Lol Are They Serious Right Now!?

Heck the PSP is actually a great choice since it has a lot of great games but was underrated.

Vita's biggest problem on the other hand isn't the lack of third party support. It's the fact that Sony barely support the damn thing with first party games

3DS and Vita are valid for different reasons. A person who enjoys the Vita in a lot of cases probably won't enjoy the 3DS

Really if you don't like Nintendo games the 3DS isn't that great of a choice for you, it has some good 3rd party stuff, but not THAT much, while the Vita gets a good variety of indie games.

And waiting is definitely a good idea, because seriously, the New 3DS is coming, that's annoying, releasing a half upgrade with some exclusive games. It's a bit of a headache, especially for casual buyers.

Something that guy didn't ven mention is that you can get 24 games per year for the Vita by getting a PS+ subscription, so that's pretty worth it too

That siad I don't have a Vita and probably never will :P

That was very well said, hatok.

You summed it up well.

DS is the greatest handled imo.

DS has an amazing library, want platformers? RPGs? Adventure? They have some of the best in nearly every genre

Besides like

shooter

I guess :P

...which I guess is an extra point in favour of getting a 3DS: you might be able to find some awesome DS games on the cheap

i say the 3ds is the best. i have both a vita and 3ds but i find difficulty finding vita games id like. as of right now i only have persona 4 golden (which is a port of a ps2 game) and gravity rush. freedom wars looks cool tho. but the 3ds has SO MANY FREAKING GAMES that i would LOVE to play and that makes it my favorite because i define a game system by its games. but the whole "so many versions of the 3ds" thing is valid. i understand why its a negative.

Maybe it's just me but I've been having trouble finding games on either handheld. The next game I'm interested in is Majora's Mask 3D and that's a remaster

"plans to overtake the vita"

Let's see how long it takes for the 3ds to outsell the vita. Oh wait, that already happened years ago

I honestly love both. The Vita has some great games and so does the 3DS. I am a major Nintendo fan so my favorite is obviously the 3DS, but I still love my Vita.

I love Sony, but honestly, I see no point in ever getting a Vita. The only games I'm interested in on the system are just ports of PS3 games (Sly 1-4), and I've tried one before, and it was really uncomfortable. I'll just stick to the 3DS. :/

I want my 4:28 minutes back. lel

Sounds like he got paid or something among those lines, or he's very ignorant. He didn't even mention Pokemon. What a dumbfiretruck.

I actually quite like Vita, but I just hope there was more games available gor it... lol I only have P4G.

But 3DS is better imo.

It is the best~

No but seriously in terms of hardware and usage, it's miles ahead of the 3DS. 3DS just happens to have a surprisingly excellent library of first party games (most of which are nostalgia-based, but hey, what isn't of Nintendo's these days?), a trait lacking in the Vita.

It's a strange thing because that's essentially what the Wii U has, yet the PS4 is outselling that a billion* times over. So ultimately, it's just down to some strange market preferences. I'm willing to give the Vita a mulligan. Just not before Gravity Rush 2.

With the PS4 versus Wii U it's an issue of massive marketing failures from Nintendo and a strong marketing push from Sony

I bought a Vita when it first came out but then sold it a month later due to no new games catching my interests, even now I wouldn't want one.

It might be better in terms of hardware, but what's really important about a system is its game library, and the Vita's done horribly with that so far. It's pretty much a port/indie machine.

I wouldn't say horrible, but yes, it's not as good as the 3DS in terms of available games. But it has a lot more potential, and a lot more that can be done with it, which I would argue makes it a superior machine, just one that has not been supported enough. I play mine both about equally, personally.

I guess saying that it's horrible was an overreaction, but at least in my own experience, I haven't seen a single Vita game that would make me want to go buy one. If Sony stepped up support, that could change (Although I still think that it was really uncomfortable to use when I tried a demo system), but for now, I don't see myself ever getting one.
