I was just thinking that maybe he won't be because from what we have seen from the E3 HD 2.5 ReMIX trailer, the exclusive Final Mix cutscenes are getting voice-overs. But it wouldn't make sense to have two different voice actors (Christopher Lee & Corey Burton) to voice him in the same game. They even replaced his voice completely in the HD 1.5 ReMIX for the remastered 358/2 Days cinematics. I'd hate to admit it, but it may be very unlikely to happen and it's a shame because Lee is a WAY better Ansem the Wise than Burton is, am I right?

 

What do you guys think?

I'm curious to find that out myself. But if you look at things, Why would they just switch around? Personally, it wouldn't make sense. If anything, they get a different voice actor. Which is very unlikely.

They will use all original dialogue recordings any new recordings would have Corey Burton. Christopher Lee is like 90-years-old, and they wouldn't be able to afford him for one cutscene if any.

 

I think the only new cutscene that DiZ appeared in was the one following the fight between Riku and Roxas and they recorded that in 358/2 Days so they'd just use Corey Burton's lines from that.

Nah, he didn't retire; he's just too expensive. They did manage to get him once more for the original 358/2 Days on the Nintendo DS, but after that, nada.

Oh. I hope not. Seems likely though.

Lee is awesome, But I've already got used to Burton, so... I don't actually care.

 

EDIT: And I don't know if everyone here knows, but Lee and Burton's voices are very similar becaus in movies, animations or anything that Christopher Lee cannot do, he will call Corey to do the job for him.

Corey Burton is the audio double for Christopher Lee, I like his voice and his acting just like I like Christopher Lee's. He's up to the task, just fine

I doubt it's the cost that is stopping them, I think it's more that Christopher Lee is 92 years old and isn't accepting roles any more unless they are very small ones. That's been the case for the past number of years any ways. They simply might find that it's not that much of a big deal to get him to return. I'd be very surprised if they re-recorded Ansem the Wise's lines just for the sake of having Corey Burton voice them.

 

On another note if they did re-record the lines does that mean Namine's lines would get re-recorded too as Brittany Snow doesn't appear as her in any game except KH2? We already know Meaghan Jette Martin voices Namine based on the 2.5 trailer in the newly dubbed scene in KH2FM so it's anyone's guess really.

I would think they would get Lee to do it. Yeah he's 92, but he's been in the hobbit movies. Doing a voice over would be pretty easy for him.
