place in different worlds. Is lightning in Type-0? Is Machina and Rem in the XIII trilogy? No, that would be ridiculous, and Lightning appearing in FFXV is a ridiculous idea, and in my honest opinion, an irrational fear. Let's not jump to conclusions here. This is Noctis' time to shine.

 

Can they shoehorn her in FFXV? Sure they can. Will they? Highly doubtful. Her story is OVER. She will not be stealing Noctis' spotlight. I cannot stress this enough.

New KH3 trailer with Lightning in it? Very doubtful, but it would be neat if that were the case. From what I've seen, Lightning is fairly interesting in her own games. But I enjoyed her interaction with other characters in Dissidia (though, I like the other characters more still)

Well to be fair XIII-2 was a good game...it' just the two games between it(13 and LRFFXIII) were awful

It's not Enix that's doing this, it's Square. Enix doesn't even touch the FF series, they do Dragon Quest. :

Honestly, I wouldn't really mind that. FFXV is supposed to connect to the FFXIII mythos. Having Lightning show up would really sell it for me.

I like OC too, but we've been there too many damn times. We're better off visiting the Land of Dragons or Beast's Castle, or dare I say Port Royal (that one actually works considering there's more PotC sequels to use lol)

 

Also, I could have sworn that the original concept of FFXV, back when it was called Versus XIII, involved more characters from past titles being plucked into a modern day setting, and by that I mean they actually go to the real world by some form of magic plot device... whether I'm right or wrong (and I'm probably wrong), that idea certainly got tweaked around, didn't it?

I think that they need to expand on OC. Add in more areas, and I don't mean the Underworld again. :

Well to be fair XIII-2 was a good game...it' just the two games between it(13 and LRFFXIII) were awful

okay I liked 13-2 because it was a much better system than 13 but I like 13 more because the story was better IMO so in a way both games are equally good!

I'd be lying if I said that was true. For newer fans, it isn't exactly true. In fact, I'm one of the newer fans. I think you're making a big deal out of something that doesn't need it to be. I like Lightning and happen to know others who do like her as well. Even if I didn't like her, I'd have no problem with her being anywhere. I dun really care for Cloud, but you dun see me complaining about him. I dun care for Tidus, but you dun see me complaining about him. Hell, I dun like Caius or Snow. They're my least favorites, yet I'm not complaining about them or making a big deal about them. Lightning's an icon either way, it's best you start getting used to it.

Well she is going to appear I Theathrythm Curtain Call as a playable character does that count?
