Will there be new Princesses of Light in KH3

Posted

Since Kairi became a keyblade wielder does she lose her title as a 'princess'? And will someone take her place?

In order to be a keyblade wielder one should inherit it to a keyblade master or the strength of ones heart. Many fan assumptions were as to why she became a keyblade wielder were:

1) Riku handed her a keyblade in TWTNW

2) She was residing in Sora's heart in KH1 which made her have the power to wield

3) In BBS, she grabbed Aqua's keyblade in Radiant Gardens

Now Kairi was originally a princess and now a renounced keyblade wielder, can she be both?

If not, here's my list of who could replace her:

- Namine (Twilight Town)

- Elsa (Frozen)

- Vanelope (Wreck-It Ralph)

- Rapunzel (Tangled)

- Pocahontas

- Jane, daughter of Mary (Peter Pan)

Yes. She can be both. That's like saying I can't play Video games while also participating in sports.

The PoH are already decided/ existing .Secondly her hiding in Sora's heart didn't have anything to do with her wielding- it was Aquas keyblade she touched plus she was qualified .Now if a PoH died one might be replaced but that's a different story

She cannot just develop Darkness in her heart. She was born without darkness, but anything is possible.

Of course she can be both, In order to be a Keyblade wielder, one must have a strong heart, and the princesses have some of the strongest hearts in the series, in addition to the purest They have to, in order to be able to hold back the darkens like they did in KH1, And that was only 6 of them. Who knows what they could do if all 7 where present.. They're actually perfect candidates for being wielders. It's just that Kairi's the only one who's actually touched a Keyblade.

It's not a fan assumption that she became a wielder because she touched Aqua's Keyblade. It's a fact.

She is both, the only reason the other princesses don't have Keyblades is because:

- It's pointless for them.

- They haven't come in contact with a Keyblade.

These characters may appear in the game but not as princesses of light. Beside she could still be a keyblade wielder while being a princess, It would  make their life easier to have a princess who could protect herself.

Yes, she can be both.  Keyblade wielders are chosen, either by successors or the keyblades, PoH are born that way and new ones only come into it when one of the previous ones died and her light is passed on.  It's kinda like saying if you were born black, and got a job as a banker you can no longer be black.

It's also been confirmed by Nomura that she became a keyblade wielder by touching Aqua's keyblade, everything else listed is false, but because she did inherit the keyblade back in BBS, was the reason she could use the one Riku handed her in KH2 instead of it just disappearing like it does with Captain Jack Sparrow when Sora hands him it.

"The Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony is performed with a Keyblade Master touches someone using a Keyblade. When Kairi was running away from the Unversed in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep she grabbed Aqua's Keyblade, which performed the ceremony. That is why she is able to use a Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts II to help Sora"

I doubt that there are gonna be new PoH . And , yes , Kairi can be both a keyblade wielder and a PoH .
