I was wondering how after Kingdom Hearts 3D's super mega flashy moves, how will we get reset to Level 1? I believe we shall be told that through unlocking it in the Realm of Sleep we as Sora/Riku have unlocked the potiential to use the moves but we must now train to perfect and master the techniques we acquired in the Realm Of Sleep

The've already learned the powers, they just have to master them by beggining with them from zero, because (I think...) nobody can teach them...

Kairi has to start from scratch, while Sora and Riku just say "Eh, why not?" and start over anyway. I'll leave the creative process to the actual writers, thank you very much. 

Kairi in the prologue ( and a long one too ) so by the time we get to sora/riku it will be on par (kinda) with their skills and abilities  

lea for the prologue, him training or in radiant garden and stuff. Then to riku or sora to start the "actual" game I guess.

It's a tie vote and other vote wins. Sora and Riku is playable and also Kairi for prologue.

Honestly, its one of the things I can blindly accept, even if it doesn't make a ton of sense in the story's canon, just because the gameplay would be too overpowered right at the start otherwise. 

They've explained it pretty well in past games why Sora loses everything via castle oblivion for COM and Namine for II and needed to start over for the dream world test. 

 

So I think its gonna be that all the skills they learned stayed in the dream world or maybe the potential thing OP talked about.

I looooveov elove love the idea of playing as Kairi.  But I doubt theyd make us go through the trouble of playing and leveling up as her to just switch off to Sora?? it worked in kh 2 but if they were to do that Id think itd be lame to just cast her off like that. id like for her to continue being a playable character and have some sort of bbs ddd thing going with three protags switching through the story. 

It would make sense to start with Kairi. She's like how Sora was at the start of kh1. None of us know what the hell trollmura's going to do, however. But it would be lame if he retcon-ed Sora's power level again.

Yeah but it was so different. Roxas had to be reabsorbed into Sora, passing on the time you spent leveling up to Sora. I think itd be kind of awkward to stop playing as Kairi.

 

It would be cute for the tutorial to play as her, but at the same time, if she's still learning the basics that close to the begining, what the heck has yen sid been doing with his time.

They've already learned a lot of their potential and in KHIII they need to master it, but they'll probably have to unlock more of their full potential.

Yen Sid will probably reset them or tell them about unlock potential!

I'm betting we'll start off playing tutorial characters like we did in KH2. It will either be Kairi or Lea.

Why not have Lea as the tutorial character? He's a cooler character than Kairi ever was, anyway.

Yeah I imagine Yen Sid teaching Kairi how to use the key blade, and you fight Lea to practice (and dummies)

And like Donald teaches you how to use magic, and goofy how to use items and heal (theyre probably be there because sora could be doing a special task).

I REALLY hope we get to play as Kairi in the tutorial when she trains with her Keyblade. Maybe Yen Sid will teach her some magic, and Lea could be her sparring partner.

I think Sora will somehow get reset when Ventus wakes up, either because there's a transfer of power from Sora to Ventus, or something happens to sora's heart after Ventus's heart is gone
