Okay, I really need to let this out. I have to say this and this will get me a lot of haters, but I think I can live with that.

 

(Before I start, I just wanna say that because I'm saying this, this does not mean that I hate Marvel or Star Wars, in fact, I am a Marvel fan myself, but not really SW)

 

I really do not want Marvel or Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts 3, or in any other KH game. I have my reasons and I'm gonna speak them out. If Square Enix managed to put these two in the game, then we can kiss the magic of Kingdom Hearts good-bye. Kingdom Hearts is a series that started out with just Disney and Final Fantasy, but the series is more Disney. Playing these games really gets me back my memories of watching these amazing Disney movies as a child with their loveable characters, memorable songs and beautiful stories. Seeing that magic go away by adding these two companies in will literally make me want to stop playing the games.

 

Kingdom Hearts IS NOT JUST A SERIES WHERE YOU CAN PUT CAMEOS AND CROSS-OVERS FROM EVERYTHING, JUST DISNEY AND FINAL FANTASY! Yes, TWEWY was in 3D, but it was something created by Square and they just let it slide.

 

If we are implying that Marvel and Star Wars should be in Kingdom Hearts just because Disney owns them, then we might as well say that Tomb Raider should be in Kingdom Hearts 'cause Square Enix owns that game. THAT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA!

 

I can't even imagine Marvel or Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts because they just don't match. First of all, yep I'm gonna say it, Marvel and Star Wars are way too violent in comparison with the magic of Disney. Marvel is modern day while all the Disney worlds we've seen so far are of ancient times. Star Wars is filled with many planets and galaxies, when we already have the worlds of Kingdom Hearts. NO DEATH STAR!

 

These two focus more on the action, while Disney works on the magic in the eyes of children and even adults. And I hate how people think that they can fit for STUPID REASONS like: Goofy can have Captain America's shield,Donald can have Thor's Hammer, Xemnas can have a lightsaber battle with Darth Vader. NO!

 

I love the KH series and I love it not for its awesome gameplay, but from its story. In fact, I sometimes believe that I'm just watching a DISNEY (not Marvel or Star Wars) MOVIE! When I think of KH I don't imagine a huge alien invasion or war, I imagine its amazing story, the artistic music and its memorable characters. Dearly beloved is, in fact, the very first thing that pops in my head, which don't match completely with Marvel or Star Wars. These two companies are amazing, but they do not match AT ALL with Kingdom Hearts.

 

The series has worked perfectly with the greatness of just Disney movies and we Kingdom Hearts fans have been happy with it. Every single HUGE Kingdom Hearts fan has said that they do not want Marvel or Star Wars, like the X-Keepers. It's the ones who are not huge fans and don't give a crap, that say that they want them in, like IGN (short for ignorant) and Jovenshire from Smosh Games.

 

One last thing is about Pixar. Pixar was not created but is owned by Disney. Pixar movies WOULD MAKE SENSE if they were in Kingdom Hearts because they give the magic too, but only certain would make it, like Toy Story.

 

Another thing I wanted to point out is another STUPID REASON as to why people think Marvel and Star Wars would fit. What is it you ask? It's because we already had live-action Disney movies in KH: Pirates of the Caribbean and Tron. They made sense. Tron was in a computer in Hollow Bastion and POTC had the curse of the Aztec Gold. They fit in if you ask me and I enjoyed them, but Marvel and Star Wars DON'T. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT!

To be honest I'm indifferent to this subject. It doesn't really matter to me whether or not they get put in KH3.

I don't want to see Star Wars or Marvel in KH3, IF they want to put it in Kingdom Hearts, they should put it in a following KH game, not KH 3....

I agree with you. And you won't get any hate cause your argument is pretty true. 

 

To hell with IGN. Just shows how much fans they are of the franchise. It's like they don't care about the story at all.

 

I just don't see what Star Wars or Marvel can teach us about friendship and kindness which is basically at the core of KH.

 

Pixar as you said could make sense. Movies like Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and Wall-E could fit right in.

Most people agree with you actually,so you won't get any hateful comments here. I would mind not seeing Star Wars in KH3,but I'm definitly not against the idea of at least Star Wars being in KH3.I agree that Star Wars is more violent than most Disney movies,but I'd say that Star Wars is more magical and maybe as equally violent as Pirate of the caribbean.

 

Final Fantasy also had a drastic change of setting.Final Fantasy used to be about kings,princesses,knights and crystals,but look at how different the serie is since VII and FFVII and FFX are probably the most beloved titles of the franchise and they have nothing to do with what Final Fantasy used to be about,its different,but it works,so as long as they know what they're doing with Star Wars,Marvel or Pixar,they can make great KH worlds with them and a little change once in a while wouldn't hurt.

