Tabata has confirmed no release date during Gamescom. Because obviously the game isn't coming out for another year.

I'm watching the ATR, and they got things solid and everything is laid down in their plan. They will announce the release date after more information about the game is released.

There's going to be more, one by the end of the month at PAX Prime, and at this year's TGS, FFXV's getting  a lot of attention, and the release date announcement was already decided, too.

To be honest, I definitely was disappointed at first. But a little sleep and thinking made me figure out how to rationalize situations like this.

Yeah I'm not saying I wasn't disappointed as well, but then again I wasn't expecting a release date so I wasn't so disappointed, unlike some people who got really butthurt and salty over it

Maybe they'll announce it at TGS. You know SE favors home territory when it comes to big news.

I didn't say they were waiting until E3 2016 to announce a release date. Simply they'd want to market it there.

This is the first time I reacted to a FFXV trailer. I have seen the other FFXV trailers, but have not reacted to them. So this right here is a first for me. 

I read somewhere yesterday about this trailer being revealed last night. So here is my reaction to it. ALSO in the video, there is something that I wanted to read aloud, what I read in class on Facebook. In class, I was reading it almost at the end, till my instructor entered the room, and I had to put my 3DS away. 

 

 

 

 

This is what I was reading after seeing the trailer. I found this information from a fan group page status on Facebook. This is also from the FFXV website. I didn't know they had a website. 

 

"In a matter of days, the Kingdom of Lucis is to sign an armistice, ending a long and bitter conflict with Niflheim. Ahead of the ceremony, Prince Noctis, heir to the Lucian throne, sets forth from his homeland to formalize the union of states through his marriage to the Lady Lunafreya of the imperial province of Tenebrae.

The offer of peace, however, is no more than a ruse to lower the Lucian shield, and the imperial army takes the crown city and its sacred crystal in one fell swoop. En route to his destination, Noctis is shocked to learn that he, his father the king, and his betrothed are believed dead.

Trailer certainly wasn't what I was expecting but it's not that bad. There's some interesting juxtaposition between Luna getting smacked by whoever that guy is (maybe her father?) and then seeing how much Noctis' father cares about him and is saddened by whatever's happening or will happen to his son. The facial animation is also top-notch and Shimomura's score is in good form as always.

 

If this is supposed to be the start of the game's main marketing campaign, then I expect future trailers (maybe we'll get some at PAX and TGS?) will elaborate on other parts of the story. The "And so the story begins" bit at the end leads me to believe that at least.

Anyways, based on the analyzing tools from Foster Nora has seen some favor from this trailer. 1) New music with a very elegant chorus as expected from Yoko! The music gives this trailer a very nice opening with the theme "Impact" show casing the events that take prior to the main story of the game. "The dark before the dawn" is what you can hear.

2) Luna is getting attacked or at least pushed at from a armored man. This could possibly mean that Luna held significant importance even as a child, but as to what is still unknown. Now the question is weather the man whom pushed her is from Regis' Clan or not.

3) Fans do not worry! Remember this trailer takes place 15 YEARS PRIOR, which is plenty of time for a man to change his appearance. So, Nora feels that design of Regis in the other trailers will remain the same with this new one being of his old self. However, this could be wrong due to his E3 2013 trailer appearance when Noct was a child.

4) Nora's not sure about anyone else but when Regis said he would be with Noctis "always" it made Nora kind of sad. Evidence from past trailers and the ending of the demo lead me to believe that Regis will die in the game; and if that's so then isn't it just a little heartbreaking kn owning that from what he told his own son won't be physically true? 

 

Nora can see that unless u studied the trailer it can be worth nothing. However, it clearly shows the time in which Noctis was bestowed his power. So for the questions that arise and the the tone that it sent, Nora gives this trailer a 7/10...Oh wait the game is being confirmed for 2016...Ok 8/10!

Let's also keep in mind that in the OFFICIAL artwork that told the story of FFXV, Regis looked the same as he did before. And also Noctis as a child in the E3 2013 trailer is slightly older than when he was a kid in the Dawn trailer. If you look at the way his hair spikes and even his voice (which we can assume is in Japanese) then you can see that Noct in the Dawn trailer is even younger than the E3 one.
