What is the worst thing that could happen in KH3?

  • If at the end of the game, Sora wakes up suddenly in bed, and it turns out the entire series was just a bad dream. THAT, would be the ultimate slap in the face.

Story: It doesn't answer all questions or help us understand anything.   Gameplay: That it plays like shit or Sora is just too damn powerful. Also, if it's too easy.

  • The game loses its humor and the realistic behaviour of certain characters. I want these little funny moments between the characters what made KH so great.

but not just that, the events that happened in the dream will happen in real life causing us to go buy a new ver of the same games and RE:play everything again

That the real ending is only in the final mix version

The worst thing that could happen in KH3 is that it could become either too much like Final Fantasy or too much like a Disney movie. Kingdom Hearts is charming because of it's mix. I don't want Sora to be all like "LIGHT AND FRIENDSHIP POWAH!!!" and destroy Xehanort no problem, and at the same time, I don't want him to barely make it out of the fight alive.

Another horrible thing that could happen is that Xehanort at the last minute stoops so low that he does some cheap, cliche tactic like take a hostage and threaten to kill them to save his own hide. I want him to remain that maniacal genius until the very end.

As for gameplay, I really don't want the fighting styles we use to be OP, nor do I want them to be completely useless. Treat them like the Reaction Commands in KH2. They were useful enough to where you pressed triangle when the notification appeared, but not so powerful that they could 1-hit kill a swarm of heartless.

MARVEL AND LUCASFILM (STAR WARS) WORLD

That the plot becomes Sonic 06

Glitchfest

Kairi damsel in distress AGAIN and needs to be safed be Sora AGAIN, Kairi you have a keyblade use it

Yen Sid sitting on his chair and watching the guardians of light fighting against Xehanort and his horcruxes and drinking a cup of thea!

I'll actually be pretty disappointed if there's no main character death or betrayal of some sort.

There has to be some kind of loss, I don't want the finale of the Xehanort saga to be all happy, they can't end that without something huge like that happening.

Frozen being the next Atlantica.

Also, long as firetruck loading times.

If it was all just in Sora's head.

Vanitas is there.

Story: Xehanort isn't defeated. I don't care if he lives or dies, I just don't want him to escape or get away with it.

Gameplay: The game gets too easy.

No new characters would be terrible.

Sora killing Xehanort with ease. Nope nope nope.

The story is too predictable like DDD. Nomura kept saying that fans wouldn't expect what would happen in KH3D but almost everyone's first thought was to suspect the cliche "good guy loses for once" with Sora and of course that's what happened. Didn't help that the trailers basically confirmed that and spoiled it.

Another one is that the story raises more questions than it tries to answer. The Tomb of Prophecy feels like a dangerous plot device to throw in this late into the series but if Nomura can somehow make it work I'll be slightly impressed.

As for the gameplay, it looks like they have quite a few gameplay styles thrown in which is good for variety since people have complained that the series has become too much of a button masher, but will SE be able to balance those styles equally? If a basic combo attack is a effective as an Attraction Flow move, just less flashy, what's the point of wasting time summoning a ride and waiting for the animation to stop? These special attacks also have to be implemented in a way that doesn't break the game flow. I'm curious to see how this all plays out.

Those trailers were all lying, it's really Donald and Goofy controlling the party while Sora is the AI. >X)"

Pocahontas NOT being used (If it's not in this game, I may cry. It would fit perfectly for KH3.) Marvel or anything involving the Avengers being used.

If the game doesn't satisfy the majority of our expectations and if the STORY doesn't go out with a big BANG

Well I guess sora is going to be overpowered telling by E3... I dont want there to be too many keyblade transformations, attraction flow and so on because too many just kills the vibe for me. I want Sora to be more mature, e.g. sound older (which he probably will), act older. I want the disney worlds to be important to the main plot cause in KH2 half of the second visits are pointless to the story. And lastly I dont want to see less MX because they cant find a good enough actor and SE might think itll put off the fans. And the game doesnt crash...

Sora turns back in time and prevents the whole story from happening. That would be lame.

MX having a quick and painless demise.

How fair would that be to people like TAV?

Seriously. Who cares. He'd be gone anyways. You're only saying that because of Terra. :/

TAV's "torment" = a decade.

MX's "torment" = a few minutes.

And I'm supposed to feel closure at such a mismatch?

.....Your point? You risk a chance of MX escaping "said long torment" in the next saga just because you want closure?

A quick clean end to MX would guarantee no Xehanort influence in the next saga and seeing how KH3 will be THE end of the Xehanort saga, that's the idea.

And if you want a generic, predictable payoff, then be my guest.

Better than a payoff needlessly wanting something personal, irrelevant and would serve no real purpose in the context of the conclusion and leaves the saga's ending not definitive.

Remember Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and his "quick, clean end"?

Didn't go over well with the fans at all.
