Okay, remember how Aqua was in the darkness with ansem the wise? And how Both of them were talking to each other? Well, In Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora and Riku both land there when they defeat Xemnas. But Aqua isn't there? Where could she be? Birth by sleep takes place BEFORE Kingdom hearts 2. So she must of escaped somehow? Can anybody explain what happened to her? If you do know the answer.

I doubt she felt like staying in one place & wait to be saved. The realm of darkness is a dangerous place for a young lady. She probably just went somewhere else.

There is no answer. She didn't necessarily escape. Odds are, she moved on to another part of the Realm of Darkness, if not the alternative. We'll know when KHIII comes out.

I thought it was stated before that the Realm of Darkness flows at different times for each individual person that arrives in it. Maybe it was just coincidence she happened to cross paths with Ansem the Wise at the exact moment?

The scene between Aqua and Ansem takes place after KH2 because time flows differently in the realm of darkness. So...they're likely still lthere.

In think Nomura said that there are two identical shores in the RoD, one closer to the RoL (where Sora and Riku were) and one closer to the RoD proper (where Aqua and AtW are)

 

Also, while BbS does takes place before the rest of the series, that particular scene takes place after KH II as evidenced by the fact that AtW says it's his second time there. Aqua and AtW may have wound up there after Sora and Riku left.

From what a lot of people are saying. It's because of different time flows. I was just curious because i never heard of any differential in time flow before in the series. (I've played BBSFM but never really pay'ed attention) And BBS took place beforehand so i was thinking maybe aqua escaped or something similar to that

Yeah, that scene happened some time after KH2. In the BBS ending Ansem the Wise said that currents washed him up on the shore and that he lost his memory during that time, so he was probably floating in the Ocean for a few Realm of Darkness "days". Riku and Sora only stayed in the Realm of Darkness for a few minutes/hours (hard to tell), so they would have left before Ansem and Aqua reached the shore.

III - About the World of Darkness and such, you haven't gone into detail. Could you possibly talk about some of these things? Does the beach at the beginning and end of KH [iI] have some connection to the World of Darkness? 

Presently there are 4 main untold stories to consider: "the period of the King's absence", "the period of Riku's absence", "Roxas' time in Organization XIII" and "Xehanort's past". In this case, the story of "the period of the King's absence" is set in the realm of darkness. I am examining a way to tell these 4 stories so I might be able to find a way to tell them soon. What can be called the dark coastline seen at the beginning and end of KHII is the tip of a world. It is not strictly part of the realm of darkness but rather what serves as the boundary line in between the dark and the in-between. In the ending, Sora and Riku were on the coast on the in-between side and were looking at the sea of the realm of darkness. The door visible in the dark sea is a scene that symbolizes "Deep within the darkness, there is light", as Sora said in the previous KH.

 

So Sora and Riku weren't fully in the Realm of Darkness (they were in the Realm-Between) while Aqua and Ansem the Wise are on the other side of the beach (fully in the realm of darkness).

When aqua fall in the realm of darkness it takes places like ten years before KH 1. When she is on the RoD she was walking there for a long time + the time there is different (thats why she looks beautiful in the KH 3D Secret ending e.e) + maybe ansem and aqua arrive there AFTER riku and sore were there.

I wonder what aqua and ansem are doing there..

The realm of darkness is larger then only the beach you know? I think she is still in there, but just on a different location.
