What's your general opinion on Re:Coded

Posted

There where times I could really enjoy Re:coded and I have restarted playing it several times, however I have only finished it once. I can really get into the system sectors and everything but then somewhere in the game it just starts dragging them out too long. The story is really weak, but I do really love the way you love abilities.

I still think it's a pretty solid game. The variations of gameplay from level to level were actually very refreshing, and presented a change from just mashing X all the time. It kept you on your toes more, and also made each world visit more of an experience. Also, the keyblades were probably the best in the series, as the boosts they gave really effected your style of play, and made you pick your weapon wisely.

As for story, I think it works. The entire plot with Sora's Darkside is probably one of my favorite story elements in the series, and is something I'd like to see take a step further in the future. Not to mention the lack of Xehanort makes things infinitely enjoyable.

Came in here to say exactly this ! xD

The game had me going WTF on the Data Sora part at first, but it wasn't a bad game. The Traverese Town missions were annoying, but the hedge maze in Wonderland was pretty good.

All in all, was it as GOOD as the first KH?

No.

Was it a bad game?

Also no.

i like its sphere grid system or chip grid system depending on how you look at it

i pretty much feel the exact opposite of how i feel about RE:CoM

Story wise? it's not that great  but the i think that the gameplay is great hell i'd even say it's a bit better than days gameplay wise

honestly i don't get all the hate for it sure the story not that good but it was fun and i like what it did with each world having a different gameplay style. and i loved how keyblades did something other than just increase magic and attack witch is something i'd love to see go into KH3

Talking about the story, it's not very important... But if you're a KH fan, you shouldn't miss it (even if it's not the best game xD)

Only cared for the secret ending.

RE:Coded gets way too much hate. It's a fun game in its own right, implementing the command board and making for a fun time. Some of the world gimmicks are bland and annoying (like the turn-based olympus) but apart from that it's fun. The most common complaint with this game is the story and I don't find it THAT offensive since its a retread of KH1s story pretty much. Sure it's unnecessary but I'd rather an unnecessary story than a bad/boring one (which in my opinion is Days)

It had it's moments like facing Riku a whole bunch of times with each version getting tougher. The story was interesting enough.

I really like the game. Technically, yes it is the worst in the series, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's just the least good.

It ain't bad, gameplay is really nice. Just the cutscenes and graphics and storyline bad, but overall good

I've been playing it lately and I think it's pretty fun! Sure they're are some frustrating things about it like fighting in hollow bastion part 1 or not being able to do certain things until after the game, but it's nice that you can replay an episode if you want to. I'd consider it a pretty good game actually.

My general opinion is that i didnt like the game due to the mini games but i liked the story a bit so yea i like the game.

I've played  the game only once since it came out, that same year. I never bought a copy, I played a friends. I loved it, actually. I didn't really like the Virus-world parts (where you find a hole and you go to this other world) but I enjoyed story and gameplay. I agree with what was said earlier, about Data Sora being forgotten and abused. I don't remember a lot from this title, since it's been awhile, but I loved it all the same.

Re:Coded has the funniest gameplay in the Kingdom Hearts Saga so far and it's definitely not unnecessary since it HAS a plot and it IS relevant. I've found it pretty much interesting and the plot is also moving at times.. It has nothing less than the other installments, in my opinion

I never played Re:Coded so I don't have a solid opinion of it yet. Based on the few scenes I've viewed online it looks alright. I can say though I'm looking forward to watching the cutscenes in KH 2.5 :D

good gameplay

eh story

overall i liked it, definitely not the worst in the series

A complete pile of shit.

Platforming, Non-existent.

Gameplay, a complete copy/paste of Days but worse.

Graphics, shit beyond belief, don't use the excuse "Oh but it was on the DS" No. Days had Semi-Decent graphics and it was on the DS.

Story, completely unnecessary.

Overall, a game not needed. But that's just my opinion.

Truly. It's only the gameplay and that...FEELY ending that holds this game together.

Best Gameplays.

Shortest Story.

That's it.
