how much did you like kingdom hearts chain of memories?

Posted

personally i loved it i loved everything about it especially the story it was definitely one of the more darker toned kingdom hearts games i loved the whole concept of "to find is to lose & to lose is to find" i loved the way sora changed as his obsession for namine drove gooby & doland (LOL) away () in his search for namine i also really really really loved marluxia as a charecter for many reasons such being the incarnation of death (DOOM) in the english version he frequently proclaims himself to be the "lord of the castle" while in the japanese version he seid "god of this castle" i liked how in riku's playthough they went all "DRAGON BALL Z" like when riku fought lexeous & he powered his ki(LOL) darkness and how riku could sense marluxia when sora mercilessly killed him with no remorse (LOL sora's face after he beat marluxia). i thought it was kinda weird how many elements from com went unused in the latter installments like how charecters could feel others energies or how riku could smell darkness anyhow did you like com or did you hate it because of the card system ruin your experience personally i liked the card system.

I liked it a lot. I liked that there we're actual fight scenes in it. On top of that Marluxia made for a fantastic villain.

HELL YEAH HE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At first I hated it.

Then I beat it and watched the cutscenes in the Theatre Mode. I started liking it more.

Then I played it again, this time actually knowing what I was doing.

Now I love it.

story wise? i thought it was fantastic

gameplay wise? i completely hated it. CoM combat system almost made me not want to play the game. It wasn't too hard or too complex no just the opposite, the only fight that required any strategy was the last form of the last boss anything else can be defeated easily by spamming one ability or just mashing x until a green card pops out. i liked the story but getting to the story just felt like one big chore, each floor being more unbearably boring than the last. It's pretty sad when the winnie the pooh floor is my favorite in the game.

overall i consider it the worst in the series excluding that which shall remain unnamed

The plot was okay. Maybe I would have liked it better if the whole Namine thing wasn't spoiled for me. :P And the gameplay was godawful.

Was great.

Yes

I can understand that. I thought you may have had some deep hatred for Days or Re:Coded lol.

At least you don't hate the best game ever (KH V-Cast)

you call that a game

Sadly, it's the only game I have never beaten.  I think the gameplay is a niche thing where you either love it or hate it.  But the story is good and arguably one of the most important in the game.

Re: CoM? Loved the hell out of it. The only KH game I consider on par with the original.

Haven't played the GBA version though.

I loved the original Chain Of Memories, it had a more sinister and mysterious plot with the civil war between the organization members, a lot of treasons and I loved how the Sora-Namine plot was not what we thougth at the beggining.

Gameplay wise, I like it a lot, I dont understand why is so hated. They say that is difficult, but I beated the game with 9 years old. Are you saying that a nine years old kid can play this game better than a lot of older gamers?. It seems that when we have a strategic gameplay that needs attention to play, we complain like there is no tommorow.

It was the first KH game I beated, because the second Ansem figth was impossible to me at that time. I had to wait two years before I could defeat Ansem.

Ive recently played Re:COM in 1.5 Remix, and its better than the original. I absolutely loved the Vexen and Zexion figth,  the first one was truly intense because you cant be distracted one single time, and the second one was very creative at my sigth. The same with the new Marluxia figth. And Axel was so difficult that I forgave the easy but intense battle with him that they gave us in KH2.

I disliked the PS2 version for certain reasons i have no clue why, I just found the PS3 ReMIX version too be a better version compared to PS2, GBA was alright as well.

And Axel was so difficult that I forgave the easy but intense battle with him that they gave us in KH2.

I have to wonder if people keep saying this to embellish their achievements, because no, 13F Axel isn't difficult at all.

I personally liked it a lot. The gameplay got a bit frustrating, but I did think it was really fun when I could manage my cards properly. The story was really cool, too.

Its my opinion, pal. In the original version of COM, that battle was very easy, but I found it a lot more difficult in the remake of 1.5 remix.

In fact for me was the most difficult battle of the game and was waaay more dificult that the story battles with Axel in KH2.

It was the battle with Axel that I desired, the others were too easy.

I've played through the remake more times than I care to count; it's almost laughably easy to cheese the game as long as you set up your sleights and support cards right. And I'm not talking Beginner, I mean Proud with no HP gain. The only way I can think of people having trouble is if you insist on melee-ing your way through. (or at the beginning of the game, but that's less actual difficulty as it is having shit for supplies)

I loved it. The exploration sucked, but Disney worlds were short enough, and kept the focus on the main story, it was one of the better written games. Definitely one of the most unique games, you get use to the card system, and a great story.

Hated the battle system until Reverse/Rebirth. Its absolutely abysmal. I had to spam sonic raid to beat bosses and spam ragnarok to beat marluxia. Then again i did play it on proud so maybe its just me

I have not said in any moment that the game was difficult or something like that. You have a lot of more people who hate the gameplay sistem because it was very complicated and difficult. I love the game and im only saying that FOR ME, Axels second battle was the most difficult of the game. What are you incapable of understand?

I dont care about your boasts about what difficulty level you beated the game, maybe you feel better saying it. COM and RECOM was a strategic game compared with others KH, is a fact that you need to pay much more attention in the battles. This makes the game very difficult? Of course not, people complains because they didnt wanted to prepare their decks well and for that they got owned by the bosses. I only spent some time with my deck between boss battles and the most difficut one for me was the second Axel. Is simple as that.

I really dont understand why are you saying all this to me when there is a lot of people that think that the game stinks, Im not complaining at all.
