I've had this thought floating in my mind for a good while after watching the Disney classic, 'Mary Poppins'.

 

Out of all of the live-action Disney flicks that could get their shining moment in KH, I personally think 'Mary Poppins' would be a good addition for one reason; Being a good and fun musical world.

I think it'd be fitting for Sora, Donald, and Goofy in particular.

 

Now, I am sure that most of you remember the infamous Atlantica musical world back in KHII. People either liked it, hated it, or had mixed feelings about it. I'm in the boat that was mixed, but one thing was for certain; KHII Atlantica should've been an optional world to complete. That's my hope if a 'Mary Poppins' world is possible. If you do happen to complete it, the player could get a specialised keyblade or magic spell for their efforts.

 

I'm saving my ideas for a YouTube video I'm working on, so I want to hear your ideas for a scenario and gameplay of this world.

Meh, I think that classic is a bit old to be included in a currently developed game such as Kingdom Hearts 3. If anything, it should have been included in either Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2.

Excluding the live action thing, what would we do? I mean in atlantica we took down Ursula, but what the hell would we be doing in Mary Poppins?Just causing shenanigans?

We already have a world with shenanigans, and thats The Hundred Acre Woods.

While the songs of Mary Poppins are great, I don't know if full justice could be done to the character or the world if just deligated to a musical world. I would kind of like Mary as a summon, though.

I dunno. Squeenix has pulled bullcrap before like having Snow White as a world in BBS, and that film is really freaking old. I do agree that a MP world should have been made much earlier, though.

True but Snow White's world fitted in with the game more than Marry Poppins would of if it were to be included in Kingdom Hearts 3. Plus Snow White seems to be more known in the Disney franchise than Marry Poppins.

I can see it now! Sora and Kairi are walking through the sidewalk painting world, when Kairi breaks out into song: "Oh its a jolly holiday with you Sora. Gentlemen like you are few. Although you're just a diamond in the rough, Sora. Underneath your blood is blue! You never think of pressing your advantage, forbearance is the hallmark of your creed. A princess needn't fear, when you are near, your sweet gentility is crystal clear. Oh its a jolly holiday with you Sora. A jolly, jolly holiday with you!"

Ehhhhhh....I don't think so. I'd be willing to put up with a Frozen world sing off that shoves all of the already oversung songs down my throat, but Mary Poppins? Well, not much going on other than going to a magical world to have fun and a normal house in London where you have to behave. Not much conflict in the movie, just mostly lessons and whimsy. I'm not saying it's a bad or boring movie, I just don't think it could fit well in KH3 of all games. But hey, I could be wrong! Maybe Nomura and the team are interested in it and will come up with a good way to make it work.

If there was a musical world like Atlantica again, I'd rather see something based on Song of the South, especially since the Hundred-Acre Wood subworld is pretty much done with and it'd be cool to see another "no battles" world like that.

 

Too bad Disney likes to act like it never existed because of the controversy, though. Hearing an arrangement of Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah in a Kingdom Hearts world would make my day.