I'm majorly with you on this on this i would much rather not see Marvel or Star War's in KH i dont even want to see small cameo's like Captain America's shield or something like that showing up cause if that did happen there'd be even more chance of there one day actually being Marvel or star wars in KH and i just really dont want that to happen

i don't think star wars would fit cause the series is stretched so far across so many movies unlike any disney movie in the kh series. though i wouldn't be against the idea of marvel being in the next kingdom hearts saga if anyone can mix the two franchises together and have them make sense nomura is the man for the job.

 

i still think sora teaming up with spiderman to take on the lizard or the goblin would be epic

I agree with you but honestly getting all worked up about it would literally just ruin the game for me if they did decide to include it , so im trying to stay indifferent for my own sake.

I really don't care if Marvel/Star wars is in KH3. If they can make it work then why not?

star wars and marvel are too violent compared to disney? They show an entire village burned down with everyone killed in it killed(Mulan), Scar killing simba's dad(lion king), frozen had attempted murder, Atlantis had guns, Ursula gets rammed to death with a ship in little mermaid, pirtates of the Caribbean had guns, an entire village tries to kill Beast in beauty and the beast, Tron legacy had genocide.

 

 

While I think Star Wars could work if you simplified it, Marvel's a lot harder and I honestly think its inclusion would do a lot better in a more subtle way. Mainly, the idea that their weapons would be incorporated as weapons for your characters. (Thor's hammer, Cap's shield, etc.) Or as summons. As an entire world, I'm not really sure it would work.

 

I'm not at all of the opinion that they shouldn't even be referenced or sneak a little something in relating to them, (It's a waste of an opportunity.) but I do understand that full-blown inclusion is best left off the table.

No they're not. Marvel I can agree with, but Star Wars? Pirates of the Caribbean is more violent than Star Wars. It's got way more blood than SW, anyway, which explains away it's blood due to blaster bolts and lightsabers cauterizing the wound. Also, if we're bringing up the 'Star Wars has many worlds' thing, I'd like to point out that the alien government from Lilo & Stitch clearly governs over numerous worlds. (None we see in the film, but the implication is exactly the same.)

 

I don't see how including the likes of Star Wars is any different than what they did with Lilo and Stitch. Not to mention the Death Star itself, which, even in the context of Kingdom Hearts, is actually a really neat idea. A world-destroying superweapon? That's awesome, in my opinion. 

 

 

Ultimately, it comes down to what the KH team wants to do. Given that Tetsuya Nomura is reportedly a big Star Wars fan, I wouldn't put it past them to put something in. If that's really enough to kill off any and all enjoyment you have for the series, then I'm sorry.

It could work if Square Enix makes it work. I want them in KH but I don't care if it happens or not.

 

Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean felt just as much non Disney as Marvel and Star Wars . But since Disney just recently bought these two people are making it a big deal and how they don't want it in KH3 or any other KH game. If Disney bought these two 10+ years nobody would be against this as much since they would be so used to the idea of Marvel and Star Wars being owned by Disney.

 

Not all of Marvel and Star wars is extremely violent , You don't see Wolverine or Mace Windu pulling off gruesome fatalities on the people they fight its no worse then the slaughter of monsters( heartless, nobodies, unversed or dreameaters) that Sora ,Riku ,Roxas ,Terra ,Ven  or Aqua have done. 

Certain versions of Marvel stories are very childish and Star Wars is family friendly for the most part ( if not all). So I disagree.

Lol, before I say anything, I was the one who originally commented on Goofy having Cap's shield and Donald having Thor's hammer, and I believe that would be the only way that Marvel could fit into Kingdom Hearts, because Marvel would only be appearing slightly, the weapons being cameos of Marvel properties.  Haha, it's funny how you hate my comment, lol.  

 

But yeah, I agree with you, I love Star Wars and Marvel as much as the next guy, but they would not fit into Kingdom Hearts, I just can't picture it.  Kingdom Hearts should stay Disney and Square, and they shouldn't add Marvel and Star Wars, but if Nomura ends up adding them, I'll trust that he will know what he's doing.  So yeah, that's basically all I have to say about the subject.  You make very good points friend.

 

Now, if I had a nickel for every topic I've seen in this forum about "Marvel and Star Wars would be great/not great in Kingdom Hearts 3." I'd be one rich motherlover right now.

I don't really care if it's in KH3 or not. I just want to see what worlds SE is going to officially confirm in kh3 when the game is released. That's all.
